Anyone else doing 30 day shred?

I heard lots about it and got the dvd. I'm on day 2 and can feel my muscles aching!
I'm trying to combine it with a diet too.

Is anyone else doing this/thinking of doing it?

Day 28. I ran very short of time as had to be out early so - don't laugh at me - put the dvd on 2x speed and did all reps really really fast. Managed the whole thing including warm up and cool down in 15 mins--warning do not try this ladies! .I thought I might burst my heart at one point.

simmo39 · 19/05/2010 21:32

Ha! Ha! Trunpton that has made me laugh It reminds me of a Benny Hill sketch when he runs around really fast! Maybe you burnt twice as many calories

trumpton · 19/05/2010 21:44

Now to be known as the 15 day ( very fast) shred.

Tortoise · 19/05/2010 22:29

Day 15 (day 6 workout 2.)
Does this workout ever get any easier?
I am so hot and sweaty!

Trumpton How did you manage it 2x speed? I would die!

trumpton · 19/05/2010 22:31

It was really horrid. But it was either that or miss it and I was determined not to miss a day. Will try to do it properly tomorrow.

mummytotwins · 19/05/2010 23:48

trumpton all I can say is wow!!!!

Day 24 done here, very hot and sweaty but mixing between Anita and Natalie so pleased with that.

Upped my water intake to 1.5l too so hoping this will help shred some weight!

This thread is really motivational!!!!

Skimummy · 20/05/2010 08:04

Day 11, first day of Level 2. Cannot believe how much harder it was...I was a shaking sweaty mess by the end!! Some crazy exercises...

trumpton · 20/05/2010 08:34

Day 29....done shred at more sedate speed this morning. Still having trouble with travelling press ups but have a weak wrist ( poor excuse) Flags up for tomorrow please as it will be day 30 without taking a day off. I am so amazed that I have stuck to it as am famed for giving up .

LostGirl · 20/05/2010 08:41

trumpton, try doing push ups on your fists rather than the flat of your hand, I've found this stops my wrists from hurting. lol at you doing it at 2x speed, if I didn't have enough time to do the whole things then I think I would have just forwarded through the harder exercises and missed them out, you are far more dedicated

BattyKoda · 20/05/2010 10:45

Missed a day yesterday, day 8 level 1 done this morning. Will do again tonight to make up.

Really feel like I'm loosing my mojo though, I'm beginning to hate Jillian . Don't know whats gone wrong, I had started to enjoy it. DP has said he is noticing a difference, I think he's just being suppotive though. I'm going to weigh again on Saturday, before I start level 2.

thrumton - seriously impressed!

well just done day2 level 1 and am still aching from yesterday.
Will hopefully run tonight as well

All i could of was how the hell did Trumpton do it at twice the speed

Skimummy · 20/05/2010 11:15

Good work Trumpton! Like the idea of doing it double time although think I would probably pull something.

Did I mention Level 2 was also quite challenging for my pelvic floor muscles...awesome...

3Happy · 20/05/2010 12:18

Trumpton - wow double speed!! That's impressive!

Skimummy - tell me about it. I did the workout yesterday and forgot to go to the loo beforehand. I won't be forgetting in future

Battykoda - sorry to hear that you're feeling flat - but hang in there, maybe it's just the repetitiveness of it and if you hang on to the next level it'll stimulate you again?

Day 7 level 1 here. Glad I did it this morning as it's getting seriously hot today!! Half looking forward to level 2 just for some variety, half scared!!

vintage · 20/05/2010 18:09

Went to the dietician yesteray i have lost 15 lbs in the last 6 weeks bringing my total weight loss so far up to 3 stones 3bs since january 12th . I posted this on another thread but no one cares (sob)

3Happy · 20/05/2010 18:12

3st3lb?! Blimey, vintage, I'm sure they're just too jealous to post!!! That's fantastic. What else have you been doing apart from shredding?

BattyKoda · 20/05/2010 18:45

vintage - that's inspiring! Bloody well done!

vintage · 20/05/2010 19:11

trumpton · 20/05/2010 19:15

Hooray for Vintage

LostGirl · 20/05/2010 19:43

That's fantastic vintage, truly inspiring

Tortoise · 20/05/2010 20:37

Well done Vintage. Fab weight loss.

Tortoise · 20/05/2010 22:32

day 16 (day 7 WO 2)
So, on Monday i should be moving onto WO 3. Be nice to have a change of excercises but i am still finding WO 2 pretty hard especially plank jacks and the jumping in plank one. I managed 3 jumps today before going back to easy move!

theQuibbler · 20/05/2010 22:46

That's brilliant, vintage, well done!

I really didn't want Shred today - and I was a bit half-assed about it . Also didn't do any other exercise which is Not Good as need to do much more than 20 mins a day to keep weight loss on track. Still. It is done, and is better than nothing. And tomorrow is another day, right?

trumpton · 20/05/2010 22:50

You might want to stay a while longer on level 2 as level 3 is vair vair jumpy. It's got mountain climbs and jumping lunges . Or try level 3 but there is no shame in taking your time and building up stamina.
It's my day 30 tomorrow and I am sure I read in the small print that I need never exercise again ever!

trumpton · 21/05/2010 08:47

TAHDAH! Day 30 done. I am sitting here with sweat trickling down my face and a huge smile as well. 1 week til we go away and measurments are
Upper arm -lost 1/2 inch
Bust - lost 1 inch
waist - lost 2 inches
Hips - lost 3 inches
Thigh - lost 1 inch
Weight loss not as much as I thought /wanted but still a respectable 5lb over the month.

Definately a size down in clothes !!
Will be doing this until I go away and am cheering on the rest of you......YOU GO GIRLS !!
