OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Oooh well done Small Another 1lb off. You are on a roll (a salad one of course!!).

Will try harder this week! Have a new bike so might try and go for a ride one day while DC are at school.

Thanks Tortoise, have found it a bit easier losing weight since giving up sugar and cutting down on the alcohol, I knew that it was something that I had to do, but didn't feel ready to do until about 8 weeks ago.

The hot weather has also helped (long may it continue), and, the new addition to our family has helped too, our lovely English Springer Spaniel, he gets me out walking even more now during the day.

2lbs off Now 11st 10 3/4! So that means i have lost a stone since Jan. Wasn't expecting it to take quite so long to lose a stone but hopefully as it has come off slowly, i have more chance of keeping it off!

How is everyone else doing?

Haven't seem Mamii recently. Or Furball. Hope you are both ok.

I stayed the same this week.

Not much hope for next week though, was my birthday yesterday, had a barbeque and ate loads, lots of cake eaten, had profiteroles for breakfast this morning, followed by more cake. I have 2 boxes of chocolates in the fridge, dread to think the damage they can do once they are opened.

Oh well I had a great time anyway.

Next weekend it is my DD2's birthday so will be lots of cake eating plus invited to a BBQ Saturday!

Bit more OFF this week
Now 11st 9 1/2. And i haven't shredded all week due to having a bad cold. Thought i had eaten badly but thinking about it, i have snacked on bad foods but not eaten any big meals.

11st 11 1/2 this week so another lb off. I've been exercising really hard to make up for all the chocolate I have eaten.

I've got to be very careful now food wise, the summer holidays is usually the worst time for me for weight gain.

Hope your DD has a lovely birthday Tortoise, have you made her a cake?

Well done NotsoSmall! Yes, summer hols is a bad time for me food wise too. I have noticed that i don't enjoy big meals now as haven't been having many cooked meals due to kids all having school dinners.

Ooops forgot it was Friday this morning! Will try and remember tomorrow although i haven't been very good today!

Missed about a week of shred due to cold. Back to it last night and tonight. Holiday now booked for 21st Aug so have a couple of weeks to lose a bit more of an inch hopefully.

Lost my focus this week and have put on 2lbs, I'm now back to 11st 13.5, I don't want to go back to 12 stone, so I'm going to have to try really hard this week, back to shredding daily I think.

Went on a 4 mile cycle with DC today which will do some good!

Hopefully we won't put any more weight on during the school holidays. I started the Couch to 5k yesterday, thought I might as well do some exercise whilst out with the dog.

Speaking of dogs, can you recommend any dog friendly holidays tortoise, we would like to take our dog with us when we next go away this summer.

I always put on in the holidays, probably because i am not walking 4 miles + a day on school drop off and pick up!

I haven't been on any holidays with the dogs so can't advise, sorry. Sure if you start a thread on here someone will know some nice places.

I would like to do the couch to 5k but too embarrassed to run anywhere where people would see me! Pathetic i know!

That's a brilliant result Tortoise considering it's the summer holidays and you we usually gain this time of yearSmile.

I've stayed the same this week, am happy with that, think I've found a happy medium, can allow myself some treats every day, as long as I don't over do it, but I have to exercise more to compensateSmile

1lb off again this week. Now 11st 9lb.
Would love to lose 2lb before going on holiday. 11 and a half stone would sound so good to me. Grin

Wow Tortoise you are doing so well, racing towards 11 and a half stone, me I seem to be racing in the other directionGrin.

Couldn't weigh myself this weekend as the battery has gone on my scales.

Not sure if we will be able to go away this month, DH has had his whole leg in plaster for the past couple of weeks, he is due back at the hospital on Wednesday to see how well his leg is healing.

Wow tortoise - fantastic!!

Sorry girls - I've been skiving big time and BIG is the word. I don't know exactly how much I weigh something like 12 st 9 ish and it's pants.

Hate hate hate it but love love love to stuff my face!

I have started running again though and I do make an effort with food - but not a big enough one.

So glad you both are still going strong though [proud]

I'll try and get back to it Smile

Furball Nice to see you. Had been wondering where you had got to. It is so hard not to eat food that is bad isn't it? Daily struggle for me but i try not to restrict anything so if i want a bag of crisps, i have one. Just have to try not to have more than 1 pack a day! Grin

Just 5 days of 30 day shred to go before i will have completed it for the 2nd time. I am proud of myself for keeping up with the shred. Will see if i have lost any mm this time! Grin

oh crikes! just been on the scales - 13 stone exactly Shock

Now if thats not enough to kick my fat butt into action I don't know what is.

I'm still running.....will try small plate to try and calm me portion sizes.
