This whole hate speech/incident law is completely out of control. This is sinister.

Sarahconnor1 As with Harry's accusation, the truth and facts are secondary to some people's emotional reponse.

littlbrowndog · 25/01/2019 12:33

Yes rowan
And I hold you in awe
You are great and always so informed and keep us informed from different sources

Melroses · 25/01/2019 12:34

You can watch live on I-player if you change the BBC1 area. I am assuming he is EYorks and Lincolnshire?

Datun · 25/01/2019 12:37

Transactivists want to shut down everything that exposes them. They've done it with gender trender, Megan Murphy and any number of feminists on Twitter. The relentless persecution of mumsnet is well known. And kiwi farms will be no exception. Although I suspect kiwi farms not giving the most minutest of fucks because they are accountable to no one, will mean TRAs have less than zero leverage and kiwi farms will continue to up the ante.

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/01/2019 12:38

Thanks Melroses. I shall watch it here when it airs (hope it will be today)

If this group works with prisons are they one of the groups that the prison service works with when placing male born sex offenders, rapists, paedophiles in women's prisons? It has always struck me as incredible that what are presumably pressure groups are invited to determine these placements.

Sorry I missed this feministfairy. Yes it's an interesting question. But I think the prison in Hull is a male one so they might not have much involvement.

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/01/2019 12:42

This is terrific exposure of the cult's batshittery though! People who might previously have dismissed it as 'feminists' making a fuss are seeing just how chilling the infiltration is.

I hope it isn't presented as one dopey jobsworth copper running amok though. I feel rather sorry for PC Gul.

littlbrowndog · 25/01/2019 12:42

They hate that we have a voice. Hate it
And the voices are being heard
😎😎

Yes I expect he will he thrown under a bus to save face.

The police will likely find out the hard way just what the TRAS are really like. The second they put one foot out of place they will turn on them and they too will get the calls and the death threats and the bomb threats etc

Hopefully before innocent people who believe in biology end up in prison

Ereshkigal · 25/01/2019 12:46

Gender shift closed but the founder is still on the circuit.

Thank you! They're still listed on a recent prison report as working with the prison. Could have been an error though. Or just the founder.

Ereshkigal · 25/01/2019 12:50

It's actually mentioned on 2 different annual prison reports when it was supposed to be closed. Curiouser and curiouser.

R0wantrees · 25/01/2019 12:50

Its worth being aware that FWR threads about recent articles discussing fetishism/autogynephilia by feminist writers were sufficiently reported to be zapped for 'not being civil'

Sue Donym 'The Elephant In The Room'
medium.com/@sue.donym1984/the-elephant-in-the-room-dc822144a81b

Jo Bartosch: 'Transgenderism: a fetish that got out of hand?
Some trans women get a kick out of cross-dressing.'

As the recent Woman's Hour segment, 'transwidows' threads etc demonstrate, these are important aspects which need to be better understood by women, parents & those concerned with safeguarding as they can have significant impacts.

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/01/2019 12:52

I shudder to think how many reports/lawsuits etc @MNHQ have been fending off. The pressure will have been relentless.

ChewyLouie · 25/01/2019 12:54

I feel sorry for PC Gul too, imagine if he hears about the Spider-baby 😱
Seriously though, we all make mistakes but this one will linger around like a bad smell for years, poor man.

R0wantrees · 25/01/2019 12:54

There are systemic failures in how convicted sex offenders are being dealt with. Report t this week:

'Sex offenders being released from prison into budget hotels, watchdog finds
Inspectors warn of potential risk to public safety and say work to stop reoffending is ‘poor’

I agree.

And I'm sure there were moments when they wavered. But now, the tide has definitely turned. Mainstream media, radio shows and news reports are all highlighting the problems being discussed on here.

Mumsnet are well and truly on the right side of history, and that is being proven every day.

Gedge77 · 25/01/2019 12:58

You can watch all the different regional BBC channels through Sky.

R0wantrees · 25/01/2019 13:00

There's quite a clutch of recent pro TRA articles in Hull Daily Mail.
Worth googling 'Hull Daily Mail transgender'

Seems there's an interesting corridor (M62?) from Liverpool-Manchester-Leeds-Hull.

Oxytocindeficient · 25/01/2019 13:08

I mean, these TRA’s howling about a few kiwifarms links ( I actually have no idea about that site or why it’s ‘bad’ ) are fully supportive of controversial and dangerous charity, Mermaids, who send children to a doctor that was successfully prosecuted and fined for handing out hormones to kids. So I don’t know why we need to watch ourselves because those idiots don’t like which sites we read. Mermaids endangers children, in the real world. I have an autistic child, extremely gender non conforming, and I will not be frightened off talking about this because of a few rich bored kids on twitter. My child’s life and health is more important. I do not want her or her friends doing irreversible things to their bodies because of organisations like Mermaids & Stonewall mind fuck them into thinking their bodies don’t match their minds.

Ereshkigal · 25/01/2019 13:09

Yes, R0, though the one I found in 2013 about the Humberside police officer receiving an MBE for his work with the trans community isn't available on the site.

There was also a BBC special on the news in 2015 with a couple of local trans people. There does seem to be rather a cluster there, I agree.

GerryblewuptheER · 25/01/2019 13:13

I've looked at the humberbeat Twitter page.

The first few tweets appealing for info about stuff are either unanswered or comments are about this case and the newspaper article.

In one phone call they have drastically reduced the amount of public assistance they are getting.

Hope it was worth it

BertBox · 25/01/2019 13:33

Harry's on TalkRADIO with Matthew Wright next! (13.30, half an hour in)

Now being reported in the Hull Daily Mail

OlennasWimple · 25/01/2019 13:36

Poor Humberside Police press office, having to deal with all this when there is no defensible answer: they clearly do not investigate each and every reported crime, someone decided to triage it as a priority and take action.

Welcome to the vipers' nest Hazza - hope you hang around

Bluestitch · 25/01/2019 13:37

TRAs still not understanding the Streisand Effect. It was the same with Posie's poster. Go Harry!
