This whole hate speech/incident law is completely out of control. This is sinister.

i didnt know the back story - id be interested to know it though if someone would like to tell me what that arrest was for/about etc?

ive only just ventured into the feminism bit .

feministfairy · 30/01/2019 15:39

The blame lies with the politicians, civil servants, CPS and police leaders who bask in the glory of their Stonewall Diversity Champion Awards while dropping PC Gul and every other front line officer in the shit.

Excellent post from theOtherPamAyres And some great research from andyoldlabour

It's really important that all this is documented. When the compensation claims start flooding in (which they will as this current group of groomed youngsters finally appreciates the dreadful consequences of what has happened to their bodies) they will need this information to track back the organisations / individuals responsible for failing to safeguard them from harm.

sackrifice · 30/01/2019 15:48

i didnt know the back story

Did nothing in the original story ring any alarm bells?

That bit about female brains? The checking of someone's thinking? None of it?

rytonsister · 30/01/2019 15:54

what sack?
ive read this thread and no arrests were made as far as i can see?

instead of acting like im some thicky maybe someone could have explained who shark is and why the arrest.

or not. if not thats fine. i will be bowing out and namechanging anyway because i was also "doxed" a while ago and have outed myself again.

rytonsister · 30/01/2019 15:57

sack i was referring to the arrest of shark not the back story to this thread.
yes of course ivre read this thread from start to finish. i dont have twitter or facebook anymore since i was also "doxxed"

why the hell would i be commenting on this thread if i hadnt read it and surely you can see from my replies i had?

i am asking why shark was arrested as i thought it was to do with some feminist thought policing - could be a speeding ticket for all i know.
and actually - not that bothered really. i was referring to that and the post from langcleg

rytonsister · 30/01/2019 16:00

i can take a hint though -

i wasnt making it about me langcleg and there is obviously much i arent aware of amongst the usual posters on these boards.

i was quite happy to discuss and be educated and offer some insights in the way the police have to look at these incidents.

For anyone wondering how professional can be influenced by training which is so apparently flawed, do consider the dymanics of Mermaids training for teachers as revealed by Michael Conroy.

As someone astutely commented at the time, there were dynamics reminsent to how pyramid selling, Timeshares etc work.

Deconstructing parts of training from the outside is very different to being in a room with peers who have all apparently being swept along with the person presenting.

Just as the person presenting may have already being convinced by the same dynamics.

Recognising how the language of propaganda works is so important as when used effectively its a powerful tool.

Its easier to identify when things are transcribed.

Imherefornow posted transcripts of Mermaids teacher training event:
"Here are the links to the transcripts thanks to a wonderful mumsnet collaboration. Share as you will smile

The Liverpool council meeting last year was clear demonstration of how powerful propaganda can be and how easily people are persuaded:

Its really worth listening to the words of the woman representing Liverpool ReSisters, the words of the mayor Joe Anderson and then watch the reaction in the chamber:

Important context re the Liverpool Council speeches:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3364329-Motion-against-Liverpool-ReSisters-by-Liverpool-City-Council

The reaction of the Liverpool police as well as the mayor (Joe Anderson) to TRAs and against women was also very significant.

SharkBastard · 30/01/2019 16:11

I was arrested for Harassment and Malicious communications. Neither of which occurred. Why did the police not just ask me to attend an interview? No threats were made, just refused to be bullied. I'm a breastfeeding mother, have no vehicle as we don't have the funds, and I live in a rural village with no means of absconding

I was told that because I was compliant, they would refrain from handcuffing me. Although they felt it appropriate to leave me free bleeding for over 10 hours

I thought I followed this all fairly closely but I don’t think I’ve heard of your experience before.

R0wantrees · 30/01/2019 16:19

SharkBastard
I saw your recent twitter comments about the ongoing implications for you.
Its a horrific abuse of power.

SisterWendyBuckett · 30/01/2019 16:28

My god I'm so sorry Shark- I didn't realise what had happened to you. Utterly horrified and sending Thanks

ToeToToe · 30/01/2019 16:37

Shark, that is fucking horrendous. I'm so sorry Thanks

GerryblewuptheER · 30/01/2019 16:40

LangCleg · 30/01/2019 17:02

rytonsister - Shark's already elaborated and everyone has to be very careful with full details because otherwise, another vexatious complainant will harness another plod "just doing his job" to do it again to her or someone else.

You seem to be completely unaware of how this ludicrous guidance is being used by vexatious complainants to silence opposition to a political and ideological lobby.

Which is the entire point.

Carowiththegoodhair · 30/01/2019 17:21

Coughs and you only have to look at what’s happening to me. Police aren’t proceeding further although I have yet to be officially informed of this. So the man spewing out filth & invective by the hour, continues.

Oxytocindeficient · 30/01/2019 17:53

Oh my god Shark, that is so horrendous I can’t understand how that happens

RepealTheGRA · 30/01/2019 18:48

Ffs! Carow that’s made me very angry Angry

Flowers
CowJumping · 30/01/2019 19:56

Shark I'm so sorry - I was doxxed at my place of work (HE) and threatened with disciplinary action. The complainants argued I should lose my job.

For retweeting GC tweets. Retweeting! It's apparently an indication that I would go about "misgendering" people.

At least I wasn't interviewed under caution, as you and Caro have been ...

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 31/01/2019 11:36

Shark that's horrendous. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Less to do with trans issues but more relevant to the free speech angle, here's another instance where the police apparently have persecuted someone because of perceived offence:

AncientLights · 31/01/2019 12:16

That Magistrates' Blog is very interesting, PainInTheEar. Hadn't known of its existence before, will read avidly now.

MsMcWoodle · 31/01/2019 13:27

shark so sorry. We all need to do something but I don't know what else to do?

moimichme · 01/02/2019 09:58

Shark Flowers

We all need to keep fighting this and shining a light on what is happening to free speech in this country, before it gets worse. Sad
