Ohhhh cross post you just want the T bit out.
Oookay but it's LGBT rights, so you really can't be surprised then if people say it's not in the spirit of Pride or whatever if you're saying get out..... Confused
Cos it kind of is if that's your stance.

Wishihad · 05/08/2019 18:57

I thought it was a march for their rights, to be seen and "out" and proud of being themselves?

They cant be our and proud. You cant say you are a female that's attracted to other females, at pride can you?

JackyHolyoake · 05/08/2019 18:58

What would the impact of a GRC be on these definitions in the EqA? Could a TW with GRC claim discrimination based on sexual orientation as a lesbian under those provisions?

In the context of the UK Equality Act 2010. a GRC only relates to aspects of law that impact on sex discrimination and gender reassignment. A GRC has no legal relationship with the protected characteristic of sexual orientation.

The Gender Recognition Act 2004 acknowledges that the issue of a GRC creates a Legal Fiction. A GRC only impacts on the holder's relationship with existing law such as marriage, pensions, benefits, and certain aspects of equality law.

TheInebriati · 05/08/2019 18:59

Receipts? We just want penis havers to stop hassling women. Its kind of a central tenet to feminism.

How is it in the spirit of pride to shout at lesibians for being lesibians? Even if it's only 8 of them?

Wishihad · 05/08/2019 19:00

Fuxking hell my auto correct is fucked up Blush

Earlywalker · 05/08/2019 19:00

While trans and there allies shout at 8 lesbians, (seriously 8 women who just want to love other women) and ignore completely all the perverts

Firstly, the woman ignored the MAPs too. Secondly, previously the protestors said that lots of them were not even lesbians. They were there to deliberately make a point - that is the point of banners is it not? And if you are going to protest something that may offend others then fine, do what you want, but how can you possibly cry victim when people who are offended protest back?

They had megaphones at the last one that was posted here, they were not poor innocent little lesbians just wanting to have a good day and be accepted.

Ffs people stop making all woman out to be defenceless little people who are attacked at any turn by default. I don’t agree with what these woman were doing but obviously they are brave and passionate people and if they’ve got the ‘balls’ to give the criticism, they should be prepared to take the criticism.

(Obviously as long as no psychical violence took place)

TheInebriati · 05/08/2019 19:00

How is it not homophobic hate speech to harass lesbians for being same sex attracted?

Earlywalker · 05/08/2019 19:01

You appear to be re-writing history here, please clarify.

Bierplease · 05/08/2019 19:06

this lesbian is absolutely sick of this shit! It will be a cold day in hell before I accept anyone with a penis as a lesbian. I’m attracted to females inside and out I wouldn’t let a penis near me if you paid me! If that makes me a TERF so be it.

Wishihad · 05/08/2019 19:07

Firstly, as people keep saying there were only 8 of them. Being shouted at by a much larger crowd. Surely the crowd would have been in a better position to see it. But focused on the 8 women. So either these 8 women were insignificant (as people have said) or they really weren't and distracted hundreds/thousands of people from noticing the paedophiles.

Secondly, if you are in a relationship with a biological Male, you are not in a lesbian relationship.

You cant say misgendering is a hate crime because words matter. Then say someone not in lesbian relationship, can say they are in a lesbian relationship because definitions dont matter.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 05/08/2019 19:08

This has been asked several times and not answered so I'll ask yet again, what exactly is transphobic about a sign, banner or t shirt that states Lesbian = Female homosexual? Just please explain the anti trans sentiment behind that statement.

Yes, I'd like an answer to that too, Aberhonddu. And TheInebriati's question too:

How is it not homophobic hate speech to harass lesbians for being same sex attracted?

Wishihad · 05/08/2019 19:09

You appear to be re-writing history here, please clarify.

No I am not. The women were shouted at because they were making the definition of lesbian clear.

How is it in the spirit of pride to shout at lesbians for being lesbians, by the actual legal definition of lesbian.

Aberhonddu · 05/08/2019 19:11

Early, you're the one re-writing history
So answer me this why is the statement Lesbian=Adult Female homosexual anti trans

Aberhonddu · 05/08/2019 19:12

I'd be interested in an answer to the Inebriati's question too Prawn

sackrifice · 05/08/2019 19:15

Firstly, the woman ignored the MAPs too.

They had the WHOLE of a PRIDE march shouting at them. I think I'd possibly not be 100% on my Paedo game when I was literally in danger of being beaten up by a load of aggressive men.

Earlywalker · 05/08/2019 19:15

One of the signs I see says ‘transgender ideology harms lesbians (female homosexual)’

That’s not really just saying ‘I love woman’ is it now. But by all means, continue saying it does as I’m sure you will.

Michelleoftheresistance · 05/08/2019 19:15

So if you’re cheering on the people who blocked that march, who said it wasn’t okay for women to carry a banner that said “homosexual female,” that’s you’re right. But realize that you are directly opposing gay and lesbian rights.

This.

If you argue in favour of this agenda and this behaviour then you are homophobic, and more specifically and profoundly misogynistic as it's solely about women choosing a sexual orientation that excludes penises.

Own it.

And while you're at it, own that this movement also excludes women with disabilities, women of faith and different culture, women who have been abused and traumatised, and believes in penis rights and feelings over safeguarding children.

There is nothing loving or inclusive or even basically morally decent about this ideology. It does anything but live and let live. Ask yourself why it is that TW are unable to attend Pride alongside homosexual women and tolerate them and their words for themselves and their self identification and give not one care for how safe those women feel? The rights are all one way. It's all about women serving TW, and that tells you a whole lot more about who they are and what they want than genitals do.

And even then I'd say crack on with that - be homophobic, racist, disablist, hate on women, whatever in your own time, whatever floats your boat. But they can't do alongside any other belief, they have to go and stamp it out. They have to win. They have to conquer. And that more than anything else when I see videos like this makes me determined to start going to Pride to stand there and say Fuck You. You don't get to put me down. You do not get to silence and erase me, and if my erasure is the price for you being happy then you're out of luck mate. I won't pay it. I don't care how fucking oppressed you feel.

WelshMoth · 05/08/2019 19:17

@Earlywalker

I understand these people protesting (presumably lesbians and not straight woman?) want to make a point that they don’t have to date men as they are attracted to woman but surely a clearer message is ‘love who you want to love’ or similar which is actually what pride is about, being free to be and love who you want!

Time and time again, it is proven that politeness and
consideration is getting us nowhere. Sure, what you say makes sense in a polite and civilised world but this whole movement is reliant on us women being nice and moving over. TRA's want complete and utter capitulation and any
sort of opposition is bigotry.

This isn't the time to be nice and reasonable.

Not any more.

previously the protestors said that lots of them were not even lesbians.

Ehat lots of the 8 were not actually lesbians?

They were 8 women with banners about lesbians being females attracted to other females. 8 women getting a really hard time from a load of mostly males. While being confronted by this much larger group these 8 women are also supposed to simultaneously notice any paedos and perverts and deal with them.

Michelleoftheresistance · 05/08/2019 19:23

You know they're getting really desperate for any kind of defensive argument when the most they can come up with is that they deserved it for

Heard. Fucking decades and centuries of women have heard this utter penis centred bullshit. Own it. These people behaved in a wholly appalling, anti woman, anti lesbian, homophobic, aggressive and threatening way and represent a political agenda out of control. And you're ok with it, because you believe women deserve it.

Crack on with that love. It's a free country. Just don't expect sympathy and respect for that POV around here.
