What would you say if your dh went to a lap dancing club?

This is a hypothetical question but dh is away this weekend and I just have a sneaking suspicion that he may have done this, mainly because of which friends he has gone with, one of whom I know has used prostitutes on more than one occasion.

I am not suggesting for a minute that he would do this, or be unfaithful, or actually pay for a lap dance (he would feel too embarrassed!) but he would go along if other people were going to a club.

From a feminist point of view, what would you say? I need something suitably withering and fact based as I am feeling frazzled and stressed from looking after our 3 ds's all weekend whilst trying to get house ready for guests this week Confused Angry

I love to please my man yes and he loves to please me! He bought me a new iron, Hoover and washing machine the other day just because I'm such a great wifey! I was so overwhelmed I cried tears of happiness! I even let his mates come round and watch football and drink beer while I cooked them all a good old fashioned Sunday roast. They loved it! #myblissfullife

Minnieisthedevilmouse · 08/04/2014 17:05

Lilly, that was actually quite funny.

Bit wired. But rather funny.

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:10

What a lovely screen name you have anyfucker is that what your DH said when you asked him who he'd like as a wife?

AnyFucker · 08/04/2014 17:12

Wow ! How did you know ? Was it is your super duper female intuition ?

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:14

Thanks Minnie I think without a sense of humour life would be pretty dull! (As proved by SOME of the women on here!) lol

Thouneedsbedamned · 08/04/2014 17:14

Boring? Depends on your definition of interesting.

Perception is reality and all that innit.

Old? In dog years maybe. I'm 26.

Kittymalinky · 08/04/2014 17:15

I have/would tell him that every time he looks at one of the girls to think of his DD. Would he want men looking/thinking about her like that. If it's a no he shouldn't be there.

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:20

Yeah anyfucker some say I have a gift for understanding the female mind! I'm guessing you've had some negative male role models in your life that have made you feel the need to defend yourself against men. Don't worry they are not all like that and with some therapy I'm sure you will mend yourself my darling x big hugs x

Thouneedsbedamned · 08/04/2014 17:24

"'I'm guessing you've had some negative male role models in your life that have made you feel the need to defend yourself against men"

^ eh?

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:25

Ah thouneeds at 26 your still a baby! Bless you il leave you to your naive opinions as I know one day with a little life experience they will change. Sorry could you educate me on something..... What does innit mean? I do not use slang so didn't understand this word. Thanks love x

AnyFucker · 08/04/2014 17:29

Arguing with a Goady Fucker on FWR seems rather like undignified deja vu so I shall leave you to your lolling, Lilly Smile

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:31

Thanks anyfucker big loves peace out x

Thouneedsbedamned · 08/04/2014 17:36

Innit.

Translation:

^Isn’t it (often used in conversation when seeking confirmation or as a general filler):
it’s the easiest way, innit?
we all want to get highly paid jobs, innit?^

May I ask you a question Lilly? How have you come to the conclusion that I am naive? Because I am young?

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:46

No thouneeds not because you are young, as I said before I have a gift for understanding the female mind and I can just sense your quite naive. It's nothing to worry about Hun, it's a beautiful thing to be naive x

Thouneedsbedamned · 08/04/2014 17:49

Well I have been blessed with the ability to see stupidity and ignorance.

Guess which one I am sensing for you....hun?

CakeExpectations · 08/04/2014 17:54

Loving your use of alliteration AF. Sadly I feel the impact may be lost on the recipient.

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:55

Probably both babes, but again it's because your naive. One day you will think back to this chat and think... LillyRose was soooooooo right! Don't think seeing stupidity and ignorance is a blessing really though, that's just something most people can sense my love x

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 17:57

May god bless you cakeexpectations. Go pop a Victoria sponge in your mouth, go on..... You know you want to lol

CakeExpectations · 08/04/2014 17:58

Well done on achieving correct usage of your at last. Phew, giving me quite the rage, that was.

LillyRose28 · 08/04/2014 18:04

Sorry for making you Angry sweetheart it's the spell check it sometimes has a mind of its own like women lol dangerous if in the wrong hands! If that enrages you god help your DH/DP/DC when your having a period! You're a beautiful woman don't let anyone tell you different babe xx

wishinwaitinhopin · 08/04/2014 18:04

It really really really wouldn't bother me - and I'm an incredibly jealous person. But it's just something that men do! Like watch porn (neither of which bothers me). This is go to a strip place ... Prostitutes obviously would be a deal breaker and makes me feel physically sick. But go and see some women jiggle about in a thong? Knock yourself out mate. In fact, can you go tonight so I can have the TV to myself? Wink

Thouneedsbedamned · 08/04/2014 18:06

Ah yes, LillyRose. Female intuition and PA extraordinaire.

I will look you up next time I require the opinion of someone who has the intellectual capabilities of The Sun newspaper and the charming quick wit of a dishcloth.

Weliveinabeautifulworld · 08/04/2014 18:06

"You can look, just don't touch!".

If DH was with friends, I wouldn't want to stop him socialising.
