I think Dittany, or other vociferous posters on rape may be able to help me and wanted this to come to their attention

I am looking for info about the scenario where a rape victim continues to see, or even date/pursue their attacker, in an attempt to "normalise" or "cancel out" the trauma

I really hope someone gets what I mean, am in a terrible rush and prbably put this very badly, but I have seen this referred to before on MN

I found one. I am anxious a little as after what he did I lost all my confidence. I didn't like being looked at I don't think and I found it difficult to trust others I was working with. Hopefully doing a class will be good.

Oh chocolate I really feel for you. If it's an adult class then I'm sure others there will be nervous as well. Also, you won't know until you try - plus TBH if you are a teacher you already have these skills - the students look at you and you are the centre of attention when you are teaching and that is amazing - I couldn't do that in a million years!

Don't let this bastard carry on affecting you like this, book the class and stick two fingers up in your head at him and go and do it and love it

I've done it. Had another wee hurdle to get over as I am actually pregnant but the teacher said that was fine so hopefull I will get on ok.
