Ed is very smart, a gifted communicator, devoted to his wife, and one of the most thoughtful, kind, and compassionate people most of us would ever think to be fortunate enough to meet. (I have met him.)

I shouldn't take this to heart so much but I'm very sad to think how polarised so many of us are on this matter and that it seems implausible that we'd ever be able to have an open discussion on this topic.
