Thank you Paperdolly - and good luck on your journey!

I have found the app very useful, in particular the recipe builder. Give it a go if you haven't tried it.

I haven't actually bought any of the WW foods apart from one pot of mini meringues one week when I made little tarts. Find it best just to keep clear of snacky things altogether in the week (have Walkers French Fries at the weekend).

But as I say, I ate all the pies and then some this weekend so we shall see if loss continues! I will let you know if clawback works.

Paperdolly · 21/05/2018 22:45

I'm still snacking on WW treats n fruit!! How do I stop!!!! 😳🙁

Well that was surprising. WI today- lost 3 1/2 pounds!

On Sunday evening I was 14 weeklies overdrawn Blush

But clawed back all week with zero pointed breakfasts and low pointed lunch and dinner so earned my rollovers, which would have cleared the deficit if you could roll over more than 4.

Shows it works anyway, and really is flexible. One more pound to go until I've lost 3 stone. I can hardly believe it.

EddSimcox · 31/05/2018 12:21

Well done @lambbone !
I'm feeling pleased too. Lost 1.3kg even though I ate all my weeklies and fitpoints too. I've generally been quite crap - not counting all the wine I think for a start Blush - and even though it's slow in less than 2 months I've lost 6.9kg which I think is nearly a stone Smile

Paperdolly · 31/05/2018 16:02

Ha! Well done Lambone and Edd...

I went to a different place to weigh in as I was on holiday and had lost 1lb. I'm sure that was the stress of trying to find the venue. 😂

Hello, can I join?

I've just signed up to do WW online. I've got 5 stone to lose [gulp].

I've got 24 points a day, which is a lot less than I normally eat.

I keep seeing a lot of reference to "weeklies". Are these points in addition to your daily amount, or does it just refer to points you carry over/save for a splurge? Thanks

Paperdolly · 31/05/2018 18:24

Yes, of course you can Bookriden. Welcome. You can use your weeklies as you wish and either take from them or leave them. They're like a safety net if you mistakenly go over your dailies. They encourage you to look on them as a safety net and that all's not lost. Go girl! You can do this. 👍🏻

Bookridden · 31/05/2018 18:47

Thanks Paperdolly. So, they are renewed each week? That seems a bit generous. Are you not really supposed to use them except for emergency situations? Will you still lose if you do use weeklies plus dailies???

EddSimcox · 31/05/2018 18:57

Yes, you can use all your weeklies and still lose weight. But not all your fitpoints all the time (despite what I said above!)

Hippywannabe · 16/06/2018 13:17

Anyone still flexing. I have managed 15 1/2 lbs off in 3 weeks.
I do miss the old forums though!

Paperdolly · 16/06/2018 18:30

Yep. I'm here and losing slowly. 🙄

Just bit the bullet and signed up to ww yesterday. Struggling a bit on ideas for meals. I tried the banana and egg pancakes for breakfast this morning but they were a mashed up mess!

Got a stone to lose and currently feeling starving!!

Made myself some sugar free jelly for tonight

Paperdolly · 19/06/2018 18:14

Because I had the same experience with the pancakes o now make them in a waffle maker I bought in Lidl.

New Flexers over here please.

tictoc76 · 19/06/2018 19:09

Oh wow. Do they actually come out as good as it looks in that picture? I actually have a waffle maker somewhere at the back of a cupboard. Definetly going to dig it out tonight

tictoc76 · 19/06/2018 20:06

Did anyone else get tummy ache in the first few days? Am wondering if is due to extreme change in diet? Have been eating so much junk until the last two days and now it is all veg

Paperdolly · 20/06/2018 14:43

Tic tic yes they do! Just remember to spray the plates with oil and never wash with soapy water.

I think the conversion to veg instead of stodge would encourage stomach aches. Watch the wind! 😳😉

tictoc76 · 20/06/2018 16:09

Waffles turned out great this morning other than the kids eating half my breakfast. Have cut down on the veg today a little and upping the salad instead.

Anyone got some meals ideas?

Paperdolly · 21/06/2018 21:01

Tic toc. Look on the WW website?

Pleased you waffled successfully. 👍🏻

Hi all. Can I join you, please? I've just rejoined Weightwatchers, after a few years away and I'm still getting to know the new system. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the app -- it's very slick, but I'm unhappy they've scrapped the ability to track your water and 5 a day, which was a facility I really liked on the old app. And I'm not going to comment on the Connect social media thing that seems to have replaced the forum.

So far I quite like the look of the Flex system (although I'm still a bit baffled by how it works. They don't seem to have explained it at all). It's interesting that they seem to be aping Slimming World a bit, but with much more flexibility.

Paperdolly · 24/06/2018 22:58

Welcome Corvus... 😊

Hey guys another newbie here! I lost a lot of weight with ww 10 years ago and kept it off for a long time, but sadly the stresses of life caused me to take my eye off the ball over the last few years, so here I am back again.

I am trying to meal plan here before going shopping and finding it a bit tricky. I looked up rice noodles and potatoes for the points and it just gives me them for a 'small' portion etc, what actually is a small portion.

I guess it will take time to get used to it all again!

Lilmisskittykat · 28/06/2018 08:28

Still flexing here too...

Actually hit my goal last Saturday so pleased. Husband joined 8 weeks ago and has ready lost two stone he's a new man! Typical though, to be so much more dedicated than me

Having us both do it has made it so much easier

Those waffles look amazing ... I'll be trying those!

CorvusUmbranox · 28/06/2018 13:21

Warning: this gets a bit ranty.

Oh dear. Had a bit of a wobble a few days ago and very nearly cancelled my membership after working out the points for a 300 calorie carton of soup as 13 points! That. Is. Fricking. Ridiculous.

It’s clear Flex is not going to work for me as is; I joined WW over SW for a reason — I don’t like the way SW railroads you into a strictly low-fat WOE. I’m not convinced it’s either healthy (junk food aside) or necessary and it seems WW is going the same way.

The only thing that stopped me from cancelling and switching to MFP was the way the WW app deals with weekly points and makes it simple to vary your calorie intake from day to day. So I’m sticking with it for the moment, but I’m very much afraid I’ll be cheating on occasion. Having the full fat version of very rarely adds that many more calories, and I don’t want to eat skinless chicken and low fat yoghurt all the bloody time.

I can’t see this plan lasting all that long tbh. Anyway, apologies for the rant.

Are you guys pretty strict? I’d like to stick around and rant some more but understand if you want to keep this as a group for those who follow the plan closely.

Paperdolly · 29/06/2018 07:23

Private. I guess a small portion is about a tablespoonful.

OP posts:
Paperdolly · 29/06/2018 07:27

Corvus... I think you should be allowed a rant. We're listening.
👍🏻

My rant is that we've had a lot of changes of leaders since January. Many reasons. I'm not seeming to keep in the swing of it as it's distracting!
