LG93 what does everyone have for lunch? Needs to be transportable to work although do have access to a microwave to heat things up
Firstly good luck on the plan. I've been on it a couple of weeks. For packed lunch at work, I take a flask of homemade free soup : vegetable/Tomato or Lentil and carrot. With this I have a small sandwich or thin bagel with a low fat cheese triangle and cucumber and maybe some free chicken breast. On days I've run out of soup I have a big mixed salad with a boiled egg and slice of turkey. Bagel or thin and triangle with it. Lunch generally 5 or 6 points..... getting boring now though...lol. it's much nicer Sunday when I have a diet sausage, rasher of bacon, poached egg, grilled mushrooms and tomato and small toast. 6 points also. Hearing some good lunch ideas would be great!

Hoosier... Our group was sparse this week too. Lots of people ill apparently. That flu thing has a lot to answer for. 😡

I hope there are a few more to bounce off next week.

Let's get back on the horse people!!!! 🐴

I had a Nando's for lunch today - only 11 points (there are no points in a couple of chips snaffled from someone else's plate, right??)

Paperdolly · 10/02/2018 02:23

Nando's is supposed to be the best place to eat out whilst on WW isn't it?

Did my shopping last night so going to have some very simple, quick stir fries for the next few days... the less thinking the better! I only really have to cook/plan for myself, which is a bonus I think - if I had to think about dinner for a family, I would fund it harder to plan

JessicaPeach · 11/02/2018 19:21

I haven’t posted since I joined the thread I don’t think. I’m 3 weeks in and have lost 12.5lbs so far. Finding it very very easy, almost too easy. Will be interested to see how I get on after the next few lbs. I started a stone heavier than I’ve ever been in my life and it was all extra fat, after this first stone is where the real work begins

Champagnecharleyismyname · 12/02/2018 18:41

0.5llb off tonight, god it's painful. Woman in front 2.5 off and the one behind 4.5. Not fair.

HoosierDaddy · 12/02/2018 19:36

I am going through a "I hate cooking" phase. Even though I don't do anything complicated anyway. I just want to live on chippy chips. I am a simple creature 😂

Paperdolly · 12/02/2018 20:23

I've succumbed to a chip shop fish and a tiny amount of chips tonight. 🙄. We're away so it's a different chippy. Very greasy and now regret it. 🤮. I had to dash back to the BnB for a hot cuppa to wash it down. And it's taken me over the daily points!!! 😡

That is so disappointing! Hate when chips aren't nice

Paperdolly · 15/02/2018 16:03

Stayed the same as last week. Not disappointed. I've now bought the Flexers recipe book but may be eating a lot of soup. 🙄

I'm one pound off the ten for the eight weeks challenge. Stayed the same this week, very, very lucky indeed.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 18/02/2018 15:32

I've started this weekend, I've had a good read through everything and k think I need to focus on meal prep or I will get bored

MamOfTwo · 18/02/2018 16:40

Virus from hell has ruined everything, bah. Going to try and get back on track this week.

vonny29 · 18/02/2018 21:25

Half off but having a 'black dog' couple of days so struggling ........9lbs so far ....

Paperdolly · 19/02/2018 20:10

I'm beginning to get the lurgy. 😳. You wouldn't think it with all this healthy eating eh? I've added lots of ginger and chilliest to my stir fry tonight!

Anyway, I got the WW mag this morning just to get some recipie inspiration and it has the same annoying feature as all their recipies (auto correct prefers recipient?). It gives the points per portion but not per ingredient so you've got to look up the points for each thing if you want to make a substitution.

I don't know why they don't give the number of points contributed to each ingredient.

MrsDustyBusty · 20/02/2018 13:31

Err, by each ingredient.

NinaMarieP · 20/02/2018 22:29

The app and website give points per ingredient but for me it's annoying that it's per whole recipe... so ingredient x4 for 3 people is...

But when you divide that it's not a whole number and if you'd put 1/4 of it into the calculator it'd come out at the (usually lower) whole number.

Does that make any sense???

Eg 1 slice of bread is 2 points but 2 slices is 5 points (bloody annoying when you've budgeted then put it into the app!)

So four slices for four people is 10. That adds up to extra points across a recipe. Plus if you add/edit the recipe and say it's for 2 people it doesn't amend the bloody amounts or individual points!!

NinaMarieP · 20/02/2018 22:30

X 4 for 4 people that should be...

Paperdolly · 21/02/2018 15:43

Well put Nina... 👍🏻

I dont like that either and most of the recipes in the books are fairly high in points, certainly higher than i'd usually want to allocate for a meal, particularly breakfasts and lunch.

Another thing that has been bothering me is that I have noticed in the fb groups things like 'I've grated cheese across all of these but because I made 24 portions its free' Well it isnt free if you are the one who ultimately eats all of what you made, even if it isnt in one sitting. Feels a bit like cheating to me, but im unsure if I have misunderstood.

MrsDustyBusty · 21/02/2018 16:44

Yeah, I think it's possible to use an amount so small that it can't be pointed, but I'm not sure that qualifies as free...

NinaMarieP · 21/02/2018 18:31

I think if you made 24 and genuinely only had 1-2 at any time it's probably ok.

Like in my example above if I have one slice of toast at breakfast it's 2 points, if I have another slice at lunch time it's 2 points.
It's only if I have two slices at one meal it's then 5 points.

So I can see the logic but if she's eating half a dozen of them at once then it should be pointed (but after all it's only herself she's cheating!)

Paperdolly · 23/02/2018 04:47

Yay!!! 3.5lbs off this week! After being stuck for a while.
