I don’t think a trans man would want to be a woman’s officer, surely if they did they’d have stayed a woman.

Pisacake - nah, I think Lily is just a liar, liar, pants on fire Smile

I'd be tempted to stand for a women's officer post as an openly trans man (despite never doing anything to pursue GR, natch) See what the Labour party rules say Wink

Re: Lily and CllrTris

Yesterday I wrote to Teresa Murray the (female) Deputy Leader of the Labour Group on Medway council and vice chair of Rochester and Strood CLP. and today got a reply.

In a nutshell, she's perfectly happy to have a teenage boy as women's officer. She also said that the Labour Party accepts that men who self identify as women are eligible for a women's officer role. She's also happy for a boy to take a Jo Cox place.

So, we are back to, why did they bother to make special places for women in the first place, if men could take them?

She also said that anything Tris Tweets is his personal views and not those of the Rochester CLP.

However, AFAIK he hasn't tweeted anything that contradicts her and Labour's stance on men stealing women's posts.

What can we do now?

Labour have made it clear they do not support women, I will no longer support Labour.

I think we should all stand for the trans officer roles. They couldn’t stop us, we could just say we identify as non gendered.

Sentimentallentil wrote "I don’t think a trans man would want to be a woman’s officer, surely if they did they’d have stayed a woman."

But Lily doesn't want to be a women's officer, either; he's made it clear that he intends to fight for ONLY trans issues.

And a trans-man may just want to hold a political office. (Ditto the Jo Cox award.) Or have genuine sympathy with women, seeing as she was one for years.

Lily does want to be a woman’s officer, they want the validation of being a woman’s officer and they want it recognised that trans woman are women #nodebate.

Their definition of women and our definition of women is very different.

Report
Sentimentallentil · 30/11/2017 22:54

Do we have any solicitors about??

I’ve been thinking about definitions and surely to legislate about something you need to have a clear definition of what that means.
How could we push labour to come up with a clear definition of what a woman is?

Of course she’s happy, she’s obviously been sent off for ‘re-education’, Momentum style. Btw is it the real Frances Barber? Because if it is, I might have just become her biggest fan.

You know that letter signed by thos Jo Cox women in the Times?

Well, Jamethiel‏ @jamethiel just tweeted this:

"My question to these women is: would you be happy if every single future participant in this programme was a trans-identified male? If not, why not?"

Great question!

It's so disingenuous, they purport to be trans when it suits their agenda, then women when it suits another time. Like Anna Lee said to LM on twitter, "Us trans stick together" (or words to that effect). It's almost as if they realise there's something substantively different about themselves... Trans simply seems to mean having your cake and eating it.

Like how lily is a vulnerAble teenager who is being bullied one minute and a capable adult at the beginning of a promising career in politics the next.

Just to pop this here, a bit ot.

I was so confused by this on fb due to the ‘cis gendered female’ bit. I had to think it through. I don’t know if she’s insisted on that phrase? But I’m cross that in this instance, of all, they haven’t used woman.

So a woman has to use this nonsense language and a trans woman (boy?) insists on woman.

Cross with the guardian.

Does anyone else get the impression that Tris is getting a bit hard at the idea of facilitating the harrasment of women on line?

I cannot read that twitter feed without imagining him being like: "Tell me your real name Go on just tell me your name Com'Ooooon just let me realise the hounds Tell me, tell me, tellmetellmetellmeaaaarghnurgh..."

This all is the silent misogynists dream, to allow men to swing their cocks in female spaces with umpunity and still look like the "good guy". Well I'm glad it's putting lead in their pencil but unfortunatly it will see them lose the next election if they sacrifice the female vote for 1% of men's domination fetish.

Its creeping me out a bit how obsessed he seems to be with women 'outing' themselves. When anyone with half a brain knows that women who out themselves are subjected to abuse and even doxxing and the likes.

Yeah I mean what's the point the names could he fake anyway.

It's all just deflection and people are falling for it.

And he still hasn't answered the big questions asked.

He got himself stuck then went back to posting bolkocks and ignoring everyone
