Surely "misgendering" is if you refer to a particular trans woman as "he" or trans man as "she"? It's not misgendering to state a biological fact!

I looked at the roles. Rob is a communication officer. I don’t know what that means. He’s not the best communicator. they are just repeating a script.

I am so cross about this. We can’t even talk openly because our words are redacted and we need to be anonymous. I feel bullied by my own profession.

FFS we are a profession grounded in science surely??? How is this happening?
I remember completing a CSP members attitudes survey or similar, about 2 years ago & refused to tick the "gender assigned at birth" box. I then stated my reasons in a free text box. I was raging then.

@stealtheatingtunnocks I think that refers to generating income from more people joining the CSP but the way they're going they'll be losing members before long.

Someone has now commented about third-gender people in some cultures (like the Hijra) but I feel that misses the point others are trying to make. Wouldn't it fall under the CSP's definition of transphobia/misgendering to claim trans people are third-gender rather than TWAW/TMAM?

Rob has responded too, saying to contact Council members if you are concerned. In fact he's posted the same response to different people, which shows how engaged he is!

I wonder if he/him is saying contact the council directly so as to take it out of the 'public' eye eg reduce the amount of us watching/thinking/talking about it

I've just replied to Elaine's thread on twitter today. Tried to make it clear I'm a physio & I know I have physios following me who are fully TWAW so it'll be interesting to see what happens. I'm having major gynae surgery on Monday so feeling a bit less fearful than usual & a bit angrier!

I actually believe him when he says they've come up with that statement themselves as it's just so poorly worded! If Stonewall had been involved I think it would've been something a lot slicker.

Council is going to change in a few months time and it'll be interesting to see what happens, especially considering some of the new members.

The CSP wound usually say something about Elain’s stand up. Seems odd that she had such a good run without commented let alone the hassle Twitter about Papee article today
