Another man who accidentally killed his wife as he ‘flipped’. She was trying to leave, he must have stopped her then strangled her.

I do hope that with the manslaughter sentence he will still have punishment but fear with diminished responsibility he won’t.

Article by Julie Bindel praising book by Prof. Jane Monckton- Smith who has drilled down into 400 cases where a partner "snapped" and killed their partner (mostly women, a few male cases) and provided an eight stage profile of their modus operandi.

The author illustrates how many details of the home life are never presented in court (e.g. "house rules", financial control, monitoring movement etc) and she is convinced these men never "just snap" there has been premeditation often for years.

The homicide is the eighth and final stage: “It is rare they fail. Forget what you hear about how he ‘just snapped’, that’s bullshit.”
