Has anyone used smoked garlic in a recipe? Saw it, bought it, now have to use it. 😁

Wow Meridith! That's amazing. Well done!

1lb here. Same as last week. Right direction etc etc.

NinaMarieP · 23/03/2018 20:10

Watch out, seems like anything smoked is points/more points on WW...

I lost 3/4 of a pound this week which is a bit crap but it brought me to my one stone exactly, and I started two months ago exactly too!

misssmilla1 · 25/03/2018 02:56

Joining! Back on WW again but the change to the new system is much more in-line with how we eat at home.

I found it really hard with smart points so gave up on my last go in 2017, I'm way more hopeful this time round and I'm quietly optimistic after my first week of 2.5lbs down (granted 2 of those lbs was troughing a box of mini brownies the week before...)

Short term aim is 8-10lbs off by the end of May. Long term goal is 15-20lbs off by September

Paperdolly · 25/03/2018 19:25

Smoked garlic = nil points

Hi all, can I join too?

Been doing flex since the new year, 23lbs down but still another 3.5st to go to be within the healthy range for my height! I'm another one who did the old pro points-I lost 3st doing that. However it crept back on over the years, and added another 2st when I had my son in November.

The app is great-I would definitely be struggling without it!

NinaMarieP · 27/03/2018 11:03

Oh bugger I forgot to weigh myself this morning before I had my breakfast! If I haven't lost loads it will be the fault of that 30g of porridge with fat free yoghurt...

Paperdolly · 27/03/2018 21:17

Welcome TeamRocket. I'm a great fan of the app too!

Hello I’m back. I see I joined the thread on the first page but gave up rather quickly. Anyway I’m hopefully feeling back in the zone now. I bought one of those little sistema egg cookers and have had a delicious low points omlette for lunch for two days now! I need to lose just over a stone by end of June or I won’t fit into any of the summer clothes I bought last year. Fingers crossed and well done to everyone in here for doing so well.

petmyunicorn · 27/03/2018 21:36

Can I join in?

Started WW Flex at the new year (well, Dec 30) and hit 2 stone lost this past Saturday. I'm losing weight faster than I did ten years ago, which I find shocking as I thought being ten years closer to menopause would make it much more difficult!

Paperdolly · 28/03/2018 20:01

Hey pissedoffneighbour! Welcome back. Nice to see you getting back on the horse again.

Welcome patmyunicorn. Nice to have you aboard 😊

It's been a while since I've been on here but still plugging away at WW. I had 11 lbs to lose (not a huge number but I'm short so it shows). I've been slow but steady as life keeps getting in the way Wink

Anyway 8lbs down, 3 to go and I have to say I love the new Flex. I like beans, chickpeas and all that sort of stuff so am able to make quite a few zero point meals leaving more points for wine. When I have reached goal I am going to continue with the plan on weekdays and relax a bit at weekends.

Well done on all the fabulous efforts everyone.

TeamRocket · 29/03/2018 16:39

@TheDogsMother I agree, I'm loving stuff like chickpeas and lentils being zero points. IIRC on pro points they were actually quite a lot?

I've saved up all my weeklies for an Easter egg on Sunday, can't wait to have some proper chocolate Grin

SpaghettiDinner · 30/03/2018 19:15

Hurrah! I lost 2.5lb this week. Finally got to 1/2 stone after 4 weeks!

EddSimcox · 03/04/2018 21:35

Hello can I join? post Easter binge will end in a day or two and then I must must must do something about the 3 (?) stone I have to lose to not be so fat! I am a serial dieter but not done much for a few years now. I'd given up diets for good, but am now realising that if I don't do something my joints are going to give up the ghost, so here I am. I've done every diet before, but I think WW might be the most sustainable / likely to create good habits...?
I can't get to any meetings so I'll be joining online. The biggest issue for me is what to do when I'm throwing a meal together from leftovers ... Do you all find you have to use WW recipes in order to be able to track points??

EddSimcox · 03/04/2018 21:36

oh and, is there a type of 'smart' scales that syncs with the app these days?

TeamRocket · 04/04/2018 15:31

@EddSimcox I'd say I have about 50% WW recipes, it's certainly possible to do without. I usually make enough for dinner that me and DH can have it for lunch the next day, saves us wasting any food!

Balonder · 05/04/2018 09:32

Can I join? I am starting the flex programme today. It looks good though it means lots of preparation. I am on holidays this week so going to try to have planned for good breakfasts and lunches for next week when I'm back at work. Had a 2-egg omelette this morning with onion, pepper and mushroom. I counted 1 SP for oil so happy with that. Wouldn't have time for that on a work morning though. Going to make lentil soup for lunch with extra portions in freezer and chicken for dinner

PippaRose · 05/04/2018 13:15

Hi all

Have been back on ww since mid January after losing in July. Have had good results and am a stone away from goal but struggling with motivation (plus that last bit is the hardest right?!) now so am hoping joining this will help.

Does anyone do no count? Was wondering if changing things might help?

EddSimcox · 05/04/2018 16:09

What's no count?

PippaRose · 05/04/2018 19:26

It’s the other plan where you get a list of food that you don’t need to count the points of but finish eating when you feel full plus get weekly extras.

Think I would just eat too much though!

Paperdolly · 05/04/2018 20:19

I'm 1lb off my first 1stone loss. 12 weeks in. I hope I can do it this week.

Hi to all the newbies on here. Nice to have you aboard. 👍🏻

OP posts:
Balonder · 05/04/2018 21:54

Well done, Paperdolly! That's great. That's the sort of loss I am hoping for though I have a bit more to lose. A pound a week is brilliant - really sustainable and more likely to be off for good.
I had a good day. Had some almonds and strawberries just now as I had 4 SP left. Can I ask about fit points? I have a fitbit but not in UK so don't have access to the WW app. I was going to use my active minutes on fitbit to calculate points. Not necessarily going to use them though. Do you add to daily or weekly points?

EddSimcox · 06/04/2018 18:58

Well I've joined. I've eaten anything I wanted. Oh dear. Still first day tracking was always just going to be an experiment to find the tricky bits. Bread, butter, wine, cake... Grin ooops.

bluelampshades · 06/04/2018 19:46

hello, i am starting WW tomorrow and am a bit nervous. I know what to eat to be healthy and lose weight but I can't seem to do it by myself. I'm hoping a weekly weigh in will be the necessary accountability, plus i really hope the support from the leader and group helps.
i have just under 2 stones to lose, i can't seem to stop eating at the moment !

I've just started HRT which is helping me feel a bit better (very early days). I felt mega depressed by being in peri and all the awful symptoms and turned to food for comfort- which is what i always do.
