Thanks, ‘Dr’ Rachel McKinnon.

What made you hit peak trans, and why? Apologies if this has been done to death - new to this topic.

Do you think Rachel realised her agenda has spectacularly backfired and peak transing thousands? For the first time in my life I, a staunch labour voter, feel I have to rethink my political leanings and can no longer support a party that are choosing to collide in misogyny and support self ID.

Drizzled wombat, so you have decided that trans people can be excluded because the women here have made you realise that some men will dress up as women and terrorise girls. And that is logical. It is ok to write the odious comments about trans women being men not women because of 100 years of fighting for rights (not fought for by these women) which doesn’t even make sense. The whole argument is predicated on the idea that men will dress up as women and that will make it easier to attack them.

Sounds about right, yes.

It doesn't even have to be intentional terrorism. If I remember correctly, the proposition that swung it for me was my hypothetical teenage daughter getting changed at the gym and turning round to see a ladycock waving around next to her. The consideration that said ladycock may be accompanied by a leer and a wandering eye sealed the deal. As I imagine it has for a lot of other previously trans-friendly people.

But that's what they are. What do you think the 'trans' prefix signifies? If they weren't men they wouldn't be transwomen they would just be, um, women.

Transwomen are transwomen, and that's fine. I support them in presenting however they want.

They don't get to go into women's changing rooms, compete in women's sport, be sent to women's prisons - because they are biologically male.

You can believe your flat-earth science-denying quasi-religious mantra that "transwomen are women" all you want - your belief in it does not make it true, nor does it make the rest of us obliged to believe it too, nor does it mean the world should be re-arranged to accommodate your quasi-religious belief.

Item: Daniele Muscato, tweeting (on International women's day no less) inviting dissenting women to "suck my lady dick."

Item: NUS Jess and Jess's social media page filled with images of Jess's erect penis, plus information about where they liked to wank (including bus shelters, of all bizarre places...)

Not seeing much penis hatred here.

Yes but you're talking about people with severe gender dysphoria. Not the many, many men who are trans because they have a fetish. You din't even have to spend five minutes searching to find them everywhere online. They exist. Go on twitter and search #girlslikeus and tell me trans women are hiding their penises and keeping it hidden. Because you might as well be saying Donald Trump is shy and bashful and too nervous to approach women.

Some might hate their penises. But plenty really don't. So you're not in a position to speak for every transwoman are you.

It's not the ones who hate their penises that I'm predominantly worried about, to be honest. It's the rest, particularly men who quite like the idea of (falsely) self-declaring as a woman to enjoy the opportunities thereby presented.
