The absolute rage at any suggestion of 'win/win' solutions, compromises, reciprocal understanding and 'kindness' that might make this work.
Male prisoners in women's prisons offered separate shower times - rage, refusal, lawyers involved, the women's interests had to be crushed and conquered or it wasn't ok.
Male prisoners too dangerous to go into jails offered a specially set up unit to allow them to be on a female site - rage, refusal, lawyers involved, women's interests (and safety) had to be crushed and conquered or it wasn't ok.
Third spaces - rage, refusal, etc etc etc
Hamstead Ponds - one mixed sex pond there, there could have been compromises about times of the women's pool etc to ensure all females had access as well as males, but no, rage, refusal, etc (and conquered, now some females have no access and male people can choose from the three they own) .
Brighton Rape Crisis - three separate choosy choices for male service users, one mixed sex for women, could they compromise and set up just ONE little female only group for the excluded rape victims with no help at all compared to males' three different choices? In another building? In another part of the town? Under cover of bloody night ffs? No. Rage, refusal, only conquering and owning all services and forcing out female people will do.
This is so not about TQ+ inclusion.
