I heard lots about it and got the dvd. I'm on day 2 and can feel my muscles aching!
I'm trying to combine it with a diet too.

Is anyone else doing this/thinking of doing it?

Having pie and chips for tea (feeling lazy!) so am thinking about doing workout 1 later! Wii fit says i have lost 6lbs but i haven't been on there for a few months! Just did a quick body test cos kids were playing on it.

trumpton · 02/05/2010 17:43

Put weights up to 2.5 kg for most of level 2 today. Cor it's still hard. I am so motivated by this thread ( and my notebook ) .Pink and sweaty again. Dinner in oven , lots of roast veg and spinach.Might have to go easy on the sour cream and rhubarb cake I made tho'.
4 weeks til we go on holiday.

GoldenSnitch · 02/05/2010 20:10

Starting again on Tuesday. Had a bit of a down week but feeling better now and have my energy back.

Fitting back into my pre-pregnancy jeans for the first time today probably helped too

Was a real morale booster

Tortoise · 02/05/2010 22:08

Well, that is me knackered! Just did workout 1. Am impressed with myself doing it twice in one day. Even went upto 2.3kg weights.

mummytotwins · 02/05/2010 23:33

Day 7 of level 1 done, am a bit less puffy when Im done now but am nervous about moving onto level 2!!!!

twinkle183 · 03/05/2010 08:57

Had a day off yesterday as the worst cold in the world set in however went to bed at 8:30pm and feel amazing this morning!!! Consuming lots of fluids to flush what is left of it...

So hopefully will be able to manage it later... feel really bad I didn't do it yesterday but will be back on it with a veneage later...!!

mummytotwins L2 isn't too bad but be prepared for lots of plank position...! Anita is great so watch her for the easier alternatives until your comfortable! I still do the easier moves... low impact for my back but still gets your heart rate pumping your be fine (holding your hand)

MrsMorgan · 03/05/2010 10:31

Thanx guys, I am going to try level 2 later tonight

twinkle183 · 03/05/2010 10:45

Good luck mrsmorgan but your be fine...just remember if it hurts then it works...

Squidmission · 03/05/2010 11:03

Hello to all the newcomers

Its really good to hear all the achievements! Back into jeans, weight loss etc. Its brilliant.

i've just done day 5 of level 2. It is harder than level 1 but the idea is to get results so I guess it has to be. It definitely gets easier as you do it more.

I had a day off yesterday. I went to see family and ate loads including kettle chips and cheesecake! ooops. It doesn't happen too often so I'm not too worried.
I just want to make sure that the next time I see everyone, I'll hear lots of 'Wow! you've lost so much weight!'

Just completed day two of level one this time with bigger weights. My arms were aching when I woke up this morning which must be due to trying to lift my hefty weight in the push ups!

Prior to this I've been doing Davina Fit which are 30 min workouts. When I finished today, looking totally wrecked, DD piped up "just a short work out today, Mummy?"

omydarlin · 03/05/2010 14:57

cant remember if im on day 4 or 5 but ive just done level 1 3rd day in row so v proud of myself - still cant do press ups though!

notyummy · 03/05/2010 18:19

Level 3 with 3 kg weights done. It was hard. I have dodgy lower back and struggled with the rock star back as the really high impact stuff twinges my sciatic nerve . Annoying because I had to do the low impact version of that exercise. Also did 15 mins on the cross trainer afterwards.

Tortoise · 03/05/2010 21:21

My Brother just said that it must be nearly time for you to do the DVD again lol!
He is right, i should get on with it and i will in a minute!

Tortoise · 03/05/2010 22:07

Day 5 workout 1 completed! It did feel a little easier tonight. I managed all the first lot of press ups and then all the squat raises without stopping the raise arms bit but by the time i had done those i couldn't do many of the 2nd round of press ups!
Really feeling it in my arms and legs tonight.

mummytotwins · 03/05/2010 23:16

Day 8 Level 1 done!! went to my ww weigh in today and have lost 3lbs this week too, I have stuck to my points (maybe went a little over) but I think doing this has really helped, DH measured me last night and I have lost an inch of my hips and an inch off each thigh, I will be slim and toned this summer!!!!!

fustyarse · 04/05/2010 08:15

hello all!

ok, have taken the plunge and am joining you, if that's ok? Did day 1 yesterday.

I am seriously aching today, like it hurts to walk! Don't know if I should attempt it again today or if I'll do myself more damage. I've taken 2 ibuprofen already and they've helped a bit. I'm not mega unfit, btw, I do go to the gym but tend to run there...

Should I give my body a day to recover or would you just push through?

Congratulations to everyone who's sticking to it and seeing improvements! It's very motivational!

Joby1970 · 04/05/2010 08:41

Welcome everyone - I see we have lots of new conversions to cour cult lol.

Fustyarse: everyone has that pain after the first workout - Personally I just carried on without a day off but it's up to you. What you could do is try doing the first few exercises if your muscles do not ease a bit then stop for that day. But do try.

Well done everyone elso on weight losses BUT MOST OF ALL inch losses. AS far as I'm concerned scales mean nothing & tape measure is king lol.

I've been spinning 3 times over the weekend - but have visitors this week so think will be difficult to get to the gym.. & thats where Jillian should fit in nicely.

justaminute · 04/05/2010 09:41

Joby - I know what you say makes sense - the tape measure should be king but it is so frustrating not to see pounds disappearing, I feel so heavy.

I have lost one inch off my hips and half an inch off my waist in 3 weeks so i should be happy but I feel so at those losing pounds.

PurpleFrog · 04/05/2010 10:11

Well, after asking how much space is needed to do the DVD around 3 weeks ago - I have still not started. However, I now have the DVD ... and yesterday managed to collar dd for long enough to sort through her crap prized possessions in the "back room" so that I will actually be able to move the coffee table to do the workout! My excuse for not starting Level 1 is that I then spent 1.5 hrs digging and weeding in the garden for "Operation Vegetable Patch" so was too knackered afterwards.....

Tonight I will find my hand weights which are lurking somewhere in the loft.

Maybe I will discover they are too heavy and will have to wait until I can buy some more!

It sounds like everyone is is doing really well! Keep it up!

marmalade32 · 04/05/2010 10:17

Well did last day of Level 1 yesterday. Tried extra hard as a goodbye present, but still can't fo full press ups and that last weights with the raising to eyelevel is impossible - still only on 1 kg weights for it. Consequently I am nervous about doing level 2 today, if I'm still struggling with 2 aspects of Level 1. But I do feel ready to move on so will see what happens. Well done to the new converts. Will be doing it this afternoon so fingers crossed. I need to lose weight and inches, but I am feeling less tired and when I do my 5 am starts at work am not struggling anymore, so there's definitely a positive in doing this.

Tortoise · 04/05/2010 10:56

Fustyarse - I agree with joby. Try and do it again tonight but maybe take it a little easy if it hurts.

Purplefrog - No more excuses lol! Just do it!

Marmalade - Maybe give level 1 a bit longer if you are struggling with it. Level 2 has a lot of plank exercises which are hard on the arms. I still can't do full push ups!

I am going to do measurements one day this week to see if i have lost any inches! Still weighing in once a week though because i like to see if i have lost any weight! Lost 1lb last week which i am happy with.

Nolda · 04/05/2010 11:17

Wasn't keen to exercise today but it's great that it's only 20 minutes so the pain and suffering is its soon over. Just finished day 3 of level 1 and finding that my lack of co-ordination is not improving. I find it hard to do the side lunges and raise my arms at the same time.

Well done on the weight and inch losses. Particularly jealous of the thigh inch loss (glances down at legs in despair).

twinkle183 · 04/05/2010 11:34

nolda don't worry your get there.. it takes time to get use to things like that!!!

Have had a few days off due to cold but its now subsiding so no excuse anymore.. am going to start at the beginning of my 30 days as I feel I have been taking the mickey a bit...

I am determined now to get the job done and do it well! Although inches are starting to remove themselves.. for me I do struggle with time but I know I will get there in the end!!!

Thanks for all the support and I won't let you girls down... PROMISE!!!
