The term Orwellian is way overused, but I think it is actually applicable here.

Particularly noticeable to me was the insistence on not just looking at the the facts, but at what she was thinking. I didn't realise thought crime was a thing outside of dystopian fiction.

I feel sorry for Venice, it came across that Labour was very much part of who she was.

Having read and listened to both, well done both Jennifer and Venice for putting up with this Orwellian experience.

It's fascinating that these two women are accused of bringing the party into disrepute while colleagues in the Commons and House of Lords can invite Monro Bergdorf (the Toby Young of the trans world) and "Karen Jones" ( sexual predator who is on the sex offender's register for life) to advise the party and no one blinks or raises a protest (except feminists who have a particular dislike of racists and sex offenders).

The double standards are breathtaking and very serious. Why do Labour exhibit such a lack of judgement about their selection of role models? While it is evident that they are only interested in the views of "women with a penis" these days, surely they must be able to find some non racists and people not on the sex offenders register to advise them?

My god that was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve listened to. I’m not as intelligent as most of the people on this thread but even I can see how incredibly biased that interview was and full of verbal tripwires. I honestly would have gone to that meeting with a resignation speech that she could have furiously scribbled down. Jennifervits clear you really do love the Labour Party and I commend you for bothering to answer any of those questions with the care and consideration that you did.

How much did this cost to do this Jennifer? Same question to Venice. I am presuming that those interviewing you are doing it on a voluntary basis and are not being paid apart from expenses. There are many CLPs who need money to put up credible candidates for election, whether local, council or general election.

The asking about her mothers views on transgenderism is just bizarre.

There are no figures on how much the party spends on the compliance unit... the treasurer was asked this at conference last yr. We were told the data pertaining to this is not collected.
