Anyone else doing 30 day shred?

I heard lots about it and got the dvd. I'm on day 2 and can feel my muscles aching!
I'm trying to combine it with a diet too.

Is anyone else doing this/thinking of doing it?

Right - level 1 day 1 - done

I like it - 20 mins of hard sweat and your done. especially at 7.30am!

Used tins of beans, but figured better than nothing. will try and get some weights this weekend.

I could do with a mirror as I'm not sure of my positions.

Might have to get dh to watch [OMG!!] to put me right.

am very sweaty though - so off for a shower

Joby1970 · 30/04/2010 08:15

Well done Furball - that's it you're part of the cult now lol x

Fruitgums · 30/04/2010 09:19

Hi all,

I am restarting the shred again (made it Day 6 previously and just gave up!) and hoping to do a session tonight.

Nice to see familar names here

Squidmission · 30/04/2010 09:34

Day 3 level 2 done!

to those of you having problems with your knees - I was having some minor problems until I really listened to her. When you do the squats, focus on sticking your butt. It kind of adjusts your position a bit.

I'm the lightest I have been in ages

Good Morning ladies... and I am on a high!!!

I know it's not about how much you weigh but how you feel and I did weigh myself today and have lost 4lbs in four days thanks to the food advice on here... and have lost two inches off my waist...!!! WOOHOO

Well done furball welcome to the cult.. your never leave... hehehe

wombfrootshoot yes that the one we are doing... it consists of 3 levels... start with level 1 and be prepared to sweat....

Am glad I had yesterday off although, ds 2 had me up all night and then decided he was awake at 4am... so am shattered but completely motivated to do this shred today and my 50 minute powerwalk that I promised on here yesterday!!!

I love the fact that I am hook... Keep going girlies!!!

WombFrootShoot : don't chuck Wiifit in the bin - its still good for the fun part of keeping fit lol.

rubyrubyruby : the Shred is the IDEAL thing for making you look good in your bikini. You should notice changes fairly quickly if you're not overweight as your muscles will be seen that bit quicker - lucky you.

Tortoise · 30/04/2010 12:06

Yay well done Furball. Hope you are hooked already!

HappyHome · 30/04/2010 12:15

Hi, another Shred convert here thanks to this thread. Just completed day 4 of levei 1 - phew!

LostGirl · 30/04/2010 13:43

Congrats on your new waistline Twinkle, that's fantastic (but can I tell you off for weighing yourself after only 4 days !) Glad all your hard work is starting to show.

Furball, I know what you mean about needing a mirror, I have to ask dh to spot my form when I'm doing new exercises. Once you've done it the right way then you now how the movement should feel. I have spent years not squatting deeply enough, never felt it work my butt and hamstrings until recently!

rubyrubyruby, Joby is right, you will probably see results really quickly if you don't have weight to lose. Your shoulders and abs will be stunning in your bikini within a month

Take a picture of yourself from front and back with your hands on your hips, then again when you have finished your thirty days. Loving what weight training does for your body Why are women always being made to feel like they shouldn't use weights???

WombFrootShoot · 30/04/2010 14:20

I got completely addicted to Body Pump a few years ago. I wonder if the same addiction to the Shred is nigh...

(I've ordered it - rubyrubyruby we can be exhausted, sweaty and floppy together! [that sounds rude])

Joby1970 · 30/04/2010 16:27

it does sound rude!

twinkle183 · 30/04/2010 16:40

Am sorry lostgirl couldn't help myself!!! but won't do again, promise!!

Tortoise · 30/04/2010 19:34

Not sure what time to shred tonight. Tesco shop due between 8 and 10pm. No time before 8 unfortunately but don't want to get caught hot and sweaty by tesco man!

omydarlin · 30/04/2010 21:10

LOL Tortoise ! depends what the Tesco Man looks like!

Ok guys back on Shred tommorrow morning - i want to feel like a proper member of this cult!

twinkle183 · 30/04/2010 21:42

Managed L3 today and a 30 minute powerwalk!! Not sure I like L3 as much as much as the other levels so think I am going to mix the levels up.. Just for fun!!!

simmo39 · 30/04/2010 22:41

ok I am convinced, your motivation message has helped me twinkle. I have just ordered 30 day shred from amazon, free super saver delivery so should have it by this time next week. One of the customer reviews on Amazon inspired me, a 60 year old woman was doing it which I thought was just fantastic, and she said it was already helping get rid of her bingo wings ! :O

mummytotwins · 30/04/2010 23:09

Level 1 day 5 done yay!!! felt a little easier tonight and my knee isnt so sore.

Can I ask though is anyone on here doing weight watchers too? what activity points do you think this would earn me? Im not going to eat them but I went over a bit today and am wondering whether to restrict my points or rely on my shred iykwim?!?!

twinkle183 · 01/05/2010 08:36

I am doing ww aswell and don't eat the activity points, it depends on your weight I guess! But i earn only 2 points from it as it's only 20 mins and i'm 11 stone!!

Don't worry about going over by a couple of points you can get them back another by just eating a zero or low point soup or something like that!!!

simmo39 I am glad your joining us am loving it and have already noticed a difference!!

Squidmission · 01/05/2010 09:13

Thats fantastic Twinkle! well done on the loss.

Day 4 level 2 done. It was tough today as I had a late night but I HAD to do it. Now I'm so glad its over with. I think I'm addicted.
