OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Good luck for 2010!

Right so far I have had

B Porridge with raisins (surprise surprise)
L Hot marmite drink
D Jacket potato, baked beans, salad & coleslaw

Snacks 1 pear, 1 tangerine, 1 jaffa cake, (was going to have 2 but I didn't really want it when I thought about it) 1 mini WW victoria sponge.

Went to a family cinema night at DC's school and had apple, orange, 2 handfuls of salted popcorn and 1 sweet. Came home and had a chunk of cheese (abt 1.5 oz), am going to veg out in front of the tv now with a large glass of wine (or 2 if I don't fall asleep) a bag of cheese & onion crisps and 3 chocolates from a box of chocolates. Now that I have it all down in writing it seems a lot, but I usually have a lot more than that on a friday nightBlush.

Well done for not snacking tortoiseGrin

Tortoise · 11/02/2011 22:23

Just a hot marmite drink for lunch? That doesn't sound much. Smile

I don't tend to drink anything but water which i think is good Smile.
Had some grapes which i enjoyed. Need to buy more tomorrow. Kids keep eating them all lol!

Smalline · 12/02/2011 08:13

I know, but I was going to have my spicy bacon & lentil soup for lunch but brother ate itBiscuit. Had dinner earlier instead.

I found it hard not eating more crisps or chocolate last night, but I resisted and didn't go back into the kitchen for moreSmile.

What did you have for dinner in the end tortoise

Tortoise · 12/02/2011 17:29

Ah I see lol. well done for resisting food .
For tea I had crackers with laughing cow light cheese triangle on.
Very naughty lunch today. will list food later. About to make your soup small.Smile

Tortoise · 12/02/2011 18:04

Soup is cooking. I have no idea how I tell if lentils are cooked. They look like mush lol so guess soft. Hope it is nice. The Bacon and onion looked delish lol .

Smalline · 12/02/2011 19:04

How was the soup Tortoise, hope it was nice.

So far today I have had

B Porridge with raisins, in fact I don't really have much else for breakfast
L Smoothie made with peanut butter, banana, orange, honey & yogurt, was delicious, had this whilst out shopping with DS.
D will probably be chinese - chow mein with meat & vegetables.

Snacks so far 1 packet cheese & onion crisps, 1 mini WW victoria sponge cake

Tortoise · 12/02/2011 19:33

Well done on weight loss.

Tortoise · 12/02/2011 21:00

OK, today i have had -
B Banana on toast x2 with a little sprinkle of sugar (less than half a teaspoon on each piece.)
Snack - medley bar
L Very naughty lunch of chips from chippy! But i didn't have anything with them!
Little bag of jelly type sweets.
D Small's soup!
Handful of grapes

And just had a bag of monster munch Blush.

Tortoise · 12/02/2011 22:22

And a banana and 2 mini rolls Blush. Attack of the munchies! Not good when i can't go to bed until after around 1.30am as DS1 is off on a school trip to Germany!

Furball · 13/02/2011 08:01

you two are posting well! nice to see it busy here again Smile

well done small on your loss - fab stubb Envy

I've gone crazy this week, don't know why. I've literally eaten my own weight in food and not healthy food at that Blush

I can't believe I'm such a pig - I'm like jekyll and hyde. I sooo want to lose at least a stone and buy lovely clothes etc but I hit the cupboard and go crazy. which is well......really bonkers. Half the time I'm not even hungry?? told you = I'm bonkers!

I've told myself I will write EVERYTHING down this week, to try and jolt my brain into believing the self devastation I'm causing.

am doing a quorn chilli for lunch [yum yum] I never used to think I liked quorn mince, but in a chilli I can honestly say you can't tell the difference. and it's all free on a green slimming world day. furball, stuff yourself with that instead

Furball · 13/02/2011 08:03

sorry - don't know why that turned into a link? it was supposed to say [yes furball, stuff yourself with that instead emoticon]]

Smalline · 13/02/2011 13:00

You are not a pig Furball, I think we all go through phases where we eat loads of rubbish, then eat sensibly, then back to rubbish and so on, even kids do it when they are going through growing spurts, not sure what we are going through thoughGrinGrin.

Tortoise I think your food intake yesterday was the best I've seen so far, a good variety of carbs, protein, fruit & fiberSmile. Hope DS has a great time in Germany.

After my chinese, I wasn't too bad last night, had about 10 chocolatesBlush & 2 glasses of wine, but it was a lot better than previous saturday nightsGrin.

Woke up absolutely starving this morning, this is unusual for me, as I usually have so much crap on a saturday night, that I can't face anything until noon on SundayBlush

So far today

3 digestives with cup of tea
cooked breakfast, 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs, bacon & beans, that will keep me going until dinner later. Planning to have roast gammon, roast potatoes, maybe cauliflower cheese, or cauliflower & brocolli, gravy. Will try & snack on fruit and low fat yogurt If I am hungry in between.

Tortoise · 13/02/2011 13:59

Agree with small furball you are not a pig. That is how I normally am. Really feel posting what I eat is helping me.Smile

So far today
B same as yest.
Snack 2 medley bars oops!
L left over small's soup lol. Not sure I would make it again but it is nice apart from the weird texture lol. Snak a jacks. (lol my phone turned Snak into anal!)
D is bacon and leeks in white sauce topped with mash.

Furball · 13/02/2011 15:37

thanks both Smile

Today tis miracle - I have been exceptionally good (but it's only 3.30pm) Wink

had 2 weetabix made mostly with hot water and a splash of milk.

quorn chilli and rice, 0% greek yog + teaspoon of honey.

and tea will be super noodles (dont ask, they are only 2 points on sw green day, but very delicious and filling although obviously there is no 'healthy' in that equation) Wink

Tortoise · 13/02/2011 20:21

That soup kept me full all afternoon. Now full from dinner but portion was probably too big!

Smalline · 13/02/2011 23:06

I know the feeling Tortoise breakfast kept me going more or less all day, didn't have dinner until 6.30 I think it was because both meals (your soup & my breakfast) had loads of protein which makes you feel fuller for longerSmile

I snacked on 1 pear, half an apple, 2 malted biscuits & 1 jaffa cake.

We had a dessert after dinner which was lemon drizzle cake (courtesy or Marslady) & custard, it was deliciousSmile, followed by two glasses of wine and 1 large brandy & coke.

I am trying hard with my food intake, I know that I have to work on my alcohol consumption. Knowing that I have to put it down in writing is making me think twice before I eat anything.

How did you get on after you posted today Furball?

Tortoise · 13/02/2011 23:27

Mmm lemon drizzle. I better not make that.
Also had monster munching and 2 medley bars. No I wasn't hungry Sad just bored Angry.

Furball · 14/02/2011 04:58

I managed to stick to the plan and had me noodles - i seem to addicted to them Blush

served up rhubard and custard for guests and I had merrengue nest, strawberries and 0% fat creme freche.

I never thought I'd say this but, with the sweetness of the merrengue you really can't tell the creme freche isn't fresh cream. amazing.

so yesterday = result.

Today I'm planning on lamb stew in the slow cooker (scrummy!)

Smalline · 14/02/2011 10:12

Cor you were up early today Furball, mmm lamb stew sounds divine.

Have been a bit naughty already, I polished off some rather large crumbs of drizzle cake that DD left this morningBlush.

Am having porridge at moment, planning to have roast dinner soup for lunch, then leek potato & chirozo soup for dinner.

Furball · 14/02/2011 12:13

insomnia small

crumbs don't count - nor does licking the bowl after making cakes for the rest of the household Wink

Furball · 14/02/2011 15:33

I'm still going well!

been to costa coffee this morning and only had a Brew and no Biscuit Halo

Had left over chilli on jacket for lunch

and have lamb stew with mash dry mushed boiled pots

Have bought a fab spring jacket/coat today the 16 was great the 14 abit tight - so bought the 14 in the hope it will spur me on (risky....but a boot up the arse needed) I need to lose about a stone I reckon for it not to pull at the zip. I'm going to leave it hung up on the door of my wardrobe so I can drool over it everyday.

Tortoise · 14/02/2011 16:24

I agree cake crumbs don't count. well done furball.
Had a good day here too.
Toast and jam for breakie.
Left over bacon leek and potato from last night for lunch.
Plus just had bag of hilarity hoops.
I have walked at least 8 today! And helped a friend clear their loft out because they are moving soon.

Tortoise · 14/02/2011 16:25

That would be 8 miles lol!

Furball · 14/02/2011 17:16

wow tortose - 8 miles, well done!

I've started walking whilst ds is at cubs and do about 1/2 that and get home pooped!

Smalline · 14/02/2011 19:55

Wow I am tired tonight, was supposed to go to an exercise class but just can't do it.

I'm glad you are both doing okay, wow 8 miles tortoise, is the jacket okay to wear without being done up furball?

I have snacked on one orange, some grapes & 1 digestive biscuit today, I'm so tired I think I will go to bed with a glass of wine once the kids are in bed.

Hope you sleep better tonight Furball, I can't imagine what it is like not to be able to sleep all nightSad
