Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

OOOh alomst under 11 stone I dream of getting to that, well done Twinkle, and keep up the running sounds like it is really paying off
Have lost 5 lb this week, am very chuffed! Keep jumping on the sales to check I got it right. Some trousers I bought 2 weeks ago are already baggy
Think I will invest in some leggings (I know they look awful on larger ladies) and some long floaty tops, as can't really afford to buy new stuff every couple of weeks. They then should see my through to my goal weight if I carry on like this.

ITPIYH - How much do you have let to go?
RSNK - of course you can do it, go girl!

MumGoneCrazy · 20/03/2010 00:27

Sorry forgot to answer this before

I do jackknifes on the wii but can do them without the wii obv, you lie flat on the flor on your back, then bend your knees up with just your heels on the floor and arms stretched above your head flat on the floor then raise your legs and arms while tightening your tummy so your in "v" shape hold for 5 secs then lower your arms and legs again count to 5 and repeat, i do 20 of them each time

kurves · 20/03/2010 16:42

redshoesnoknickers · 21/03/2010 11:53

i am in the house and its a really nice day i am so fat today stuffed my face and have to literally start again from scratch but i am not bothered i know this diet works so i just got to get on with it i have my weekly plan worked out so just taking it easy for today .i am going to do it for 30 days and see how it goes and then =for another, and so on .i think it is because i am mid cycle i am so bloated and just craving for sweet stuff but from tomorrow its on..

redshoesnoknickers · 21/03/2010 17:08

Tomorrow is another day kurves - don't worry

I've booked to have highlights on Good Friday so a bit naughty as I haven't definately lost a stone by then, but if I don't book I won't get in for aaaaages so I just better make sure I am 10st on Good Friday morning so I can fully deserve my treat if when I am 10st I am also going to buy some new skinny jeans, hopefully in size 10 instead of current 12 as mine are ripped at the knee.

Can't wait!!

Well i give up

Have had a shit weekend, i feel depressed, me and DP split up on friday and i dont think im going to be able to cope with 4DC a dog and a diet not while i feel like this

redshoesnoknickers · 22/03/2010 06:18

Oh Mumgonecrazy i'm so sorry you have split from your DP (unless he was horrid in which case - well done!) Don't worry about the diet for now, just concentrate on you and the DCs, there's plenty of time for everything else when you feel up to it un-mumsnetty big hug for you

Well I am 10st 4.5 today which means half a pound off since friday. This is after eating takeaway fish and chips with pea fritter and mayo and half bottle wine on fri night, tuna and a mountain of rice, two shortbread triangles and a bottle of wine on sat night and an enormous salad with cheese, avocado and guacamole, half a bottle of wine and some bacardi last night. (And before anyone says I know I drink too much but I like it )

The reason I still lost is because that's pretty much all I ate. I'm just eating a big meal in the evening with the odd bit of fruit if I feel hungry in the daytime. It seems to work for me as i've never been one for breakfast and planning all the healthy meals/counting calories etc gets boring so quickly that i end up giving up. This doesn't even feel like a diet cos I eat whatever I want, just in the evening, so if I feel hungry at 3pm or whenever I just think of the lovely dinner i'm going to have and have a coffee instead and wait. It's not for everyone but it seems to suit me. I think there is a real diet plan a bit similar called the warrior diet or something but i haven't read up on it...

Have a good week everyone, two weeks til Easter now!! Is that stone going to be off?

Morning girlies... have been really good this weekend even though I did have my christening on Sunday.. the Buffet was enoromous but I only grazed and didn't eat too much so hopefully things will still be moving in the right direction...

Am so sorry that you and dp have split MGC if there is anything I can do to help I will!!! (((((BIG HUGS)))))) I wouldn't worry about the diet too much if I am honest... Like redshoes said just concentrate on you and the kiddies first...!

Am looking forward to weigh in on Friday to see if I go below 11st... dh and I are going to do a circuit tonight... so I know I will hurt tomorrow but atleast it will be a change from running on my own....

Keep it up girlies.!

MumGoneCrazy · 22/03/2010 14:47

Redshoe thats been my diet for the past 10 yrs since moving out of parents house at 16

I never eat breakfast rarely eat lunch and have a big meal around 5ish with all the family, the only time i eat more is when im trying to follow a diet, not eating hasn't helped me so i know im not in any danger of be coming anorexic

Thanks redshoes and twinkle, i feel foolish now because me and DP sorted things last night, i kind of ended things in the middle of an arguement and was too proud stubborn to admit to him i didn't want us to end really although i am still pissed at him, and things are going to take awhile to get back to normal as there's a big trust problem in the middle of us now

Sooooo.....diet is back on

redshoesnoknickers · 22/03/2010 15:34

Glad you are sorting things out with DP MumGoneCrazy - i'm glad i'm not the only crazy eater! The thing about me eating like this is it means I am not munching biscuits all day which is my default instead of breakfast and lunch!

Am having Nigel Slaters prawn noodle thai soup tonight - yum!

We're having meat and potato pie, veg and gravy in a bit

Me and DD2 have made chocolate muffins and it has taken everything i've got inside me not to eat them

They are just sat on the wire cooling tray calling out to me "eat me" "eat me" and they are still warm

simmo39 · 22/03/2010 22:11

MGC - sounds like you have had a stessful few days, did you resist the muffins? Wouldn't blame you if you didn't.

I could not go all day without food, would crack by mid afternoon and consume anything and everything in sight! Funny how we all manage in different ways.

Am missing wine......got my 40th birthday party in less than 2 weeks, haven't got a new outfit yet. Got a lovely dress I have only worn once then put on too much weight to wear again. Tried on the other day and about an inch from being able to do the zip all the way up. Do you think if I bought one of those pull you in girdles it would do the trick? Think I am going to drink wine at my party.....

Had some really nice meals today from my latest food delivery. Scoffed lots of prawns and peanuts too today !

redshoesnoknickers · 23/03/2010 13:48

Well DH has been in bed with flu for two days and this morning I started to feel pretty ill so diet out the window but still trying to be healthy - bran flakes for brekkie, baked pot and cheese for lunch etc but i'm not hopeful cos I tend to eat like a horse when I have a bad cold/flu to cheer myself up

OP posts:
simmo39 · 23/03/2010 15:25

I have heard the saying feed a cold, starve a fever!

Didn't manage the walk to school today, both DC had us up in the night! Shattered, so we all overslept and I drove DS to school.

Will do Davina tonight to make up or it promise. Just pondering what to have for dinner, sausage casserole or beef burgion????

MumGoneCrazy · 23/03/2010 15:40

Nope i couldn't resist them, i ate two of them, one 5mins after posting and the other last night with a cup of tea while watching eastenders

I haven't done no exercise yet as i've been in town all day then had to collect the DC from school so i've done a fair bit of walking and will do some wii fit later.

twinkle183 · 23/03/2010 17:35

Am doing okay ladies... did a circuit with dh for an hour last night and I am knackered I think I have pulled a muscle from all the running I have been doing as when I run I have shooting pain up my left leg and in to my hip bone...

Have walked to pick up ds 1 with dh and the dd and ds2 in the pushchair its like a 1 mile walk there and back with some lovely steep hills... to tough terrain... managed to do it in an hour which was not back going...!!

Food am not doing too back although I did treat myself to some malteasers today the first bit of chocolate in weeks... I loved it!!!

Am about to cook low fat chickem korma for dinner... am so hungry after that walk that I could eat my own arm... Am thinking of either doing a aerobics vid later or going for a long power walk on my treadmill on a steep incline!!! Hoping all this will show up on the scales on friday!!! Heres hoping.....!!!

Keep going girlies I know we can do it...

kurves · 23/03/2010 20:30

you know red shoes that is what i find that i am doing on my diet in the day i eat fruit and 2 cambridge low cal shakes then a 470 cal meal at dinner it works so just got to stick at it.BACK ON THE DIET GIRLS happy days are here again now all i have to do is strat to date i have 2 dates planned and i want to get to a certain weight before i go outr thats mad i know.

kurves · 23/03/2010 20:30

when is easter.

simmo39 · 23/03/2010 20:30

Well done twinkle it has got to show on the scales!

MGC - I am imagining the taste of those chocolate muffins, yummmmm! My treat list is getting bigger when I lose all my weight, at this rate I will put it all back on in the first week!!!

But seriously there are some things I really miss like crisps but LC has been so much easier than I thought, I do feel confident that this is a lifestyle change for me, and won't be that hard once I come off the GoLower meals for good. For once the weight is shifting, I am sticking to my diet, and not yo yoing every couple of weeks.

MumGoneCrazy · 23/03/2010 22:06

Simmo the kids had 3 each so thankfully they were gone pretty quickly or i would of eaten more, only reason i had 2 was because DP left his and it looked lonely, so he joined his friend in my tummy

SciFiFan · 24/03/2010 09:22

Hi Guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while - real life getting in the way .

Last Friday was my weigh in and I've lost another 1lb so am down to 10st 10. I've managed to kill my scales though so I can't weigh in again until I buy a new set.

Well done to all those who have lost weight this week and to those that haven't don't give up. Giving up just means more weight gain and then feeling guilty and bad.

I don't think I'm going to make a stone by easter but if I could get down to 10st 7 I'll be happy.

I'm struggling with food and exercise at the mo as I'm stuck in the house with a sick DS (chickenpox) but hopefully I can catch up later this week.

simmo39 · 24/03/2010 22:44

Had huge row with DH this evening, he confessed to scoffing 3 of my Golower meals, I am really pissed at him. Its ok for him, he doesn't need to lose weight, those meals are my lifeline at the moment. I know that sounds dramatic but it will leave me short before my next order. Will have to call the counsellor tomorrow to either get my delivery early or get some recipes.
What is even more annoying is that DH has taken himself off upstairs to sulk and I scoffed a bar of chocolate (his chocolate!!) in angry / retaliation. I didn't even enjoy it as much as I thought I would and now I am so fed up.
AAAARRRRRR MEN !!

MumGoneCrazy · 25/03/2010 00:25

I put on 4lbs this week

Damn muffins
I also blame the fact that im due on my period and bloated

twinkle183 · 25/03/2010 11:59

Am struggling also this week.. did a circuit with hubby the other day and I think I have hurt myself.. not been struggling with exercise despite the injury but with food!!

I can never seem to focus when he is home... we seem to tempt each other.. he also needs to loose a bit of weight for his job and seems to be hogging the bloody treadmill all the time Don't get me wrong I love having him home but I get in to a routine and then he desturbs it... it's annoying!!!! I know this sounds bad but I know I'll be able to loose the weight when he is away...

Keep going girlies we can do it!!!

MGC am sorry you have put on 4lbs... it will come off again!!!
