I can't even follow much of the incoherent rambling that passes as replies to these tweets. Most of them seem incapable of articulating exactly what is 'transphobic' about anything she's written, or what it is about her that gets up their hooters so much. (An educated guess: she's female).

Nah they won’t, the amount of additional publicity the GC movement would get will stop them banning her.

I honestly think if they do ban her it will have the opposite impact to what they intended. She is so reasonable and she is getting so much abuse. It is basically a master class in how to deal with unreasonable people.

She's is great, she really doesn't have to do this, yet she carries on calmly and knowledgeably. She's been really supportive to individuals too.

I’ve seen fan groups set up charity fundraisers in the name of their favourite celebrity before. Could be worth someone contacting her agent asking if they’d like to set up a JustGiving page for a local refuge, or a national women’s charity, etc. Though it has the potential for abuse - people setting up fake fundraisers, etc.

Alternatively could just ask her to nominate a charity or two for fans to donate to in her name.

And share how great she's been during lockdown releasing her new book online and spending time looking at the competition entries and responding on twitter. No one can argue with that really but it might gain her more followers.

They're the sorts of people who post porn and abuse where they know children will see. So NO, we don't want them in our children's schools, or in our women's prisons, or in our spaces.

If you donate to Lumos, there's an option to do it in someone's honour, giving their email address so they can be told that you have done so.

Think that would be a nice Happy Birthday for her. Let's face it, there's nothing she wants she can't buy herself.

She also donated all the royalties for Beedle the Bard, it says on the page, to cover all the charity's admin costs. So every penny donated to Lumos goes to projects on the ground, to help and support the affected children.

It does some algorithm that looks at the people you follow and works out you must be a trf or a trnsph*be on that basis.

I follow all sorts of people, some I agree with and some I don't, so I have no idea how this thing works.

But I usually take it as a sign that I'm doing something right if I am blocked by someone I have never previously interacted with; it suggests they are easily offended and don't agree with free speech.

OK so I've had a look at the Lumos site and I'm going to donate nearer the time in honour of jk rowling and put Happy Birthday instead of my name, then on her actual birthday I'm going to post about her birthday and what she does for children and also about how she lives in the UK and pays tax unlike other super rich people. If anyone challenges me I'll take them up on it.
I hope it gets her attention and she knows how much she is appreciated.

Has there been any media coverage of the porn tweets? I told DH it was going on (not seen it myself as not been looking) and he said surely twitter had mechanisms to prevent such abuse. I was hoping to send him an article stating that it is actually happening....

She's on fire!! I am in awe of her courage. And when she said she has spent 3 years reading about this issue, she wasn't lying. She really knows her stuff. I'm so incredibly grateful to her.
