Regarding the women who was sadly attacked, the media does make it clear it was a "targeted hate crime". This would suggest to me the problem is hatred against transpeople.

There's a reason why some Universities (see thread I recently made) are taking action to try to stamp out transphobia and hatred on campus. Hate, especially against a vulnerable minority group, is potentially dangerous and it has to be nipped in the bud before it flourishes into a big weed that's hard to get rid of. IMO.

They do though Rufus. I quite often report for those reasons (not just on FWR) and MNHQ often agree. Especially if a pattern is reported.

Get any two FWR regulars together on any topic and you have at least three conflicting opinions; but people listen to each other's arguments and meaningfully debate.

On this subforum on mumsnet, Twitter and Reddit's GenderCritical sub (oh wait that got banned for hate, so scratch that) gender criticals seem to think they are some sort of women's rights champions in shining suffragette armour protecting women and children from the "big bad transpeople".

But when a gender critical goes into the real world they seem to have a habit of ending up fired, kicked out of bars or hauled up in court (or at least be visited and warned by police).

Paedophiles are open about being paedophiles on Twitter. They're not banned. People brag about fucking animals on Twitter. They're not banned. Men threaten to rape and murder women to their heart's content on Twitter. They're not banned. The Gender Critical subreddit was spammed with child sex abuse images by those on the 'right side of history' to get it closed down, according to the former mods who had to desperately work to stop that depraved shit from flooding the sub.
