Worth a watch. How much do men hate women who say 'no'. When speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.

Just watched this. This man has made such a fool of himself in this interview. Who even is he?

Mollyollydolly · 29/12/2021 12:41

He was a contestant on The Apprentice a million years ago, worked in the City. That's all I know about him, apart from the fact he's a fool obviously.

It's interesting because I had a similar debate with a similar type man several years ago. The same barrage of misogynistic strawmen.

Alas I wasn't able keep my cool like Kellie-Jay keen did here.

Helleofabore · 29/12/2021 12:51

So… this man has no understanding about the difference between spaces set up for males to network and have discussions about employment and business that excludes women and safeguarding.

And thinks that medical professionals fully believe that a transitioned male is female? As in would transfuse the blood of a female who had once been pregnant and check test results for female ranges instead of …. Male ranges for those on the drug regime that individual was on.

And thinks he is clever? And then is staggered any a woman would dare suggest that a male can only ever be a male.

Well done Kellie Jay for making sure your head didn’t explode from the sheer inanity of that discussion.

Waftypants · 29/12/2021 12:53

Oh my word, that is a clear example of a man completely (and apparrently deliberately) missing the point. He just didn't acknowledge there is an issue with the safety of women and girls.
I don't know why I continue to feel shocked, you'd think I'd be used to it by now.

Mollyollydolly · 29/12/2021 12:53

The thing I love about Kellie Jay is the power of saying 'No'. They just can't handle it. It's so powerful. No prevarication, just 'No'.

He seems more concerned that women have been allowed into golf clubs! Kellie Jay is so controlled in how she responds to questions, always clear and concise. Love the way she does the occasional, almost mocking smile, too.

TinselAngel · 29/12/2021 13:01

He is exceptionally smug.

WeeBisom · 29/12/2021 13:08

I would have liked to see her push back a bit more on this idea that there are female brains or female minds because when it’s said so starkly out in the open like that it’s obviously mad — you can have a female brain “trapped” in a male body, really? But overall very impressive. She is so unyielding in her boundaries!

As for the guy, can’t believe he openly said “for these views you deserve to be cancelled” and then immediately lied and said he hasn’t called for her to be cancelled. Also amazing how he said “oh so you’re an expert on this?” But then admitted he isn’t an expert. So it’s ok for a male novice to say what he likes about this topic, but women are supposed to be credentialed? And his dig at feminists getting rid of male only clubs was very revealing. He ultimately sees women losing access to their spaces as just revenge for the destruction of male clubs. He was positively gleeful that this is now happening to women too, even though there is absolutely no analogy whatsoever between the Garrick club and a female changing room. Very revealing about his attitudes.

EarthStoodHardAsPrion · 29/12/2021 13:09

Smug voice and smirking. Interesting how clear she is, both when asking questions and answering them, whereas he was unable to answer anything.

Exactly this. She is just such a force. She didn’t over explain, she left him to get tangled in his own performative nonsense. I honestly don’t think this went as well as James thought it did.
Signalbox · 29/12/2021 13:17

Classic. What a knob. KJ totally trounced him.

idiotfacelicker · 29/12/2021 13:20

From what I see on Twitter, James is the only person that thinks it went well. I've not seen many (any?) supporters leaping to his defence, but perhaps I'm looking under the wrong hashtags.

UltraVividLament · 29/12/2021 13:20

He was truly floundering around when KJKM wasn't responding with the expected female socialisation responses of placating, demurring and smiling. She was clear, concise, consistent and calm in the face of all his puffing and huffing.

Signalbox · 29/12/2021 13:20

Trying to compare spaces where women need privacy to men’s clubs where policies are discussed and important decisions are made. KJ answered that perfectly!

littlbrowndog · 29/12/2021 13:29

Omg. She absolutely gave him a right pasting

She just said no

He was floundering about like a fish out of water.

BelleHathor · 29/12/2021 13:33

Old Harry Enfield video from the Twitter thread. Beware of the woman with a "wild and dangerous opinion". Posies kept her cool so well!

Mollyollydolly · 29/12/2021 13:39

It's getting worse he's now doubling down in his twitter thread and accusing women of being bullies, women who've lost work because of all this.

LangificusClegasaurous · 29/12/2021 13:47

Kelly has great stuff in her shop (love the quality of the hoodie I got), but how I wish she would sell me some of that cool, poised, stay-on-pointedness.

TheWeeDonkey · 29/12/2021 13:53

When people think Freaky Friday was a documentary 😂

What a tool

DaisiesandButtercups · 29/12/2021 13:55

Thank you Mollyollydolly for sharing that clip here and thank you Kellie-Jay, if you are reading this. You were fantastic and I can’t even put into words how much I appreciate you speaking out with clarity and confidence, standing up for women, girls, truth, common sense and reality!

Helleofabore · 29/12/2021 14:06

It's getting worse he's now doubling down in his twitter thread and accusing women of being bullies, women who've lost work because of all this.

That ratio is building nicely though.

He is proving he is as thick as mince.

TheGreatATuin · 29/12/2021 14:09

There are so many men who seem to do this. They'll have an interview or appear somewhere as a talking head and it's abundantly clear that they've got absolutely no clue what the issues are, but they're always quite happy to harrumph and tell off the women who do.
Then they get very, very cross at being challenged on their pronouncements and just resort to finger wagging.
They're pretty much the physical embodiment of a buttergasp.
Plonkers, the lot of them.

Runningupthecurtains · 29/12/2021 14:13

He actually says to her "you can never be in the body, in the mind, in the brain of somebody else" but he is arguing that you can be a woman in the body of a man. Can he not spot the glaring inconsistency?

PronounssheRa · 29/12/2021 14:14

Somebody can be born in somebody else's body

What a plonker. Another utterly clueless man making pronouncements on an issue he knows nothing about.
