The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

He is really angry.

Was that whole rant about his respect for Alison somewhat playing into Ben's hands, as LT has just made it clear he didn't socialise with the clerks and that social relationships played a big part in how clerking worked.

He's thinning his lips in anger. Possibly righteous anger. Maybe he did genuinely like AB but wasn't prepared to speak up in her defence?

I wish I could see this (I'm not watching the proceedings). I would love to see a barrister snarling under examination!

I think he’s roughly telling the truth now. He probably didn’t always tell the truth then.

I am still struggling to get on. Was fine before the break, but now while I can see other participants, I cannot see or hear the proceedings. Argh!

Have you accidentally crossed your video and audio feed settings out when first joining? That cuts the video and audio feed from the tribunal.

I suspect he's ashamed that he didn't do more to help her and that often comes out as anger

I got that earlier today. I just kept hanging up and retrying. I need to go out 2 hours ago now so maybe when I hang up, it'll let you in!

@pardonmytits I had to go out and come back in again - some people have had to do that a few times before it works

wow LT was visibly very rattled & possibly annoyed with himself . Lots of strange facial expressions & lip chewing showing discomfort, annoyance, tension.

though he does slowly seem to be settling down again now

I'm not sure how deep LT's anger was. Theatrical outrage is a skill that's developed by many people who have to perform professionally in court. It's useful to have.

Sounds like he was a good friend who let her down when the going got tough.

He's angry but you can't infer either way from an emotional response whether or not he's done anything wrong. People get angry when feeling accused.

I think he did genuinely like Allison, was a bit clueless about the administration and HR side of being a HOC and probably has made mistakes but might not have done that deliberately and may have been led by others who felt more strongly about the issues.

BC has LT on the ropes re the making a public announcement about investigating AB.

I think that's fair. He's struggling now I think over the confidentiality re the tweet.

He's basically saying he wasn't across it .. distancing himself from decisions made.
