Restaurant sounds minging.

I like that cardigan, Aitch. Almost worth braving Tesco for!

Well, DH has finally pulled finger out (of bum?) and gone all decisive. He and some other escapees (63 to be precise) have commandeered coach fro Spain to Le Havre and then have ferry tickets. Back tuesday nght. I am so relieved not to have to thikn about this any more!

BudaisintheZONE · 18/04/2010 10:24

Morning all. Still stuck in Dublin obviously. Still in Zone.

I did have a mini cornetto last night but had been in zone all day and made a considered choice between a roast potato with my dinner or an ice cream later and I chose the ice cream. Dinner was oven baked lamb chops and roasted veg as cooked by my Dad. Was nice but I would have done more veg and not cooked them for the same length of time as the potatoes and chops!

Wish I had scales here as dying to weigh myself. Feeling much flatter of stomach though!

Sis and BIL and niece coming over for lunch later. We are having stuffed pork fillet, roast potatoes and various veg. And I bought a lemon roulade for dessert. And a chocolate fudge cake for the chocolate fiends. Have decided I will have one roast potato and a sliver of the roulade with lots of strawberries and blueberries.

I like that cardigan too Aitch. Looks very useful.

We are supposed to be flying back to Budapest tomorrow but am almost sure that won't happen so am heading into town to buy some exercise clothes and trainers so I can exercise.

pointydog · 18/04/2010 10:45

am disappointed at measly weight loss. ABout to go out for lunch at pizza express so only coffee and orange juice for brek.

What to get? A pizza with a hole in it?

JunoWatt · 18/04/2010 10:46

oh yes! i lost a pound this week
down to 10 7 on the BAD scales - so prob about 103

MamaG · 18/04/2010 10:47

get a salad pointy

re meal, go somehwere and get royally pissed and not care about the food

pointydog · 18/04/2010 10:49

I thought all the salad dressing would be a killer though.

Can someone not recommend a restaurant or have you all thrashed through this already?

JunoWatt · 18/04/2010 10:49

i went and had a salad - very light on dressing and a bit of chicken and croutons pd

JunoWatt · 18/04/2010 10:50

lol mamag re shoes - they are comfy though!

MamaG · 18/04/2010 10:52

yeah but the pink is a ibt too much isn't it

JackBauer · 18/04/2010 10:52

Don't pizza express have those mahoosive salad bars?
last time we went out for a big meal with friends we ended up at chicago rock cafe
mingingy food, lots of jugs fo drink and dancing to bon jovi between courses. not hugely stylish though. Anyway, I live in deepest darkest valley wales so chicago rock is height of sophistication.

JunoWatt · 18/04/2010 10:53

oh POINTY just take control
ORDEr what you want to eat.
say " i am on a diet i want a big salad with chicken and no dressing or a DUY dressing - bring me oil and lemon"

stop being a poof

ReshapeWhileDamp · 18/04/2010 11:00

I had a pizza with hole in it at Pizza Express a couple of days ago - was nice and TBH, it was all the pizza I wanted to eat. Realised that I feel over-stuffed when I have a normal-size one.

bobbiewickham · 18/04/2010 11:09

Tuna Nicoise salad at Pizza Express v good and filling, and the dressing comes in a little pot on the side.

They do sling breadsticks on it (baked things, like long dough balls) but they're not that great, tbh, so just ask them to leave them off.

I got into my "thin" jeans this morning! Bit of a dilemma. They're diesel, really comfy and make my arse look good.

But they're old and therefore bootcut. But I haven't worn them that much (as usually too fat).

Sling or keep? Or trim down to cutoffs?

JunoWatt · 18/04/2010 11:18

keep bobbie andjust update
can you post a waist down shot of oyu in them?
then we can restyle

bobbiewickham · 18/04/2010 11:32

A waist down shot?

Of me?

In jeans?

Have you lost your mind?

Just picture really nice vintage denim, tightish around arse and thighs, a bit overlong (used to wear em with heels) and flared/bootcut.

They're the most flattering jeans I've ever had. Could a dressmaker take them in?

noddyholder · 18/04/2010 11:46

I am going to have a no carb or v low carb week.2 rashers of bacon and 2 coffees so far today.Won't have lunch now too late with b'fast so chicken and veg for dinner.Thai sweet chilli sauce in tiny amounts makes everything edible! Also aldi do these crisp rice things chilli flavour and 70 calories a bag good with a drink!I am no lighter bit look better.Top tip don't buy any new clothes you will be far too ambitious because of the weight loss and buy stuff you aren't slim enough for bettr to wear all your ols stuff and look amazing in it.

AitchTwoZone · 18/04/2010 11:59

lol at 'not one of those lucky fuckers with high metab'.

yy bobbie get someone to take them in, not even as glam as a dressmaker, those wee ladies who do turn ups on jeans will manage fine. tenner, tops.

and the handkerchief element of the cardie is that it has a couple of darted panels at the back for slight swinginess. it's so thin you can spit peas through it, so vg for summer layering. and cotton with 4% elastane.

noddyholder · 18/04/2010 12:07

The Bath Arms in Crockerton is good food but not flashy enough maybe for a big party You can stay over aswell nice big rooms

bobbiewickham · 18/04/2010 12:08

Right, I'll take them along when I take my Dress of Death in.

I've got some Sevens that I've never worn that fit now too!

MamaG · 18/04/2010 12:35

whats the dress of death

dinkystinky · 18/04/2010 14:21

Hurrah for jeans fitting Bobbie - have to admit I live in bootcut jeans (best cut for my mutantly huge calves...)

MamaG- check out Bobbie's thread on Style & Beauty about her poseidon dress....

Reshape - glad your DH is finally on his way home.

Juno - can you post some more extracts from your bro's emails? They've been hilarious so far... Sorry meal place was crap. Any other viable options?

Went to kew gardens with kids and friends this morning -was glorious in the sunshine but v eerie that there were no planes overhead and no air traffic noise...
