What's DV done right supposed to look like?

This is part of Jane trying to argue why women don't need single sex spaces....own goal right there.

I know Jane Fae writes for the Guardian but does anyone else know who else uses them for media work? I'm sure it will do no good but I am going to complain to any outlets I can to request no further work is given to Jane on the basis of this particularly offensive tweet.

That tweet is really upsetting. It's actually made me tear up a bit, which doesn't often happen. I think it's hit me so hard because it's so casual.

This is clearly referring to women being murdered. How can this not be considered hate speech.

Someone earlier on another thread was saying how many TRA exhibited Cluster B personalities and this has all the markers of narcissistic rage - imagine hating women so much that even their murders are infuriating.

I went to twitter to read the whole thread in context.

Wish I hadn't. I'm not sure if I'm more perturbed by my initial impression of the casual dismissal of domestic violence, or the complete incoherence of Fae's attempt to link murder and toilets.

The whole thread isn't about how silly women will whinge over domestic violence. The point Fae seems to be getting to is more about how trivial women's concerns are over our places, our spaces, our privacy. "Pfffft, it's hardly murder, is it eh? Silly women". Then there's a completely inappropriate attempt at toilet humour at the end.

Truly, truly bizarre. Fae is a well known spokesperson on trans issues. Why are the people giving Fae a platform not more concerned about the obvious, glaring misogyny and the tone deaf treatment of women's concerns?

It’s horrendous that someone with such extreme woman-hating views is being invited on by mainstream respectable credible broadcasters to have a platform.

My mind is blown at all this, not just this tweet, but I see so many threatening posts on there, I can't believe they won't get deleted?

I'm new to Twitter so struggling to navigate a bit, but it does seem that any expression of concern by women re the GRA and men redefining the language we use to talk about our experiences is pretty much met with threats of violence.

How is 'kill terfs' fine bit refusing to agree that TIMs are women is 'actual violence'.

I think I peaked trans for about the 5th time.

Tbh I wish I'd put this in AIBU.

As an example of why you should sign the petition and why safe spaces are vital this is a corker.

Murder requires intention to kill or cause GBH. Otherwise everyone would play the "never meant to kill him/her" card.

you can not have transwomen are women, they must have delicate skulls and brains too.

if you argue that it is a womans fault for getting themselves murdered, then it is a trans womens fault for getting themselves murdered too, that is if they are the same as women. Is she really saying that poor person murdered this weekend is at fault for being too delicate?
