Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

simmo I had a look and it sounds good but couldn't afford it at the moment DP is now out of work and our cooker broke down so have just had to get a new one, we need a tumble drier and we have a holiday in may that still isn't paid for let alone have spending money for

SciFiFan · 16/03/2010 16:32

MumGone have you tried keeping a food diary. I've been doing that the last few weeks. I did cheat a bit at first but it showed in my (lack of) weight loss so I've been really strict at writing everything down.

It made me realise that all those odd bits and pieces e.g. a biscuit here, a couple of chips off DS's plate etc were really adding up and spoiling the rest of my 'good' eating.

It's worth a go and doesn't cost anything .

Meanwhile I've been upping my exercise and do feel fitter and trimmer. I just wish it showed on the scales a bit more.

twinkle183 · 16/03/2010 19:05

MumGoneCrazy I do weight watchers but don't go to the meeting, so it doesn't cost me a penny.. you can order things out of there magazine without going to the meetings its great... I have started loosing weight already!

I was naughty recently and put on 5lbs but have lost it now and I also don't feel hungry... I have a spare measurer if you interest!! All the points are measured on calories and sat fat... Let me know if your interested!

Have been really good today although I haven't drank as much water as I would of liked to but am going for a run later.. to gain a few extra points but will try and reframe from using them!

Keep going with the exercise SciFiFan just remember muscle weighs more than fat! The muscle helps to burn fat so your find that your probably loose a couple of extra pounds soon.

MumGoneCrazy · 16/03/2010 20:31

twinkle I am interested...Thank you

I was thinking of joining WW but at the moment i just haven't got the time or money so have just been cutting out certain things and using a small plate to try and control my portion sizes as well as doing the wii fit although i gave up on the claire sweeney dvd for a while so i'll have to start doing that again.

I've just bought some lush boots but they are a little tight around the calf i can only just do them up...if i squeeze my leg so thats giving me the incentive to work my little legs off

Plus i want to be able to wear the latest fashions (leggings and skinny jeans mainly) without feeling too self conscious about my thighs and bum.

MumGoneCrazy · 16/03/2010 20:37

SciFi I've been using FoodFocus.co.uk which helps when i remember to add what I've eaten and the exercise I've done

It tells you how many calories you need to eat that day depending on the excerise you've done and it tells you if you have any calories left over so you know if you can have a sneaky snack

simmo39 · 16/03/2010 21:40

Mumgonecrazy - sorry to hear about your Dh being out of work that must be a worry. Why is it things always break down at the worst time! Not that there is a good time but you know what I mean. I hope things get better for you and when they do you might feel like giving it a try. I always recommend calling GoLower too as they can offer you a more personalised package, oh as I am already doing it can get you 10% off.....(but only 3 weeks to Easter so sure you will have lost your stone by then)
I am in for the long haul! Bloody ache from Davina, probably wont be able to sit down again tomorrow without wincing and groaning ;)

MumGoneCrazy · 16/03/2010 23:12

Well i have more than just a stone to lose so will be working this butt for a while yet

It says my ideal weight is about 8st and im 11st now but would be very very happy if i could get down to 9st but i keep losing and gaining the same 3lbs.

simmo39 · 17/03/2010 20:02

8st sounds so low can't imagine ever weighing that. How tall are you? I am 5 4" and would like to get to 9 stone and be able to maintain it comfortably. I have 3 1/2 stone left to go.....

MumGoneCrazy · 17/03/2010 20:04

Im only 5ft

simmo39 · 17/03/2010 20:29

would 8st be correct then? Still sounds low to me

redshoesnoknickers · 18/03/2010 08:16

For toning your tummy try Jackknifes I've been doing sets of 20 4times a day since monday and i can really feel my tummy muscles toning

MumGoneCrazy · 18/03/2010 20:42

Just found a brilliant website that has a brill eating plan, it doesn't tell you what you can and cant eat but it does tell you how many portions of starch, fat, veg, fruit and so on to have and lists loads of food and what they come under and how much a portion is, it includes snacks as well so i think from tomorrow im going to follow this for a couple of weeks to see how i go

simmo39 · 18/03/2010 20:57

MGC - well done! Go Girl
What are Jackknifes? I have started doing sit ups every night so could try to include these...

RedShoes - ~I am intrigued, you must spill all about your secret next week!

Kurves - was it someone you know who had the tummy tuck? I am interested in having one just really scared. If I carry on losing like I am on GoLower then in July will be at my goal weight and seriously considering it, as I just don't see how I will get my tummy as toned as I would like. Do you know much about it? Do you have to be at your minimum weight to have one done? I have had botox before and was very pleased with the results, am going to have microderma abrasion soon.

Well I haven't done hardly any exercise today, did the walk to school this morning and not much else. Met my friends for lunch and was very good on the food front had a chicken salad. Had my favourite GoLower dinner tonight, Thai King Prawn green curry could eat every day. Just tucking into some choc brazils, my little treat at the end of a lazy day....

Weigh in tomorrow morning, hoping for another 4 lbs will let you all know

redshoesnoknickers · 19/03/2010 07:55

Woohoo - 10st 5 this morning...5 more pounds in 2 weeks...sure thats possible?!
