This. We're all waiting. And will be waiting a while.
We will. And beg pardon: the polling company was Panelbase who, by the way, approved the question.
This Wings post, unsurprisingly, caused a lot of flak when it came our and there was endless discussion on Scottish political blogs - I read them but clearly some people didn't.
But nobody - except of course, Crisp - pretended it wasn't produced by a reputable polling company. In fact, IIRC, Panelbase had run background polling on a more neutrally - aka pro-self ID - framing of the question and got pretty much the same result.
So, like I say, I'm waiting for evidenced polling, from an equally reputable company, that demonstrates a majority of women are comfortable with penis-bearers in their private spaces and/or support amending the GRA to self-ID.
I'm pretty sure that I will be waiting for a long time because insofar as I am aware, there is no such polling. And especially no such polling that distinguishes between post-SRS transsexuals and cross dressers. And the reason there is no such polling is that the proponents of self-ID might possibly commission it but will never publish it - because there is no majority for it. And never has been.
