The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.
On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

There is also live tweeting from

twitter.com/tribunaltweets

Yep, me too.

NoImAVeronica · 13/05/2022 14:06

Ditto ickky, assuming this means issue raised in case management is complex?

I bet EJ wishes it could be recorded. She could sit back and really listen knowing she could listen back to the answers later. She's having to write everything down.

Wait. What?

I thought it was recorded and/or transcribed? Is that not the case?

tabbycatstripy · 13/05/2022 14:09

The GCC barrister said it was very serious but also that it would take ten minutes.

nauticant · 13/05/2022 14:10

No, no audio/video record and no transcription. It was the same as the Maya Forstater case which also was an Employment Tribunal.

Motorina · 13/05/2022 14:10

From experience, never trust a barrister’s ‘ten minutes’!

tabbycatstripy · 13/05/2022 14:11

Back in.

SelfPortraitWithFoxInSmokingJacket · 13/05/2022 14:12

We're in. And Guest3 is on a bus with his video on... 🙄

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 13/05/2022 14:12

Guy in car 😂

ickky · 13/05/2022 14:12

😂😂😂Just got in and At Last by Etta James was blasting out from someone.

Well the accidental musical intro was apt!

No, no audio/video record and no transcription. It was the same as the Maya Forstater case which also was an Employment Tribunal.

There is a note on the joining page (I think) which said that only the judge is permitted to make an audio recording, but nobody else is allowed to record video/audio.

tabbycatstripy · 13/05/2022 14:12

There’s a guy combing his beard who is perfect.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 13/05/2022 14:12

That taxi driver! 😂

SelfPortraitWithFoxInSmokingJacket · 13/05/2022 14:12

What a beard. Is that Stonewall's Head of Lesbianism?

NoImAVeronica · 13/05/2022 14:12

Guest 3 making himself at home!

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 13/05/2022 14:13

Combing his beard
Is that some sort of coded message? 😂

nauticant · 13/05/2022 14:13

There's about 230 people in the hearing, so maybe around 220 observers.

wantmorenow · 13/05/2022 14:13

Long time lurker - I'm just getting a clack screen and no-one is presenting message. Is this right?

nauticant · 13/05/2022 14:14

EJ gives the cause of the closed case management hearing: One of next week's witnesses has been the subject of abuse and a physical threat on twitter.

wantmorenow · 13/05/2022 14:14

working now.

I'm in and listening to the judge

SelfPortraitWithFoxInSmokingJacket · 13/05/2022 14:14

Witness has been threatened on Twitter. Judge reminds everyone that intimidating witnesses is wrong, and action should be taken against anyone who does. No suggestion that they will close tribunal to public in response, though.

DomesticatedZombie · 13/05/2022 14:15

3... 2 ... 1 ... and you're back in the room

DomesticatedZombie · 13/05/2022 14:16

Guest3 has left his phone in a taxi!
