OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Wow well done Furball Smile.
On day 3 of shred and it's going well. My legs are killing me though lol! Food still not great but i am trying. Oh, furball thank you for bringing back my super noodle addiction! Grin Hadn't had them for ages until you mentioned them! Now had them for lunch the last 2 days Blush. They are filling which helps but not the best lunch i don't think!

So far today-
Jam on toast x3 (i was starving this morning!)
Orange
Super noodles with a sprinkle of cheese!

I've just bought another 5 packs of noodkes for the week Blush

Today I'm tucking into mushy pea curry! tis delicious and only 1 syn for the whole lot.

It's a tin of mushy peas, with half a tin of tomatoes mixed in and I put in some cooked cauliflower florets and some cooked chopped sweet potato and a dollop of pataks tikka paste - tis scrummy (I know it sounds gross, but is soooo yummy) with boiled rice - not bad for so little syns.

SW is a miracle diet Grin

Curry sounds nice minus mushy peas! I'm not a pea lover.

Going to see if i can buy a butternut squash later and make spicy butternut squash soup. Smile

you can't taste the mushy peas - but they make a nice texture to the curry

Since lunch i have had
1 Apple
2 homemade choc chip cookies Blush.
Spicy butternut squash soup, added a little too many chilli flakes! Nearly blew me head off. Bad side is that i needed bread to make it edible. 4 slices!

I have bought some mushy peas to try the recipe Furball can't say that I particularly like the peas but will try it outGrin.

Am expecting a gain of at least 3lbs tomorrow as I'm just not in the healthy eating mode as yetBlush

Not sure about 'doing well' Small! Grin Not eating anywhere as well as i should! I am eating more fruit though which is good. Shred is going ok. Was out yesterday so didn't find time to shred but about to do day 4 now. Smile
I might change my weigh in day to Friday or Saturday. Monday not the best day as weekends are always worse! Grin

went out for a meal last night - was very good and just had a chilli - which I couldn't finish as it literally blew my head off. Bit peeved, why do restaurants do that? Surely more peeps don't like it than do.

and for pudding I was the only one to order a pot of tea Halo

I really need to get eating under control though. I had soup for lunch and have had 2 oranges but it is all the snacks in between which i ruining it.

Was pleasantly surprised with my weigh in this morning I'm 12st 4lbs so I have stayed the sameGrin

So far today I have had
Breakfast 1pk McCoys crisps & an appleBlush I had that on the run
Lunch sml piece of banana cake, cup of bean & veg soup, thin slice homemade bread

snack 1 cup of tea & iced doughnutBlush

I have a large bar of chocolate in the fridge

Keep on shredding Tortoise you are halfway through the 1st levelSmile

KFC isn't too bad FurballSmile

12st 10 1/2 so put on about 3/4lb i think! Ooops!
Day 6 shred done today.
Made soup again for lunch. Shame there won't be any left overs for tomorrow as DS1 loves my soup and DD1 discovered she also likes it so i am sure they will want some for tea. It doesn't go far even though it looks like a lot of soup!

Also make chocolate brownies (big mistake!) with chocolate buttons in. I have eaten about 10 giant buttons Blush!

Spring has sprung, it is a lovely warm sunny day here, makes me want to spring clean myself as well as the houseSmile.

So far today I have had

Breakfast porridge with raisins
Lunch cup-a-soup, 1 large pear, lf yogurt
Dinner will probably be bacon & lentil soup

struggling abit this week

dh's bday today and I've made a cake for us and also 2 different sorts for him to take to work.

an awful lot of bowl licking has been going on and some squares of chocolate somehow just vanished Confused

I've come down with hideous cold too and feel so awful I didn't even have tea last night - and it was egg and chips so must have felt really bad!

can't face weigh in tomorrow - feel so pants with lurgy, will just wallow in pancakes sympathy

1 tangerine, 1 kiwi fruit, 2 glasses of wine & 6 fruit pastels to be added to yesterdays eating.

Today I have had

Breakfast half a tangerine (found in DD lunchbag from yesterday) porridge with raisins.
Lunch will be bacon & lentil soup & an apple
Dinner will probably be spag bol.

You are lovely to make DH cakes to take to work Furball as well as a birthday cake, hope he has a lovely day. Have got a cold myself at the moment, but touch wood I don't feel as bad as you do.

Not sure what's on the menu today Small. Feeling a bit bleugh! Had normal toast and jam for breakfast! I need to use less butter though.

Just done day 7 shred though and i am glad i did it.
Yesterday, DD's had me running up the hill to gym club! We ran from one lamp post to another then wallked for 2 lamp posts! Grin Then while they were at gym i went for a walk with 2 friends which was just over a mile and a half! Then DD's had me running back down the hill(walk to one lamp post, run to the next)! Only managed half way because my knee was hurting. It did feel good though! Smile

Have rung me SW lady and told her to book me a holiday tomorrow.

Bit naughty as I have been naughty but I also feel shite!

bonus = I'm off me food so have only eaten as much as a mouse. I'm sure it'll all change later on tomorrow when the appetite returns - lets just hope I don't hit the Biscuit's with me Brew lol.

tortoise excellent idea about giving up chocolate and crips for lent - I'm going to join you. (not that they are my worst vice but because...well.....they could be Wink )

I'm going to stop being lazy and meal plan this week so I know exactly what is what.

Come on spring is nearly sprung and we might need to wear skimpy clothes soon

tortoise - have you tried just jam on toast and no butter.

you do get used to it can hardly tell. It's abit like giving up sugar in tea, I can only eat butter on bread if crusty bread [licky-d-lips] or for some reason a ham sandwich otherwise I don't like it.

Might be worth a shot to save fat intake?

Hope you feel better soon furball. And nice to have you on board giving up for lent.[ smile] I have told dc that I have given them up and not to offer me any! I need to explain lent to them though which is tricky as I don't really know lol! Will have to Google!

Meant to add, yes I have tried toast without butter but I find the jam stings the roof of my mouth.
Just had 3 pancakes! one with crushed choc ice (couldn't find vanilla ice cream any where) and choc sauce and one had banana and choc sauce! 3rd one nutella lol! Very yummy.

I feel alot better after me pancake (could only manage one) - I just went the sugar and lemon route.

I made a superb kentucky fried chicken which is very low fat.

I just bought some chicken thighs (boneless) dipped them in egg and then breadcrumbs with italian herbs and salt added and bunged then in the oven with some frylight for 35-40 mins

Served with jacket and greek salad - twas really scrummy and dead easy.

Day 8 shred done. I was amazingly keen to do it today. I think it is the sunny weather spurring me on.

This morning i had just a scraping of butter and jam on my 2 pieces of toast.
Had an orange for a snack mid morning.
Very unhealthy lunch though! Walls chicken and bacon pie! Grin Very tasty though! 26.8g fat Shock Actually wish i hadn't eaten it now.

I missed WI this wednesday as I knew I'd had a bad week I'm still not right.

Still off me food, so thats a good thing.Smile

weighed on my scales this morning and was the same as I was at the last weigh in 10 days ago. OK thats not great but just shows that all those extra nibbles and treats add up. hopefully I can claw 1 lb between now and wednesday.
