My favourite is when you ask a question and they say ‘EDUCATE YOURSELF IM NOT DOING YOUR WORK FOR YOU.’
As though that’s ever been a way to debate ever.

Gileswithachainsaw · 29/11/2017 16:49

He like everyone else has not answered the question about what a woman is. Too busy moaning about names.

If I identify as honest and trustworthy and ask him for his bank.details will he believe me?

(Disclaimer I wouldn't steal any money anyway but he wouldn't chance it )

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 29/11/2017 16:56

The pink news story..

A Times reporter interviewed anti-trans activists who claimed her presence is a “monstrous insult” to women.

Anyone who has issues with this whole thing is an 'anti-trans' activist? Really? Didn't the times interview transsexual women too?! They are also anti-trans, because they think an obvious male person is not a woman?

Pink news is a fucking joke anyway these days

And why are they still peddling this lie that Lily only applied after the times 'lied' about him applying? Its provable bollocks, yet parroted all over.

BigDeskBob · 29/11/2017 16:58

Ffs is Anna Lee still around?

The attitude of these people prove that they are not interested in a long term political career. They are showing no diplomacy and are not trying to keep as many people on side as possible. They just want to keep women out of politics.

LineysRunner · 29/11/2017 17:05

Bloody hell. Pink News is just a lads' mag now.

shivermytimbers · 29/11/2017 17:06

I just emailed Tris asking for him to explain the thinking behind the decision and how the Labour party is defining women. If you would care to do the same, his email (available on his Medway council website page) is [email protected]

badbadhusky · 29/11/2017 17:16

Placemarking

Datun · 29/11/2017 17:18

Him asking women to reveal their identity is like a armed rapist demanding you give him your mace.

Anonymity is the only protection women have.

What a cunt.

FattyCat · 29/11/2017 17:24

Datun

Exactly

Ah, a Clitoris Osborne thread. Excellent.

The good thing to come from this is that it is heartening to see so many women stepping up to it on Twitter.

CAAKE · 29/11/2017 17:30

^ should have said - anonymous or not, there are strong voices coming through 👊

Datun · 29/11/2017 17:45

FattyCat

What kills me is this. He knows it. He knows why he wants them to expose themselves. And we know why he wants it.

The question is whether he is so pig ignorant and steeped in male privilege to assume we don’t know it, or whether he is actually confident that he can demand it anyway. Because being trans is like having a fucking Teflon coating of unaccountability.

I think it’s the latter.

SelmaAndJubjub · 29/11/2017 18:02

I reckon Tulip Siddiq slipped him a tenner to take the heat Wink

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 29/11/2017 18:08

Labour are really showing their true colours regarding women; Lily, Tris and now Tulip (what an awful person she is) - and the latter IS a woman, the misogyny clearly runs deep! And I say this as a labour member (who is obviously seriously considering her membership)

Superlandlady · 29/11/2017 18:12

Being trans is like having a fucking Teflon coating of unaccountability.

This is the best sentence I have read on the subject.

To fucking true!

Twunk · 29/11/2017 18:21

Not a member of the Labour Party but have always voted for them. See myself as a natural supporter. But not now. In many ways I feel completely disenfranchised by this whole Idpol nonsense, but maybe it’s just that I’m finally seeing the misogyny whereas before I ignored it.

RedToothBrush · 29/11/2017 18:22

Remember this?

Well now we have this:
twitter.com/msjenniferjames/status/935924399651385344

Being misogynistic is ok. As long as it was six years ago, and this invalidates anything more recent.

Seemingly official Labour Policy. Exactly the same pattern as Jared O'Mara.

Placemarking because I am too angry to have anything constructive to say

MillicentFawcett · 29/11/2017 19:10

So Anne Ruzylo can lose her job because of tweets that state a biological fact but there is a statute of limitations on misogyny? And Lily Madigan has been proved to be a lying misogynist over and over again and still the handmaidens flutter?

Fuck this shit. I'm going full on terf. I've always tried to be supportive and understanding but I'm so, so angry about this. I'm no longer being polite and honouring pronouns. I don't care if I lose friends. I can't stand by and watch this any longer.

pisacake · 29/11/2017 19:30

Anne Ruzylo loses her job because transphobia is real and there are hundreds of transpeople killed in the UK ever year due to it.

Whereas misogyny is not real, #AdrieDidNothingWrong, and women should STFU.

Or is it the other way round? Who knows.

Transfact.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 29/11/2017 19:38

I just spoke to dh about all of this. He had, at one stage, drunk the kool aid but after I expressed my views rigorously is back with us now.

He said one of the problems is that many of those objecting to - for example - the gender neutral toilets on twitter is that they all seem to be @ukip etc.

ALittleBitOfButter · 29/11/2017 19:46

No the SWP is a Trotskyist group.
