Is there one of these already? I started WW online the day after Boxing Day which was the best or the worst idea I've ever had. I can't decide.
I have a lot of weight to loose and am finding it hard to get motivated, i have been sticking to my points, so thought I would start a support thread!

Pinks - amazing well done. I am doing simple start day 2 today and actually feel good. I have a stone to lose and a wedding to go to at the end of July
I really hope that I can do it

pinkstinks · 15/05/2014 22:48

Thanks funny :) you absolutely can do it! There's a decent amount of time before the end if July.
Simple start is great although I found a few meals I loved I ate them to death and then was sick of them by the end of week two! New herbs and spices are my friend now! It's quite shocking how much food I would just push in my face before without realising...

SuperDuperJezebel · 17/05/2014 18:35

The best thing ever has happened to me this afternoon - I decided to get some short shorts, (to wear in the garden only!) and after weighing up whether to try on a 12 or a 14, I ended up fitting into (and buying) a size 10! Theyre from Next, which is always super roomy, but i'm going with it, esp as last april I was pushing a size 22. Cheers me up after a measly loss on monday!

HalleLouja · 20/05/2014 14:12

Well done Super. I have gone from a tight 12 to a 10. Not quite as far as you but it feels good.

HalleLouja · 20/05/2014 14:15

My boobs have shrunk tonnes so think I need to go and get a bra fitted. Only 3lbs to go. Fingers crossed I made a dent into it this week.

Funnyfishface · 20/05/2014 23:35

First weigh in today after a week on simple start and lost 3 pounds. 11 to go. Happy with that.

Not been hungry at all. Had one meal out but stuck to steak and salad.
Generally having porridge for breakfast, fruit throughout the day and steak /chicken and salad for dinner. Meringues and berries for dessert.

pinkstinks · 22/05/2014 20:02

Wow super that's Inspiring, and you Lou.
I am feeling really frustrated. I went to the gym four days this week and sweated so much!! I have lost 1lb ... 1lb!! Aaaaaargh. Not fair!
Anyway, not sure what happened there but oh well. I have now lost 1stone in 4weeks. And I got a sticker.

I lost 1lb this week but I had to change meetings from a morning one to an evening one and I always weigh so much more of an evening so I was pleased to not have not gained.

Had a cheeky Chinese tonight which probably wasn't the best choice!!

SuperDuperJezebel · 26/05/2014 12:19

Good work! I went to a morning weigh in today, lost 3.5lb so I'm v happy! 8lb to goal, need to get back on the exercise wagon.

ILoveWooly · 27/05/2014 21:31

Hi everyone, room for a little hahaha, if only one?

I re-joined WW last Friday topping the scales at a whopping 15st 6 and 3/4lbs! I am a hefty size 18 and things need to change. I would love to be a size 12 by Christmas so I guess I need to start somewhere.

flatmouse · 05/06/2014 11:56

Hello all! I started WW Jan 2013. By Jan 2014 I had lost 2 stone 11lbs (was aiming for 3 stone total). Since then i've "maintained"/lost motivation/got lazy/whatever, but have been up and down. Just back from a weeks hol and it's time to restart. I have 1 stone to loose to get to where i eventually want to be.
Being very strict pointing this week - so far not used any winelies, and have stored up a reasonable number of exercise points (which i don't use anyway). WI for me is a Monday.
For exercise i have dog walks, 30DS and am trying the 30day abs challenge on FB currently. (Also enjoy a hula every so often :) )
Quite enjoying the back to basics cooking and eating loads of fish!

pinkstinks · 06/06/2014 23:08

Hi flatmouse! Glad you are enjoying ww. I had weigh on yesterday and that's another 2lbs off making 20 in six weeks. Today I went to boxercise class and whilst I felt like I would faint, I definately wouldn't have wen able to complete the class six weeks ago so feel motivated :)

pinkstinks · 06/06/2014 23:09

Hi Ilovewooly, I was/am a size 18 too although weighed a lot more than you. I'm finding it is going well and not too hard to stick too. When is your first weigh in?

HalleLouja · 07/06/2014 07:18

I am now 1lb off target. So 9 stone 8lb at the moment.

Well done Superduper and everyone else.

SuperDuperJezebel · 07/06/2014 12:46

Wow, amazing work! I have exactly 7lb to go to goal now, I feel like I've had the raging nibbles this week so I'm not sure how weigh in is likely to go!

HalleLouja · 19/06/2014 09:53

[Waves at everyone]

Well yesterday I reached goal and lost an extra 1.5lb beyond it. Couldn't get weighed last week so had two weeks of loss added together.

[Twirls]

Am not sure if I am going to keep going. Might try and go monthly now.

Midori1999 · 19/06/2014 23:23

Can I join please? Reading about everyone's losses is very inspiring!

I joined WW last night as having lost 35lb at slimming world, I've been up and down a bit for the last couple of months or so and at weigh in last night was 6lb up, so have now only lost 29lb! I felt like I needed a change to get me motivated again and I feel very positive, so hopefully it will work. Although I have to admit, my SW leader was totally amazing and funny and I just didn't like the WW meeting as much, but maybe I'll get used to it.

Can I just check I'm doing things right with what I'm eating please? I'm doing Simple Start as I wasn't given details of how to do anything else! Today I've eaten:

Breakfast: bowl of puffed wheat with a banana and skimmed milk

Second breakfast: (I know!) 2 crumpets with poached eggs

Lunch: Turkey and mustard sandwich (no butter) on WW bread with gherkins, pickled onions, carrot sticks and radishes.

Dinner: gammon with boiled new potatoes and salad. Fat free dressing.

Snacks were carrot sticks and a bowl of puffed wheat with banana and skimmed milk. I've also had a milky coffee made with skimmed milk.

Is all that Ok? Does it matter that I haven't had the oil? Or extra treats? Is there anyway I can work out what points it would be if I was tracking points please?

SuperDuperJezebel · 21/06/2014 08:22

Looks fine to me. I don't think the oil is necessarily a big drama, tho from what I know your body needs healthy oils. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Treats, I would use them. It's meant to be a sustainable eating plan, bot a diet, and I think you can become disillusioned very quickly if you feel deprived. Evidence from what I've observed (14mo of WW, 108lb lost, lots if time on the forum) those who use their weeklies/2 treats have better losses and find it more sustainable in the long term.

Midori1999 · 21/06/2014 10:06

Thankyou. Wow! 108lbs is a fantastic loss! Well done!

I had the extra cheats yesterday, both cheese as I made pizza for dinner using the sandwich thins. I will definitely use them if I feel the need at all, but tbh, after cereals and breads being fairly limited for such a long time on SW, being able to have a bowl of puffed wheat feels like a treat.

SuperDuperJezebel · 23/06/2014 21:59

I lost 3lb this week - grand total of 111lb gone, only 3 to go til goal. Taking the next few days off tho so it could well be more by next week!

Midori1999 · 24/06/2014 09:43

That's fantastic Jezebel! I can imagine how amazing you must feel.

I've got my first weigh in tomorrow and I'm worried that I'm not going to be happy with my loss compared to SW, having stupidly stepped on the scales this morning...

SuperDuperJezebel · 24/06/2014 12:09

I am pretty much bouncing off the walls!

Good luck for tomorrow, my motto is sneaky peeks don't count, it's what the WW scales say. Your weight can vary so much even over the course of a day!

Midori1999 · 25/06/2014 19:47

I'm not suprised you are!

I'm feeling pants tbh, as my first weigh in has shown a loss of exactly zero. In fact the scales wavered between that and a half pound gain. I'm hoping it's just a glitch and next week will be better, but I'm really suprised at how upset I feel. I have stuck to plan totally, unless I'm doing something wrong and I didn't even eat any food at my DD's birthday party. Sad

SuperDuperJezebel · 25/06/2014 23:33

Oh dear, poor you, that must be disappointing. I would say definitely don't give up, I know of a few people on the forum who's body seemed to resist for a few weeks and then all of a sudden, massive drop! Are you comfortable with how your portion sizes are? I started WW by pointing, as it was pre simple start, and I was amazed by how small portion sizes of some things are - esp carbs! Also watch how much you drink in the lead up to weigh in. I usually don't have anything after 3ish (weigh in at 7) because I got told that 'a pint of water weighs a pound and a quarter'! I always do a wee beforehand too and wear light clothes!

I'd say just keep on keeping on, if you hadn't been doing WW you may have eaten loads at your DDs bday and gained weight this week?
