I'm still amazed at the ability of the human brain, apparently proven by 'science' to change sex. Really? So by that token, it can be convinced to become un-autistic, or un-depressed or un-schizophrenic, simply because it wants to be! I must inform my child's psychiatrist!

Between this and Baddiel, I wonder if we are reaching a tipping point. The ruling on Maya’s case was so batshit, a lot of people are suddenly seeing where this authoritarian nightmare is headed and feel they can no longer stay silent.

I work for a national charity. I was at a lunch with our head of equality, diversity and inclusion this week and took the opportunity to talk to her about this stuff because you all gave me the confidence and the words.
She gets it. She says there is nervousness in senior leadership. At the moment we have a delicate balance of different interests. I think she will hold the line.

I work at a massive blue chip corporate so diverse AND inclusive that a TW was not just brave and stunning, this TW was also nominated for a Working Mother of the Year prize a while ago. This person realised their true self when their children were teens. They now no longer have a father. But all good - one of their mothers is a Working Mother of the year.

I’ve been relistening to her Strike novels this month. She absolutely gets gendered violence and how it affects women.
Particularly the third novel, Career of Evil, where she has chapters from POV of the killer. I find them very uncomfortable listening.

A main character is a rape survivor and she shows how it has long reaching affects on the character’s life including dropping out of university, other life decisions and PTSD panic attacks years after the event.

I’m so glad she’s come out and supported Maya
