OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Good luck for 2010!

I put on 2 lbs. Knew that would happen. I really need to get better at this!!

Going to get the 30 day shred DVD that i heard about on another thread. Sounds really good.

Hi Ladies, I'm glad you all had great holidays. Hope you had a great Birthday Tortoise.

My family and I finally made it back to England yesterday. We were stranded in Europe for a couple of days trying to get home - thank god we finally managed it yesterday.

The good news is that I've lost a couple of lbs - I don't know whether it was all the Scuba Diving on holiday or the stress of trying to get home for a couple of days.

13 stone 11 lbs

Just need to get back to the diet and the exercise regime again next week. Fingers crossed.

Mamii I did have a good Birthday, thanks. Well done for losing weight on holiday too.

Having a good week so far (OK i know it is only day 2 of the week!!). Have a copy of the 30 day shred DVD on it's way and hope i can stick to that as it is quite short from what i have heard but Very hard!

12st 4 1/2 this week That means 3 and 1/2 lbs loss i believe. Getting closer to 12st finally! Hope i can keep it up!

Hello ladies, I'm back on-line now, had a problem with our computer which is now sorted.

Good news is that I lost 1lb this week, bad news is that I put on 1/2 stone over the Easter holidays, it just goes to prove that I put on weight very quickly and lose it very slowly.

Well done Tortoise a very good loss this week, I'm interested to hear what the Shred DVD is like, I was tempted to buy that one myself.

Wow! That's really good going Tortoise Well done! Did you get your shred DVD? How is it?

Totally understand how frustrated you feel Smalline, I sometimes feel that all I have to do is smell a piece of chocolate and I put on a 1lb - but to lose a 1lb means exercising like mad and eating nothing but salad for an entire week!

I've found this week hard work in every way TBH. Although when I weighed myself, I was 13st 10lb which is a 1lb off. Just hope I can pick myself up next week.

Thanks Mamii. Yes got the DVD. From what i have done so far it is good but saying that, i only got half way through the DVD when DD2 came done crying, coughing and saying her head hurt! Had to turn it off unfortunatly but my legs did ache the next day!

Probably put it all back on this weekend! Have been pretty bad.

I as you know have been faffing about.

But I do still make an effort every now and then

It's just toooo easy to put on the lbs and really hard to get them off.

I will be slinky (again!) one day.......

I did the whole 20 mins of shred DVD! God it is tough but as it is only 20 mins by the time you feel you can do no more, it is over. Whole thread of us doing it. Get it and give it a try!

Weights are needed but i guess you could use bottles of water?

Lol! I think they would come by courier not postie! Make sure they are big water bottles! I'm using 1.1kg weights at the moment.

Started today tortoise - used tins of beans - figured it better than nothing and will look for weights this weekend

On the weight front - I've really tried and OK I am a lardy lass but I've managed ahem 7 lbs this week

It still puts me to where I was at the beginning of this thread though. but, it's a start! Long live the sunshine

Wow Furball.

No loss this week, but I am looking & feeling slimmer so I'm happy with that.

My Shred DVD is on its way, I read the reviews on play com and it looks like it's the exercise challenge I need (need to up my game).

DH had his first workout in 11 years at the gym this week, poor thing has been in absolute agony ever since.

How are you doing Tortoise and Mamii?

I lost just 1lb this week but better than none/gain!

Aim to be 12st in 2 weeks time so i have 3 and 1/2 lbs to lose. Should be ok if i am good! Not been so good this week so i will try harder next week.

Small Glad to see another one who is going to start doing 30 day shred. I love that it is only 20 mins so quite easy to fit in. (If i can just make myself do it!)

Small and Tortoise you guys are really getting into the 30 day shred. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

I've had another bad week. I've felt a bit unwell all week and been struggling to get myself into work all week (I don't get paid if I'm not there and DH not earning) Yesterday, finally came out as full on fever, sickness, sore throat. Feeling really sorry for myself

I've only lost half a pound this week 13stone 9.5 lb. But hopefully, I'll start to get my energy back this week. (fingers crossed)

I probably put on the 7lbs yesterday - ended up in a pizza place and it didn't mention that the pizzas were humoungous! yes - I did eat most of it.......

it was a thin crust though

Furball How are you getting on wit shred DVD?
I attempted workout 2 yesterday morning! Bit too much for me yet. Then last night i did workout 1 with heavier weights.
Will do workout 1 again tonight.

Well I did level 1 and at the end thought that it wasn't enough, so I started level 2, was fine until I got near the end of the last circuit, then found I just couldn't do anymore so I modified some of the cardio, did some jumping jacks and running of the spot instead of what she was doing, hope I'm not too sore tomorrow.
