Where were the police in all this? I heard someone (Julie? Heather?) say they were already in there. Why weren’t they dealing with these people or if they couldn’t leave where they were asking for support?

I think I heard on the video that the organisers were blocked in downstairs, so took that to mean they were effectively being held prisoner by these piles of shit, or did I mishear? I know the bunch we saw kept oh so kindly telling the women they were free to leave, so weren't 'imprisoning' them but surely some offence of some sort was committed? But I also think that there is a serious conversation about safe spaces for cis-gendered women to be had. I disagree with her but she's a serious journalist and a serious feminist and the only way to work through this serious issue is by talking, not dicking about on the stairs like aggressive 8 year olds trying to bully their siblings.

For those who don't know, this footage was taken last night in Bristol as women tried to get into a meeting organised to discuss the Gender Recognition Act. The police were apparently outside in force but the activists had got in first. (A group called Sisters Uncut is probably mainly responsible. A lot of people are calling them Misters Uncut for obvious reasons.)
