BanyanTree it is called Flex' but it I still still SmartPoints (just a much larger list of zero pointed foods now). I think they tend p to update the plan every couple of years.

Paperdolly · 01/02/2018 19:52

It's been said that if we do a lot of exercise we fool ourselves that we can eat more...then we get carried away and eat more calories than we lost. Then wonder why at weigh in why we haven't lost after all that exercise or have even put on! We say it's muscle weight but muscle is lean and it's a fallacy to say muscle weighs heavy. Am I right?

NinaMarieP · 02/02/2018 11:24

I think that's true if you were eyeballing your food intake but WW must be designed so that you CAN eat your fitpoints. Obviously the less posts you eat the more you'll lose though.

It's entirely possible to stay the same weight but have lost fat and gained muscle.

Seven days into Flex and I’ve eaten six eggs and had chicken for four of my dinners and two of my lunches. I would never eat that many eggs or have that much chicken normally. It’s very repetitive Sad I’m getting stuck for ideas all the time. I’ve logged on to my fitness pal today and will see how my day differs. Also had two migraines in the same week which is so unusual. Wonder is it the eggs ?! Drinking a ton of water so not dehydration. How’s everyone else getting on ?

HoosierDaddy · 02/02/2018 13:34

W/I last night, another lb off so 7.5 in Jan. Would love to have that every month!

MamOfTwo · 02/02/2018 14:25

Well done Hoosier and other 'Losers'! Thank you sez for taking the time to explain about FitPoints. I think I will just view them as an activity tool rather than points to eat. Especially as my Fitbit doubles up the points eg say I earn 5 points and 4 points for two short walks it gives me 18 for some reason? Helpful info to know I can adjust target manually as I have hit my total already (I do walk a lot). Weekend away coming up with lots of meals out. Must make healthy choices, must make healthy choices...!

greenbeansqueen · 03/02/2018 08:00

Dreams - the app has some great recipes, seems to me that you might need to do a bit more meal planning! It’s easy to use eggs and chicken as their zero but that’ll get dull!

Dreamslongforgotten75 · 03/02/2018 09:54

Yes greens, you are right! Had a major wobble the last few days but I just need to be a bit more inventive. My bloating was so much better doing flex so back on it today and going to meal plan for the week.

FitBitFanClub · 03/02/2018 19:00

Yay, I'm off my plateau! Lost 2lbs this week. Total: 34lbs since end of August.
Am pretty sure I just saw the outline of a rib on my chest!! Grin

vonny29 · 05/02/2018 09:13

7lb in 3 weeksSmile. But Hubbie made dinner with chicken thighs ( bone and skin free) instead of chicken breast last night and the point difference was scary!! Added 9 points to my meal!!

Champagnecharleyismyname · 05/02/2018 20:17

2lbs off today! Wahay after my 0.5lb gain in the first week.

Paperdolly · 06/02/2018 19:38

I've bought a second hand motorised treadmill to begin C25K running exercise. It's too cold and hilly here to get motivated to run outside!

I'm loving it! I've lost 5 1/2 lb before I got this machine and someone had noticed I'm losing weight but didn't know I was dieting. Let's see what the scale says tomorrow. 😳

Ooh, good luck, Paperdolly!

DD made me go out for my first run in 5 months last Friday. I need her to keep motivating me!

I'm coming to the end of week 3 - weigh in tomorrow. I only lost 3/4lb last week but had three social engagements so it was tough. I've been angelic this week so am hopeful!

Keep going, everyone!

MamOfTwo · 07/02/2018 12:51

1.5lb off which is a miracle indeed as had a weekend away. Half term next week so won't be able to go - really need to try and stay on track. Find it hard though when routine is off. Also need to browse recipe section later. Anyone got any go-to faves?

NinaMarieP · 07/02/2018 19:49

1.25 off this week, impressed seeing as I had lunch out twice plus a pizza at home the night before weigh in!

HoosierDaddy · 08/02/2018 08:01

I haven't tracked all week and

HoosierDaddy · 08/02/2018 08:04

Oops

.... and haven't stopped eating. Also had my period and I am just not following plan this week at all. W/I tonight, will definitely be up, but hoping for a big whoosh off next week.

LetItGoToRuin · 08/02/2018 11:16

Will someone please talk some sense into me?

This morning I weighed in (at home: online member) at the end of my third week on WW flex, and I’m disappointed only to have lost 1lb!

I know 1lb is a good, safe loss and I should be thrilled, but I’d had a really good week and really hoped it would be a little more.

I started with 1½st to lose:

• Week 1 I lost 4lb (no doubt mostly water, as always in the first week of dieting)
• Week 2 I lost ¾lb (which I was pleased with as I’d had three social engagements so was over my points)
• Week 3 I have been angelic, hardly used any weeklies, and I don’t think I overate on zero point foods – I have certainly felt hungry at times!

I know I’m moaning about nothing really as it’s a good loss, particularly as I don’t have a great deal to lose! I would appreciate being reassured that I’m on the right track and making a fuss about nothing 😊

NinaMarieP · 08/02/2018 16:05

A pound off is better than staying the same and way better than gaining!

I'm on week 3 and I lost 1.25lb even though I thought I'd been not so great what with lunches out.

I often find the week I though I was really good is the week I don't lose a lot!

Remember you are in this for the long haul - a pound a week adds up quite quickly and hopefully will stay off!

LG93 · 08/02/2018 19:52

I've just signed up and starting tomorrow (Friday was always weigh day) -what does everyone have for lunch? Needs to be transportable to work although do have access to a microwave to heat things up

LetItGoToRuin · 08/02/2018 20:08

Thanks, Nina - you're quite right, of course!

LG - for lunch I've been having either a salad including tuna, beetroot, carrots, cucumber, peppers, celery, cherry tomatoes, watercress, spinach, rocket and a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, or homemade lentil soup with crudités. Both zero points! Looking forward to other suggestions!

NinaMarieP · 08/02/2018 21:25

I've been having a sandwich (hovis best of both x 2 slices, 5 points, with with either tuna & sweetcorn/cucumber or egg and tomato, 0 points, and a little mayo, 1 point)
Crisps (squares are 3 points)
Fruit or fruit and yoghurt (0 points)

So 9 points in total - but I can only afford that because I am breastfeeding. If I wasn't that would be nearly half of my daily points. I've no idea what I'd do then.

Paperdolly · 09/02/2018 00:06

I put last week's 11/2 lb back on. 😒. I've only myself to blame as I didn't weigh everything and ate out a couple of times. Ooh and I got up at 3am one morning and scoffed 3/4 of a bar of salted caramel chocolate.

I need to give myself a talking to. Also up 1.5lbs, but totally deserved. I didn't track one bite of food.

I have often jacked it in by now. I think week 4/5 is when a lot of people do.... our group was tiny last night compared to a week ago.

We're half way through an 8 week challenge - not sure if it is a ww Ireland thing only, don't think I have seen it mentioned here - which is only reason I went in last night. Otherwise I'd have kidded myself that missing group will. Be. GRAND. I will pull it back next week....to never be seen again...

Back on it today. No point in half doing it and hoping for best while shivering in a fucking summer dress thinking light and floaty thoughts

I might need to login here a lot, keep me right! Happy to have the chats with anyone else in the same leaky boat.
