Someone has started a thread.

I noted how he confirms he has male genitals but he can't understand why women are uncomfortable with him being in the male changing room. He believes he's a woman so that's final.

Except he hasn't grown up as a woman. Like most women, he hasn't been the victim of unwanted male behaviour because of his sex. I'm not talking of the obvious rape and other such serious crimes. I mean the low level male violence that women are subjected to on a daily basis - being stared at, lewd comments, cat calling, unwanted advances, a man sat behind my daughter on the bus last week and stroked her hair. When you grow up with this sort of behaviour happening on a regular basis, you are naturally wary of all men due to the number of men who show disrespectful behaviour.

It doesn't matter how many hormones a man takes, how much surgery he has, how he wears feminine clothing and so on, he will never understand the lived in experience women have of dealing with men and why we are wary of men such as him. It's not transphobic, it's a natural female instinct as we see men as a potential predator and we still see him as a man, regardless of what he feels like.

I think California is full on gender woo. The gym probably has no choice. Even if they provide a mixed sex or private changing rooms they can't force him to use them or deny him membership for this behaviour. They probably kicked Tish out to stop a lawsuit from him.

If anyone knows better, I'd love to be wrong.

This incident happened in May 2025 but really only was picked up 7 months later by Tish Hyman who reposted it.

The first post is of the woman discovering the male gym user masturbating in the changing room / toilet areas by seeing his shadow. She explains in the second link which is from January 2026 more about the incident.

It was in Planet Fitness and she was shocked by seeing that so left the changing room and went and talked to her boyfriend. Then she went back inside and the masturbater was still going so she FaceTimed her boyfriend to discuss what to do. She ended up going out to the front desk and the staff came back with her. They knocked on the door, the masturbating male gym user said he was a woman and that Planet Fitness allowed him to be in that space.

No one called the police. And there was no follow up.
