Lily Madigan Blocklist

SirVixofVixHall · 20/03/2018 18:34

So I am on this published blocklist. In good company with Julie Bindell et al, but still, I'm so angry. I've never tweeted Lily, so it is a mystery. I follow women's place and a lot of Rad fems, so it must be that? Anyone else on it? What should we do? I am totally shocked that this can be sanctioned by the party. That's my vote lost forever. Hell will freeze over before I vote Labour again.

I'm on that list.

I find it hilarious, as i only joined twitter about 2 weeks ago, and I haven't tweeted a single tweet, I've just followed a few people (28 at last count).

How does that work then?

Following known 'terfs' or even just liking a tweet seems to be enough.

KittyMcKitty · 20/03/2018 22:56

Probably need to take some screenshots of that 'schizo' claim before Lily deletes it and claims it was never there.

ThatEscalatedQuickly · 20/03/2018 23:00

Everyone's quick off the mark with the screenshots. I grabbed one myself as I posted it. I seem to recall from a previous thread here that Lily has form for tweeting things and then deleting and denying....

Theshittyendofthestick · 20/03/2018 23:01

If you're a person who likes to have sex, using your penis, with another person who has a vagina, I'm sure that makes you a straight man.

If you like wearing a frock and thinking about kittens and flowers at the same time, go right ahead. You're still a straight man.

If you think describing yourself as "schizo" is whimsical and amusing, then you are an enormous twat but, Lily, you're still a biological man.

www.gov.uk/data-protection
ico.org.uk/concerns/

"The Data Protection Act
The Data Protection Act controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government.
Everyone responsible for using data has to follow strict rules called ‘data protection principles’. They must make sure the information is:
used fairly and lawfully
used for limited, specifically stated purposes
used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive
accurate
kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary
handled according to people’s data protection rights
kept safe and secure
not transferred outside the European Economic Area without adequate protection
There is stronger legal protection for more sensitive information, such as:
ethnic background
political opinions
religious beliefs
health
sexual health
criminal records"
Lily Madigan has produced this presumably to show that these people are against trans genders or transphobes. I am on that list because I included Lily in a query I made to Jeremy Corbyn about Lilys attitude. The list can only have been produced with malicious intent and looks like it contravenes the Data Protection Act. I will be discussing this with the ICO tomorrow and would encourage you all to do the same.

For the Labour Party to allow this person to use Labour as their vehicle for narcissism is ridiculous.

Funnily enough, that doesn't seem to be only reason Labour are unelectable right now - the whole thing is mad. Momentum are just so worrying - and I speak as a left winger Confused

Maryz · 20/03/2018 23:09

schizo is just awful Hmm

though I'm sure LM will excuse it due to being autistic.

Double Hmm

OlennasWimple · 20/03/2018 23:09

That's a disgusting word to use Angry

Atthebottomofthesea · 20/03/2018 23:13

In reference to the DPA, when the new GDPR comes in in not that many weeks time this could land them in very very hot water.

SuburbanRhonda · 20/03/2018 23:14

schizo is just awful hmm

though I'm sure LM will excuse it due to being autistic.

Well it’s news to me that being autistic makes you disablist.

Lolabowla · 20/03/2018 23:29

It wouldn't surprise me if he was autistic. A lot of trans people are. Yes he's a pain in the arse. I feel sorry for him. I know most people on here don't. He's obviously got mental health problems. I think he's being used massively to promote the trans agenda. He's going to come crashing down at some point. I don't believe in trans. I believe everybody should have the freedom to have their own personality. I don't agree with the trans agenda but Madigan is a pawn in a bigger game and will be cast aside and abandoned soon enough. Left with his own mental health issues. I understand why people are pissed off with him though.

Maryz · 20/03/2018 23:37

Exactly, Rhonda. But it seems to be used as an excuse by many.

"Oops, I've been an offensive twat, but it's all ok 'cos I'm autistic, obvs".

Triple [hmm}

And yes, Lola, he/she/they (don't want to be deleted) might well be. In which case the Labour Party who are validating everything they say should be looking out for them.

MipMipMip · 20/03/2018 23:40

Would your views on this count as political opinion? Just looking at the special care elements you've listed for data protection.

Definitelyanamechange · 20/03/2018 23:46

Just seen the screenshot. This may be a daft question but is the PayPal link to donate to a cause or simply to fund Lily? Hmm

LifelongVaginaOwner · 20/03/2018 23:49

The link is to fund Lily. Obligatory TRA panhandling

ContemporaryPankhurst · 20/03/2018 23:52

I'm also on the list but I must say what fabulous company, I don't feel worthy.

yorkshireyummymummy · 20/03/2018 23:55

Oh my word! Im on it! I bet we will all be having MI5 files on us being started as we type! And I’m being totally serious there. No doubt we will be seen as dangerous as potential terror cells.......

Absolutely insane and surely a breech of some date protection act?? If anybody has any legal training or knows what to do regarding reporting this please post details. What a nasty piece of work he is. ( I’ll defiantly have a file for saying ‘he’!)

SirVixofVixHall · 20/03/2018 23:59

Ok, will contact the ICO tomorrow.
Agree at least we are in fabulous company.....Grin

Maryz, wow didn't realise how much mis gendering I typed. Sorry her/she/identity? I'm sick of this nonsense. I'm just going to call "them" (plural?) madigan. delete me for the truth if you will

SirVixofVixHall · 21/03/2018 00:01

Gacapa- V moving post.
Pp who said modern day Rick- absolutely, but without any of the charm.

MistressDeeCee · 21/03/2018 00:06

I feel as if all this kind of thing happens in a "vacuum" as in, not widely known at all. Is there no way of putting around how out of order Lily and crew are? Majority of people I know aren't even aware of self-ID issues etc, and now this data breach. Or is it a case of don't get in the firing line?

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 21/03/2018 00:06

I saw someone my son follows on Twitter was recently suspended because someone reported one of their tweets from years ago where they said something along the lines of “kill me now” about exams.
Surely using a derogatory term like the above about a genuine disability would mean they could be suspended?

From Twitter

Use of this term is literal violence to me.

BlackeyedSusan · 21/03/2018 00:06

If they are autistic they may be operating emotionally at 2/3 chronological age. Ie about 14. Someone should be looking out for them and supporting them and teaching them how to behave socially. It is also not an excuse to behave badly, though autistic meltdowns can be tricky.

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 21/03/2018 00:11

Also are representatives of the public allowed to ask for cash donations? At what level do they need to be declared?
