Now r/GenderCritical has gone, Helen from Mermaids wants to know which is the most transphobic

Not sure who's going to be targetted next, but MN is winning.

I imagine Mumsnet going down will peak a lot more people than a subreddit. I would think it counterproductive.

There's Parler or Spinster or Glindr (lol). I've just signed up to Parler. There are others there Emma Hilton for example.

Is Tattle GC? I don’t know why that tickles me, but it does.

It reads a bit like this to me..

We've had a cracking week of stamping down on anyone standing up for women's sex based rights. We're drunk on power, so to go after next..

A) Popular social media platform this question is on
B) Other popular social media platform
C) WOMEN! Look everyone, over THERE! WOMEN! They have vaginas and everything, and now they're TALKING!! To each other! They can have whole conversations and not pay any attention to penises. How DARE they!

I bet Mumsnet’s got rate has shot right up!

Silver linings and all that.

You have wonder if the Newsnight story about the Tavistock clinic and the Woman's Hour feature today about the NHS changing its guidance on puberty blockers to express the clinical uncertainty about long term effects has rattled a few cages. That Twitter poll positively screams “squirrel!”

Ah well, there’ll a few weeks of patiently explaining things to new posters, with some recipe sharing along the way, until things settle with our newly expanded GC ranks. This only goes one way, so keep advertising for us I say. 👍

I hope MNHQ will manage to stay strong, but I think a plan B would be useful. Happy to go wherever the chat is!

Please don’t despair. I live in the real world. JK Rowling and the Asda debacle have got people asking questions.

Many people who before saw no problem with trans rights. Now they are seeing the erosion and potential conflict with sex-based rights.

Most people I knew thought trans women were all like Caitlyn Jenner or people who’d had extensive surgery. They have seen the responses to JK Rowling and are starting to ask questions.

The only hope the TRAs have us cancel culture and I am a descendent of a witch!

As far as I'm aware Campervan69 and StealthPolarBear linking to kiwifarms hasn't been allowed here for quite some time.

I think not permitting those links is a good idea.

Ah - a nice unbiased survey brought to you by the woman who's been proved in court not to know what 'transphobic' means.

In her lexicon it seems to be a term including something like 'transwomen who don't agree with me' and 'people concerned with the safety of children'.

Ok I'm afraid you have to tell me. Kiwi farms? Fruit farms? I literally have to know.

What a fabulous thread!

As far as I am aware Mumsnet don’t like links to any other forums at all - a sensible precaution to prevent users signposting competitors!

I actually got a wide eyed look and an eye brow raise from DP today after he was taking the piss out of me caring about this and I showed him the dice from Proud Trust. He couldn’t believe his fucking eyes!! He was always on my side but now he really really gets it.

I came here to see what was so transphobic about the website that asked the PM about biscuits and stayed!

A few friends have also started to ask questions about TRAs, having being shocked at the comments under JKR posts of children's drawings. Such vitriol and unhinged comments are making them reconsider TWAW.

If we started getting mobbed, I suggest we post lots and lots of screenshots of TRAs being abusive on Twitter. That way, anyone coming over here to marvel at the evil transphobes will instead get a useful education into their own side's tactics.

Me too! I was told to come here and hate-read so as to ‘educate myself’ on the evils of terven feminists...

Kiwifarms is horrible.
But horrible to everyone. Me. And my enemies. If I had any.

What's useful about them is that they collate and document everything.

Just Google then - type in kiwi farms and mermaids. The threads are fascinating. They pull no punches over there. Every leading TRA you can think of has their own thread full of fascinating information.

Actually I'd love to see the screenshots please! I use twitter for work but have zero interest otherwise. Though I'm aware of the Graham Lineman debacle and the tolerated presence of Minor Attracted People 🤮 thanks to Mumsnet.

It's all about control.

You would think with so many trans people who are suicidal or being murdered, they would be more focussed on helping them, but no, a bunch of women are talking about life as a woman - that's their priority.
