Describes him as “she” in the first section.

Then there’s a section on how the victim refused to call him “she” and quotes her impact statement using “he”.

Then later on use they/their:

As the defendant is biologically male, they will serve their sentence in a male prison.

Then there’s the ridiculousness of both the judge and the article talking about being a man or a woman at the time of the offence vs now.

Was there an editorial battle publishing that?

I just had a haircut from a guy I've been a client of for years - great bloke, brilliant hairdresser, and politically we see eye to eye. However conversation swung to trans issues and when I said I didn't agree that transwomen should be in women's jails, he point blank said this didn't happen. I promised him it did, but he simply didn't believe me. In the end we agreed to leave it, but I suggested he google and see what came up. I hope he did.

To summarise his changes in full which one of these has he gone too far on trans rights;
Stopping males being incarcerated in women's prisons
Stopping males in women's sports
Stopping sex change operations on minors (including puberty blockers and cross sex hormones)?
Which one of these has so pissed you off?

Googling his name brought up Lincolnshire Police's press release; same photo, same shameful omission and a Facebook post from a supporter of the people who caught him (an image may appear shortly). His 'deadname' seems to be Robert O'Farrell.

Which makes me wonder how official his identification as a woman was - enough for the court to use female pronouns but not the news sites. Have the rules about the media using people's identified pronouns been rescinded or are some media outlets rebelling?

Interesting that TeessideLive didn't mention the transgender aspect at all. Perhaps they thought it wasn't relevant/newsworthy, but they didn't buy into him being a woman either.
