Anyone else doing 30 day shred?

I heard lots about it and got the dvd. I'm on day 2 and can feel my muscles aching!
I'm trying to combine it with a diet too.

Is anyone else doing this/thinking of doing it?

Trumpton - was just mooching around on the net (actually was fb-ing, dd slept through for the first time last night, which is definitely something that needs announcing to THE WORLD) and thinking I really ought to get off my arse and shred. Popped on here and read your post - a proper kick up the bum to get shredding! 3 inches off your hips is amazing, as of course are all the other measurements. 5lb isn't to be sniffed at, either. Well done, and cheer-lead away

BattyKoda · 21/05/2010 08:57

Well done Trumpton - thats fantastic!! I was also in need of a kick up the bum, mind you fitting into some jeans that have been at the back of the cupboard for 2 years has given me a bit of a boost!!

I'm still a day behind, do you think I could do it twice, one after the other? Has anyone done that before?

justaminute · 21/05/2010 09:15

Well done trumpton - Amazing job!

trumpton · 21/05/2010 09:33

Batty Not sure that technique would stay as strong if done 2x thro but am planning to do level 1 followed by level 3 tomorrow and will report back. A better idea would be to do morning and evening. < shred Guru has spoken >
Trumpton bows to justaminute and blushes modestly "aw Shucks, Gee, ta"

LostGirl · 21/05/2010 09:45

Congartulations Trumpton, brilliant inch loss and 5lbs is pretty much the ideal amount of weight to lose in 4 weeks, it is likely to be all FAT, not the wonderful lean muscle you are building

BattyKoda · 21/05/2010 11:19

trumpton - said I would do that yesterday, but was shattered by the evening. As it happens I have been too busy sunbathing this morning to get even the first round done

Really need to get back into it.

notyummy · 21/05/2010 14:34

trumpton - that is AMAZING! Such a good, healthy way to do it. You are getting stronger and fitter and losing body fat, which is MUCH better then just dieting. Your body will now been burning even more calories as you build muscle.

V impressed!

GettinTrimmer · 21/05/2010 15:05

Just done Day 5 Level 1, took a day off yesterday.

Are we supposed to do it every day? I seem to be doing alternate days.

Jillian said at one point if you're on day 5 onwards there will be a difference in your endurance, and she's right. Found it easier.

I've lost weight with the 2010 weight loss thread, 20lbs, have 10lb to go till I am a healthy weight for my height, it's all round my middle. Would love to lose another couple of inches.

trumpton really well done, that is brilliant!

3Happy what day are you on now?

Skimummy · 21/05/2010 16:27

Fantastic results Trumpton!

Just the sort of inspiration I need after doing Day 12 - Level 2. I thought I might have made Level 2 worse in my mind after doing it yesterday morning...but no, was purple-faced, sweating and panting again today. I actually find the cardio in Level 2 really challenging. Hello, squat thrusts?! I do think my technique was much better today though. Good lord, how much worse can Level 3 be???!!!

trumpton · 21/05/2010 16:49

A LOT

Skimummy · 21/05/2010 16:54

Eek!

simmo39 · 21/05/2010 21:32

trumpton - inspiring!

I need to check if there is a DVD in our Hotel room for when we are on holiday next week. I want to continue doig it every day as am worried if I stop now I won't go back to it or have to drop back to level 1.

Am trying to check that my technique is correct but inmpossible to work out at the same time. Back still feels a bit dodgy, am plumped up again with pillows.

Tortoise · 21/05/2010 22:01

Day 17 (day 8,WO 2) done. Think i managed a bit better tonight. Still really struggle with the squat with arm raises. Even with lighter weights!

mummytotwins · 22/05/2010 00:27

Day 26 done, only 4 more days to go wooohooo, feels like the longest 30 days ever!!!!!

trumpton well done!!! thats fabulous!!!

Anyone else feel a little sorry for Anita, she does the lesser excersises and Jillian pays her so little attention and gives Natalie all her praise!! oh the things I think about whilst doing those stoopid bloody superman stretch things!!!!

trumpton · 22/05/2010 08:25

HOORAY for Mummytotwins,polishes
the "Thread of the Shred Achievement Trophy" ready for hand-over in 4 more days.
I am just going to do level 1 and then (poss) level 2 if 1 is easy now.

trumpton · 22/05/2010 09:17

Well level 1 was so hard I thought I was going to be "hard-core" Natalie but I am still a wimp. Did one circuit of level 1 ,two circuits of level 2 and one circuit of level 3. Not keen to be honest as I lost the flow. Will prob just do a level a day but a different one every day.

chocolatestar · 22/05/2010 11:24

Hello I am new to this thread, just started today on level one. My legs feel wobbly.

Are you meant to do it every day then?

I found the arm plus leg side strech thing the hardest bit.

trumpton · 22/05/2010 13:34

Hello Chocolatestar and welcome. I dont think it matters about every day but I am going on holiday and only had 40 days so did it every day. I think the important thing is not too miss a few days and give up !

indeed welcome twice

chocolatestar · 22/05/2010 18:12

Thank you for the double welcome!

Skimummy · 22/05/2010 18:22

Just checking in...have done Day 13 - Level 2. Dare I say, a very small amount easier than yesterday. I think only because I know what is coming. Still very exhausting...

Welcome Chocolatestar!

Squidmission · 22/05/2010 22:37

Woohoo for Trumpton!
Well done!

I'm still shredding but have been sooo busy that i've not had the time to log on and post here.

I'm on day 26. Everyone who I see now comment on my weight!

I've lost 7lbs so far but I know I've lost quite I few inches. I just wish I'd taken my measurements at the beginning.

Welcome to all the newcomers and well done to everyone else

Oh, and I've not been doing it every day. I'm doing it about 4-5 times a week. It still works

chocolatestar · 23/05/2010 06:48

I hurt everywhere!
