Have been watching this thread for a while but only just got round to posting. I'm in week 5, having had great losses so far - 13 lbs in 4 weeks.

BUT it's suddenly become difficult this week. I've allowed myself to be influenced by no movement on the scales and can feel some old habits creeping in. Add in a couple of days out for half term, and DH away (he usually cooks in the week) and I feel like I'm losing my grip a bit.

When I'm 100% on a roll I find it easy. Buts it's scary how quickly I can feel it turning. How do you stop yourself going down the wrong road?

Paperdolly · 24/02/2018 12:48

I'm putting a Monthly loss in BIG on my calendar and will keep looking at that. 😊

Have the snacks but always point them immediately!

Good tip, thank you. I have eaten things without pointing them twice this week so I'm going to stop that right now.
Have found this thread very helpful

smellycoat · 25/02/2018 22:30

I have lost 9lb on Flex since October, but I have got stuck! I am sticking to the system, I add extra fit points using fitbit steps, and I don't even eat them all! I get heaps of extra fitpoints as I have an active job with 15000 to 23000 steps a day. Maybe I have learned to eat free things too well, or maybe the fitbit is generous with the steps. Poo!

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 25/02/2018 22:35

My coach told me to only count extra activity not that you normally do. I go for Long walks with dog most days but don't count that as was already doing pre ww. I never eat fitpoints. How many are you earning @smellycoat?

smellycoat · 26/02/2018 10:55

Hell dontfuckinsaycheese!!!
For example, yesterday, which was the last day of the Weightwatcher week, I started the day with 23 dailies and 28 weeklies and 4 fit points from the day before.
I earned 20 Fitpoints yesterday from 23000 recorded steps.
I ate 43 points during the day and had 4 Fitpoints and 28 Weeklies left over at the end of the day.
If I did not eat my Fitpoints I would probably lose heaps of weight, including muscle mass. I don't do any extra exercise on top of my work exercise. Too tired and ready for telly flop.
I think you are supposed to be able to lose weight AND eat your Fitpoints, but the balance can't be quite right for me now.

smellycoat · 26/02/2018 16:01

I meant Hello DFSC. Sorry

smellycoat · 27/02/2018 10:33

Dear Paperdolly,
Don't give up just because it doesn't seem to work for a few weeks!
I am happy to report that after 3 weeks of eating all my Fit points, but NOT my weeklies, I lost a little bit of weight, so today I am officially no longer overweight.
I am still on Weight Watchers because I want to be a few pounds lighter as my waist is apparently still dangerously wide, and containing internal stomach fat which might cause diabetes.
Even then, I am told to keep watching my weight for at least a year, to reset my internal body clock to this new desirable me.
I came in from my work just now because I am hungry, and it is cold and horrid outside. I shall make some free point soup for lunch, but meanwhile a cup of green tea and a sandwich.

ItWentInMyEye · 27/02/2018 11:01

I joined a week ago after being a bit fed up of SW and I've lost 3lbs!

Paperdolly · 27/02/2018 12:45

Hi Smellycoat. I'm not sure where you get the idea I'm giving up from but thanks for the support. X

My leader was talking about using fitpoints last week and she was pretty clear that they aren't generally something you use until you're in maintenence.

Do you think it would help to play around with the fitpoints you use to see whether there's a tipping point?

TheDogsMother · 27/02/2018 15:15

Hello, can I join you all ?

I joined up late January so am 5 weeks in and 5 pounds down. I want to lose 11lb in total so I expected it to be quite slow (particularly at my age Grin). I am loving all the free foods but less happy that wine has quite so many points !

It's great to follow everyone's progress.

Paperdolly · 27/02/2018 19:28

Welcome TheDogsMother. Lose the wine and turn to gin. Check the points. 😊🥂

Paperdolly I see what you mean ! Wow I need to start liking gin Grin

Paperdolly · 03/03/2018 19:59

Just seen this and going on the gin to cheer me up from snowmageddon. ⛄️❄️☃️🙁

Hello

I'm a newbie to flex I joined online after 2 weeks of slimming world which I didn't enjoy.

I have done weight watchers before around 15 years ago and lost 90lb, but unfortunately led it and more back on.

I seem to be on track at the moment though, just have to get more active.

Paperdolly · 05/03/2018 18:57

Hello JanesTeddy. I had much the same experience as you. Let's go for it eh? 😊

JanesTeddy · 06/03/2018 15:34

@Paperdolly. Yes, I'm ready for a change I need to do something.

llamamac · 06/03/2018 19:12

Just saying hi - brand new to Flex and very much working to a deadline as I get married in May and only just fit into my dress 🙈 and it's not the most comfortable it could be. Have put on just over 1/2 stone (medication to blame) since it was ordered, so need to get rid of at least that but long term also hoping to lose a bit more.

llamamac · 06/03/2018 19:17

Don't know where 1/2 stone came from... that was meant to say just over a stone! Wishful thinking 🙄

Paperdolly · 07/03/2018 08:51

Llamac. We all have that wishful thinking. 😉

NinaMarieP · 07/03/2018 10:25

Yeah I keep accidentally updating my weight and typing 11 stone whatever... and my app goes 'are you sure????' And I have to correct it to 12 whatever. 😭 obviously it is smart enough to know I I haven't lost a stone in a week.

MamOfTwo · 07/03/2018 13:24

Keeping it real by admitting to a gain this week! Ho-hum, onwards!
