I too have grown up in a family that is red from the cradle. My uncle withdrew his membership after Iraq for a few years, it's not an unthinking allegiance. I have had ambitions of standing at least for council. But I think I will have to resign my membership over this. I might speak to my MP first... I don't know where he stands. I differ with him on a few things but he's a principled man.

The double standard is just extraordinary. All this stuff about how offensive she has been, when the things that are regularly said to her are in a different league abusiveness but we don't see the men who have done that pulled in for questioning.

I am impressed with the dignity and courage with which Venice conducted herself during this interrogation. Well done to her.

It's concerning to see people punished for being rude online or having unpopular opinions, all in the name of political correctness.
