@Helleofabore
I was horrified on another thread yesterday that people were discrediting the mother of the 6 year old because she spoke clumsily of her motivations for being there.
because ’she said she went nude with her daughter to be "culturally with it" because that's what Koreans do.
people felt ‘her’ experience was to be ignored.
Of course the first poster who posted that believed that there was no problems at all. Assuming the man was not doing anything wrong (other than being a man) I don't see the problem.
I get the feeling that penis apologists, here & elsewhere, are casting around desperately for something - anything - they can use to discredit a woman & invalidate her experiences & her words.
We've seen it for years: we're young, silly, old, bitter, shouty, quiet, over-emotional, upper class, middle class, 'lower class', working class, - you name it, it will be used as a 'reason' to ignore our concerns & try to shame us into silence.
With wokery there's whole new lexicon of shame & derision, a brand new box of dogwhistles to announce, "This woman here! She's wrong! Ignore what she says & attack her at will!".
I don't understand what was deemed to be wrong in that quote. What are we supposed to be horrified by? Cultural appropriation in going to a spa that's open to everybody, & using it as it's meant to be used? Use of the word 'culturally'? I see nothing there that would make me dismiss that woman as unworthy to be listened to.
