To feel incredibly sorry for Eddie Izzard

I don't want to pity Eddie but I felt a wave of sadness after reading that Rosie Duffield (MP) said she would rather be arrested than refer to Eddie as a woman.

I can assure people it wasn't goady. I just heard about Rosie and wanted to share. If everyone on MN supports Rosie, that's absolutely fine by me. I just felt sorry for Eddie, that's all. Not that it matters, I spose.

So you’re sorry enough for Eddie to start a thread criticising another woman, but not sorry enough to use female pronouns - so you clearly don’t think he’s a woman either? Why criticise another woman when you clearly don’t believe yourself that Eddie is a woman?

Eddie is a man so anyone referring to him as a woman is wrong. He can dress and do as he pleases but he can't be a woman.

and I think he has implied he would prefer female pronouns but isn’t insisting on it.

I feel a little sorry for a transsexual person who suffers from dysphoria and spends their whole life knowing they can’t be an actual woman and avoiding female spaces but being very uncomfortable in male ones. Since Eddie is quite happy to be a male for his acting opportunities I can only assume he is taking the piss.
