Now r/GenderCritical has gone, Helen from Mermaids wants to know which is the most transphobic

Not sure who's going to be targetted next, but MN is winning.

@justanotherneighinparadise

I actually got a wide eyed look and an eye brow raise from DP today after he was taking the piss out of me caring about this and I showed him the dice from Proud Trust. He couldn’t believe his fucking eyes!! He was always on my side but now he really really gets it.

What's this dice? Have you got a screen shot or link? Thanks

BTW a suggestion made today on one of those groups: instead of saying Transwomen are not Women, we should say, Seahorses are not Horses. Over and over. Everyone will know what we mean, eventually, but you can't exactly argue against it

I love that! Thank you.

Mumsnet is more than a discussion forum. It's a pressure group. It's been seen to exert influence in the past, more recently through its moderate success in challenging the sacrificing of women's loos to mixed sex spaces in various locations. That makes it a threat to anyone who would like to silence all but one side of this debate.

It's therefore predicable that this site would be the next target. It's only surprising that they've waited this long. The tide is already turning; it would never do to reveal the existence of any form of counter-argument. A cogent counter-argument no less, rather than the deafening, repetitive chant of slogans.

The message to Posie Parker was utterly sickening. The abuse directed at JKR was also sickening, in particular the attempt by Lloyd Russell-Moyle to silence victims of sexual and domestic abuse.

We see you.

@Lamahaha

^ and in the underground we are gathering strength, gathering recruits by people who can't speak out. One group admin said yesterday that they gained 2000 new members since the JK fiasco. Others say the same.
Just because you can't see us doesn't mean we aren't there, Helen.

And for every woman who has found the secret groups there are others too scared to even go looking. I could loose my job if I got “found out” and my colleagues are vicious. One recently posted a series of TWAW Instagram stories for pride and then posted that “several people” had unfollowed her straight after, but that she knew who they were and she was taking notes and will remember. They didn’t even say anything, just unfollowed. It’s sinister.

I can imagine the dossier Posie Parker has on the TRAs must be fucking huge. All it does is fuel her. So they have Satan on their side do they? What a massive non surprise lol.

That message to Posie demonstrates, yet again, how many of those involved in this movement are seriously mentally unwell and are finding the movement nothing more than a useful means to enable and normalise and excuse appalling behaviour and attitudes towards others. Rather like the MRAs, the incels, the misogynists and others who like the veneer of 'this is appropriate and ok so long as you only do it to x group - who we helpfully dehumanise to enable it'.

Until humans figure out that it is not ok to behave like this towards anyone, at all, ever, regardless of whether or not you like or agree with them, we've learned nothing from WW2 or colonialism, or slavery, or any other humanitarian disasters. And it proves that you will always find people who would love to unleash their inner chimp given half an excuse, and this is why laws, boundaries and protections on other people's rights are necessary.

This is a message Posie Parker received recently. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Dear God in heaven.

I've read some things in my time, but that is the worst by far.

That is the sort of person who will take a gun to a school.

Poor Posie. I'm sure she has seen some shit, but knowing there is a mind like that out there who can access her bloody phone?

Is there any way, at all, of tracing that person?

I am firmly down the twitter rabbit hole now. I have gone from zero to 175 followers in a few days just by jointing the conversation. We can and will resist. It's seems to me there is a snowball effect happening, more and more people peaking and starting to talk. Trans people, men, and many many many women. I

And again, just for lurkers and new MNetters to this debate: the general position here:

GC women to activist political lobby: you are fine, we see your needs, we respect your needs, can we please find ways to meet them that do not in the process harm female humans, who do need sex classification, and do not harm safeguarding for women and children? Can we please look for solutions that equally respect and work for everyone's choice of identity, need, dignity, privacy, safety?

Political lobby: death threats, rape threats, doxxing, closing down any groups of females trying to say this, no there is no other possible end but exactly what we demand to meet are own needs, and those who will be harmed in the name of achieving this agenda are just justifiable collateral damage.

Please don't take my word for it: go and check these facts for yourself. And then decide which political position here is one more in keeping with an inclusive, equal and civilised society.

We need to be prepared for onslaught after onslaught.

They have been gunning for FWR for years. Strangely not Data Lounge , Lipstick Alley or the Farms.
It's easy to misrepresent us as 'white feminists ' 'middle class wine moms' or now 'Karens' and therefore demand radical youth silence and ignore us.

The mobbing and mass reporting will get worse now as many used to focus all their hate all day long on gendercritical and Glinner. A lot of time on their hands now. I think we need to stand strong while still being very careful.

Hope the moderators are ready and prepared Flowers

Well, the person who sent Posy that ridiculous message has no idea of the consequences of their actions, it seems.

You've been a bit of a silly billy, haven't you, dear?

I'm too concerned about privacy to sub, especially after the casual reaction to intern-gate. Definitely not comfortable with my financial information being linked that closely to MN. Maybe they need to give much much much more reassurance.

I'd happily contribute one off payment via a donate button though. I'd do it with a message supporting FWR.

Can I ask why you don’t think they target the Farms? I looked at the site yesterday and can see they give shit to everyone and take no shit. I assume they leave them alone because they’re predominantly men and will have their arses handed back to them?

Yes.
Also I don't think they want to bring attention to it. Hateful as the opinions there are they archive and verify everything. Amongst the nastiness there are 100% provable facts and records of people's behaviour.

Also the culture there is "you come for us we'll come for you"
Us mumsnet users just want to chat and share info, we aren't dangerous except in the way that women supporting women are 'dangerous'.

The activists are desperate to paint GC views as conservative and only held by racist trad-wives. If they advertise that gay men, black women and techies agree it brings that whole lie crumbling down.

It's the man who sent the message.

But, as other people have said, it could have been a throwaway phone. Or any other way of circumventing detection.

I'm just wondering if there is any possible way of finding him. Is it actually possible.

I'm always seeing text savvy geeks in films managing to trace callers who think they have evaded their pursuers. Surrounded by banks of monitors, wires, an encyclopaedic knowledge of technology and a complete disregard for the law.

They way the come after trans people who are GC and support women and who appreciate reality is the closest I've seen to matching the attacks on women.

It's very worrying. My Twitter Is attaches to an anonymous and throwaway email and doesn't have my name included. It probably limits engagement with me but I feel safe.

I did a search for the number. It's on this page with a name. But could the number be faked? Like the scam callers do in the UK?
