OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

April 2006 - I was 12st 5lb! So, like you Small, about the same as i weigh now. I should be stick thin by now!! Maybe in another 5yrs time lol!

I had a lovely smoothie for breakfast this morning, it had 1 pear, 1 banana, milk, spoonful of porridge oats and a nice big dollop of your favourite Tortoise peanut butterGrin

Have just had lunch, 6 ryvitas with cheese spread and marmite, yum, feel like bingeing thoughBlush will have some pear instead.

Stayed the same last week, would have liked to have lost even half a pound but it just wasn't to be, will try hard this week.

How is everyone else?

Hi small.
Sun still shining here too. It is lovely but i am starting to worry about clothes for the warmer weather.
Weight wise, i stayed the same this week. Well, i think i did! My scales seem to vary weight depending where on the floor they are!

Now 3 weeks without eating crisps or chocolate! Addicted to roasted nut trackers though Blush. They have been on offer in local co-op.

Also not shredded since Thursday last week. DS2 has been home this week with bad ear ache. Back to school for him tomorrow!

except yesterday went out with my M & D for lunch and thought I chose wisely Hmm with the menu - except for 'herb potatoes' were actually roasted and so were a heap load of parsnips.

It filled me up though and I couldn't manage tea.

Lost 1 1/2 this morning - so well pleased Grin

DS2 back at school today. He says his ear still hurts plus he is half deaf but he can't miss anymore school.

Wow! well done Pesme, under 11 stone that's where I want to be.

I gained 1lb last weekBlush I'm going in the wrong direction again am now back to 12st 3lbs.

Remind me please Pesme what are you doing to lose the weight, think I need some inspiration.

hi smalline - thanks. you can do it! i was 12 at the start of january.

basically i am doing ww and running. i think any system that involves seriously tracking what you eat works. you need to know that that wee biscuit makes a difference AND portion control. ww works for me as i find it easy to track. i tried the free calorie counters last year which were good to but i prefer ww.

what are you doing?

Nothing really Pesme just trying to eat sensibly, the thing is I can be really good during the week, then at the weekend I eat whatever I want, that used to work for me 10+ years ago, but obviously isn't now. You are right I need to track everything and keep within my limit, I might try foodfocus again. Last week I lost it though just kept on eating chocolate, I had bought some mini eggs for a function at the school next week, but they are all gone, I ate them allBlush, I put it down to AF which was due last week, hasn't arrived and I don't know when it will arriveConfused (pre-menopausal I think).

On the positive side, I did ww a couple of years ago, lost 22lbs, to date I have kept 16 off so it's not all that bad, would like to get to under 11 stone though.

Not happy with myself right now. Slipping back into bad ways with over eating Sad. And not shredded for a few days again either.
No doubt will have gained weight yet again.

On a positive note, i still haven't eaten any crisps or chocolate even though there is a big bag of peanut M&Ms in the cupboard which i love and have resisted. I feel at a point where i don't want to eat these foods ever again because i lose control over them.

tortoise - it is really hard when you have a sick child. all that worry and being stuck at home.

don't be so hard on yourself.

i wish i knew how to switch off overeating. i manage it but then slip back again despite best intestions. good luck and get shredding!

But he is better now and has been since the weekend. I feel like just as i make a tiny bit of progress, i ruin it. I don't even know when i will get time to shred this week. I am out tomorrow afternoon, Thursday afternoon and friday morning. House is a tip and has to be tidy by Friday afternoon(S/W visit!).

I think I need to go back to logging food eaten. so, this morning I have had banana on toast. will try and find time this morning to make soup for lunch or tea.

Logging it is definitely a step in the right direction Tortoise, I've started foodfocusing again this week, am trying hard to keep within my calories, am taking it easy and just aiming for 1lb off a week.

So far today I have had porridge with raisins for breakfast,
lunch will be chicken salad with balsamic dressing,
dinner will probably be homemade cottage pie, with lots of vegetables, aiming to go to gym tonight.

tortoise - hang on in there - blips are normal as we all know, well done in sticking with it and trying to find a solution. Smile

me? - I snuck in with 1/2 lb loss this week. I didn't deserve more, but as dh said at least it's in the right direction

I am now officially a size 14 - which I am well chuffed about. Don't think I'll ever be a 12, but a loose 14 will do me fine. Just need to lose this huge stomach of mine.

I'm not doing bad this week - went out for a huge meal (roast lamb) on Wednesday but didn't have a have pudding Halo

Have a big dinner today - will I be able to resist the crackling is the question. (I don't think I can)

I got chocs too furball. I am going to break Lent for one day and eat some lol! Will share with DC so that i don't eat many! Grin

Then will go back to not eating chocolate after today! I don't want to spoil it because i feel like i am doing so well not eating either chocolate or crisps for so long.
