OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Phew managed to stay the same this week, was DH birthday last weekend and we had a bit of a do, lots of cakes and goodies. I made some delicious and absolutely easy to make strawberry ice-cream this week from the double cream that was left over.

I'm going to try extra hard next week, cos the week after that it's DS birthday and there will be lots of cake in the house againGrin.

DS's birthday is on the 5th Tortoise, he is having a family do on his birthday, then friends around the next day for tea, 2 lots of birthday cakeGrin.

Well I didn't exactly try very hard this weekBlush I stayed the same, still could have been worst, could have put on weight. I seem to have lost the motivation at the moment, I know that if I just lose the 5 or so lbs that I put on over the summer holidays, my clothes will fit that much better.

Maybe I'll make a bit more of an effort this week, am back to my hard exercise classes twice a week, will try and Shred twice and take it from there.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi Small.
Not doing to well here. And i forgot to weigh myself this morning. My Brother moved out just over a week ago after being here for over a year. Now i am back to snacking in the evening. SadBlush And still haven't shredded. Blush
I have lost motivation too and it's not good! Just as i felt like i was getting somewhere i mess it up again!

I didn't weigh myself this morning either Tortoise it's been a very bad week for me, way too many goodies around, but it's mostly gone now thanks to meBlush.

I'm going to wipe the slate clean and start afresh tomorrow, I find that the first 3 days of cutting out junk food are the worst for me, once I'm past the 3 days then I am okay (mind you at the moment I'm finding it hard just doing 1 day never mind 3Grin).

We've done so well this year Tortoise and you did even better, seems a shame to let all that hard work go to waste, have you got any photos of yourself at your slimmest this year, maybe you could pin it on the front of your snack cupboard along with a not so flattering one, it might deter you when reaching for those snacksWink, I'm going to do the same too!

Hope DS has a great birthday on SundaySmile.

Will try and start afresh Monday. Get party out of the way 1st! Grin Actually glad his party is on his Birthday so there won't be much cake left and only one day of party food lol!
Just finished his cake. I think he will like it! Grin

Don't think i can bear to have a photo up anywhere. I will have to think about that one lol!

Well, i am Shock and flabbergasted! Weighed myself this morning and i am 11st 9lbs so around the same weight still. Hmm I have no idea how though.

That's great news Tortoise but don't do as I did last week, I stayed the same last week which I thought was amazing considering how much I had eaten the previous week, so this week I became complacent, well the result is I have put on 3lbs this weekSad.

I am still going to try and get back to eating better. What i am eating is no good to my body!

Must have worked of masses of calories today at DS2's Roller disco. I had my roller blades on the whole time so at least 2hrs of skating around! Also lead the conga on skates, did the cha cha slide and also attempted limbo on skates lol! Grin I had more fun that the kids i reckon! Blush

Actually my weigh in was ok. 11st 8 3/4 but i have eaten very little since tuesday due to stressful problem. Sad Which is not good i know.

12st 6lbs this week, am not fussed as AF came this morning, my first in 4 months, it's been so long I had forgotten the usual signs, feeling bloated, clothes feeling tight, craving chocolate and stodgy food etc.Smile

Am so sorry girls - I've not been about for absolutely yonks.

I have however put on the 2 stone I so desperately lost a few years ago and yesterday, bit the bullet and I re-joined weight watchers.

It's about time I started to 'think thin' and I am literally back to square one, just look at my first post in this thread back in January Blush

Hi Furball lovely to 'see' you, so... I've heard that WW have changed their plan, is it any good? how are you getting on with it?

Don't worry about being back at square one Furball I know the feeling, I have spent the last year losing half a stone, putting it back on, losing it again, putting it back on and so on, so now I am losing the half a stone that I will be putting on at Christmas, after Christmas I will lose that, then put it back on at EasterGrinGrinGrin.

I found last time I was on WW I could only eat like a mouse.....

This time on WW you can eat like a .....rat? you can have 29 points a day plus 49 bonus points per week.

Fruit is now free too, so snacking is easier.

I've not been doing too bad....for the first week but, I made cakes yesterday for a school event today and my ds is ill, so somebody Hmm ended up licking the bowl.

I've been reliably informed on the WW thread that the activity of 'licking the bowl' contains no calories whatsoever - so I'm pleased with thatGrin
