I heard lots about it and got the dvd. I'm on day 2 and can feel my muscles aching!
I'm trying to combine it with a diet too.

Is anyone else doing this/thinking of doing it?

OP posts:
Nolda · 12/05/2010 11:40

Just finished day 10 level 1. I'm going to try level 2 tomorrow. I'm probably not ready for it but I'm bored now with level 1 so I'll give it a go.

BattyKoda Re weights: tins of beans/tomatoes are better than nothing.

justaminute · 12/05/2010 11:48

trumpton I'm a fellow frog on Level 3.

Holiday in 18 days for me

Piffle · 12/05/2010 14:13

trumpton do tell of success? what has happened to your body since you started
Am on ipod so scrolling to find what you've posted is tedious

wideratthehips · 12/05/2010 14:43

i too am a lurker on this thread and have been inspired to get the dvd!

i really do think its working though...heart rate is up, sweaty and my thighs ache the next day

i'm going for the loss of inches rather than weighing myself and my clothes are definately looser!

jillian does make me giggle through it though...she reminds me of sara conner from terminator and i love it when she says 'HIT IT!'

shes a bit like an old school army physical trainer and the stuff is quite like the phys the do in the military

MiaWallace · 12/05/2010 15:04

Just completed day 5 level 1. I'm now doing alternative days of 30 ds and spinning.

Dp bought me a heart rate monitor and I wore it for the first time today. According to the monitor I burnt 273 calories doing level 1. I think that's pretty good considering it's only 20 minutes long.

I have now been dieting and exercising for a week. I weighed this morning and I've lost 4lb.

I've got 5 weeks till I get married so I need to stick with it.

Skimummy · 12/05/2010 15:20

4lb in a week is excellent MiaWallace!

I did day 8 level 1 this morning. I think I am looking forward to level 2 now but level 1 still gives a good workout. My upper body is so weak though...I start out on full push ups but end up on my knees! And I am sticking with my 1kg weights for now!

I am feeling very "well" but wonder if it is more to do with being consistent with exercise than anything else. I am seeing my in-laws for the first time in months this weekend so will see if they say anything...and be devastated when they don't .

trumpton · 12/05/2010 17:04

For piffle ...

Did not measure myself before I started but wish I had....However measured my self after a week and again a week after and in that week lost 1/2 inch top of arms, nowt off bust 1 inch from waist, 1inch from hips and 1/2 inch from each thigh.
My diary that I am keeping every day reads like this...
Day 1 level 1 Hard but do-able 2kg weights
Day 2 Pecs a bit sore but managed
Day 3 Hurts to cough .pecs better
Day 4 VERY hard gosh!
Day 5 Really hard to keep up .Feel good.
Day 6 Did harder version
Day 7 Full strength workout
Day 8 Level 2 Easy version 1.5 kg weights (new weights arrived)
Day 9 working harder. Ow Plank jacks !!
Day 10 Really really did not want to do V.pleased.V sweaty.
Day 11 mostly 2.5kg weights Hate v lifts
Day 12 2.5 kg weights sore shoulders next day.
Day 13 Plank jacks and plank jumps hard.
Day 14 Thinking about moving up to level 3 Using dumbells as handles for plank jacks.
Day 15 Still need lighter weights for V lifts
Day 16 Started Antibios for UTI.Feel rough but wearing last years trousers.
Day 17 def change in shape Measured my self ( see above)
Day 18 Still find V lifts hard Cardio MUCH easier
Day 19 Level 3 V hard. Followed Anita. Jumps are horrid feel like a frog.
Day 20 Clothes are so much looser. Rock starjumps are just plain wrong wrong wrong
TODAY Level 3 def getting easier. will do a week at this level then try level 1 and 3 back to back

Just when you cant do anymore suddenly you have reached circuit 3 and the end is in sight. Good luck

So in summing up...body much more toned, arms feel better and belly flatter. Another bonus I have found is that by doing the shred every day my food control is better. Good luck fellow shredders.

justaminute higher jumps tomorrow.

CatJosephine · 12/05/2010 19:42

Hi all, off to do day 6 of Level 1. How much harder is Level 2?

BattyKoda · 12/05/2010 20:05

Ok... Is it best to do it in the morning or shall I get cracking tonight? I have had my dinner though (all be it a crumby ww ready meal ).

I have two tins of [Waitrose ] tomatoes at the ready...

trumpton · 12/05/2010 20:36

Now BattyKoda Now! or have you already done it? Beware of doing it if you have eaten a good size meal cos I found Moussaka and shred do not mix. I like to get the shred done in the morning. But each to her own ! Report back and you will find lots of support. ( did you send your wedding shoes back for bigger ones ? )

Piffle · 12/05/2010 20:46

Wow thanks trumpton
I'm on day 3 I hear ye on the cough pain and also quads walking downstairs
but it's feeling easier
are you all dieting too?

simmo39 · 12/05/2010 21:01

Day 6 done, wow I really ache tonight and my legs are killing me. Neck aches too. However I am sure it is all going to be worth it, and am quite enjoying it. Finding 20 mins manageable. Not sweating as much, is that a good thing?
Just cannot seem to do the weights on the side lunges. Find that and the pushing my 'toosh' back just too difficult to do both together.
Piffle - yes am dieting too, you?
Battykoda - have you done it yet?

CatJosephine · 12/05/2010 21:24

Dieting too. I attend a Slimming World group but don't do the whole red day/ green day as it confuses me.

I shred in the evening. I can't face the idea of getting up half an hour earlier.

Day 6 level 1 done. I tried heavier weights for a bit but it was way too hard.

Tortoise · 12/05/2010 21:43

Going to attempt workout 2 tonight. Just need to move toys so that i have some floor space!

BattyKoda · 12/05/2010 21:58

Longest 20 minutes of my life.... felt like it would never end! Am pleased my abs are killing though - it's like feeling it work!

Must admit I'd convinced myself that I would do it in the morning, came on and saw you asking if I'd done it and it spurred me on to do it tonight, so thanks!

Will really try to do it in the morning as well, want to get it into my routine and morning seems to be the best time, although I know I'm gonna hurt when I wake! Then will hopefully get out for a jog every other night.

BattyKoda · 12/05/2010 22:00

Anyone also dieting... This website is fantastic!

fustyarse · 12/05/2010 22:05

ooh, batty - was wondering when you'd show up!

(felt all frank spencer-ish there!)

well done for starting - now just keep going!

It works, truly - and is totally addicting. You will see changes within the week and that's what will keep you going.

BattyKoda · 12/05/2010 22:10

Fusty, DVD finally arrived! I feel sick now, and my legs are like jelly . Will be amazing to see results in a week, please keep nagging me to do it everyday!

thrumpton Am waiting to hear back from the company about waivering the shipping fees because of the mix up with the sizing chart... fingers crossed! Although, perhaps if I keep on shredding I may loose some weight off my feet and they will fit anyway?!

Tortoise · 12/05/2010 22:28

Day 10. Day 1 of workout 2. HELP! I am dying! Sweating like a pig! Feel like i have worked out more than i was on the last couple of days of workout 1 so will keep up with workout 2 now. Had to do easy versions of most of it! Still don't feel it in abs. Legs and arms are shaky though.

mummytotwins · 13/05/2010 00:38

Day 17 (day 7 level 2) done!!!

Im still a sweaty betty when I finish but it feels like it is getting a little easier just want to get to 30 days now, have never been so commited lol!

Joby1970 · 13/05/2010 07:59

Trumpton - your post for each day could have been written by me lol! I felt exactly the same on each day - tho I don't think you mention the aches enough on the first 3 days .

A friend of mine is so into the Shred & another of Jillian's DVDs (No more trouble zones) that she's taken them over to America with her to do there whilst she's in the country for 3 weeks - addicted lol.

Think the Shred is making me vain tho as I keep flexing my muscles in the mirror

trumpton · 13/05/2010 08:26

Ah that's because I did not get any aches ! apart from slightly sore pecs and I put that down to using donut (!) shape weights that should have been on a bar and weighed 2kg each .But I now have posh weights all of my very own ( might not take them on holiday tho).
This thread is brilliant level 3 and day 22 today off for shower now.

BattyKoda · 13/05/2010 10:01

Done again this morning - is it normal so feel really sick afterwards?!

Also weighed myself - 9s7lb so lost 1lb in a month . Am being very strict now though! Really want to get below 9stone!

Skimummy · 13/05/2010 10:41

Day 9 on Level 1 this morning - one more day and onto Level 2. Am a bit scared! Think the next few days are going to be a bit hit and miss though so next week will be the proper Level 2 start.

So pleased I found this thread and ordered the DVD, it is the perfect workout for me. Short and not at all boring thanks to the 3-2-1 system. Might have to look into the No More Trouble Zones one...

P.S BattyKoda I am a big fan on Food Focus, it has helped my eating habits alot!

BattyKoda · 13/05/2010 10:48

Skimummy - does it get easier?! Are you noticing a difference yet?

Food Focus is fantastic, isn't it! Someone on another thread gave me the link. Really makes me think about what I'm eating as I have to log it. Only went 4 calories over yesterday
